Implementation team was wonderful and accommodating. User friendly UI!
What do you like best about the product?
SimpleLegal's UI is user-friendly for all types of users. API capabilities were strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting functionality could be enhanced. Budget and document management capabilities were limited. Support team was slow initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminated multiple spreadsheets and manual processes of managing matters and legal billing; the benefit of having data that can be reported on was a huge benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand the needs of your business and do not buy something that is over complicated. SL fit our needs and works well.
Wonderful experience. Their services are exactly as marketed.

Customer service is fantastic. The system is straightforward to use.

Their inability to set up automatied AFA discounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A fully automated system to run reporting and dashboarding has been beneficial from a metrics perspective.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use and helpful dashboards. Really great stuff.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it had some more tools for forecasting fees, but not a big issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much easier to track spend by firm and by matter. Helps me stay on top of our spend.
Great system from the accounting point of view
What do you like best about the product?
I love the easy accrual feature where we "set it and forget it". Like most systems, we do the most work up front, setting up vendors, contact info, matters, due dates, etc., and this allows us to use the system to collect all accrual responses. We have a lot of vendors simultaneously working, and this allows us to collect the data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot export the search results under the "Invoices" module -> "Received". This is useful to understanding which invoices are still pending review and quickly send the list to users with an action item. Also, would be nice to know who the invoice is pending review from within the search screen. Right now, I have to view the invoices, click into each one and see who is pending review and send a note manually. Would love a simpler way to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collection of monthly accruals for Accounting. This has saved lots of time attempting to collect data from several dozen vendors. SimpleLegal allows accounting to collect all responses within one easy to ready file.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
From the accounting side, this tool is wonderful and allows us to efficiently perform our month-end responsibilities around collecting Legal expenses without the manual effort hassle.

This newly used technology is very user friendly and helpful when trying to tracking, organizing, and sorting through invoices that come in.

I am very new to using this platform, I have nothing negative to say about the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
I like SimpleLegal's interface as it's easy and clean to navigate from a user perspective. The simplicity of SimpleLegal is a positive upside since it is a painless experience when providing a new hire overview of the system. I also enjoy participating in SimpleLegal Beta experiences for newly added or revised features. My team is rather vocal with feedback, and I feel that the SimpleLegal team values our feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish SimpleLegal had more to offer from an administrative perspective.

I like the approval process on invoices, easy to understand and easy to improve.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about SimpleLegal is its ease of use and intuitive interface. Implementation was smooth and relatively painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeping the platform simple has hindered the customization of some functions meaning we haven't been able to take full advantage of some offerings. However, we deliberately chose a package that had the functionality we needed without all the extra bells and whistles we wouldn't use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before SimpleLegal, we had little to no visibility into our legal spend. Having the data at our fingertips has allowed us to forecast our costs more accurately as well as negotiate better with our vendors.
