Stable, secure, supported, and free
What do you like best about the product?
We can always find drivers that support Red Hat. Red Hat contributes significant engineering resources to major projects in the GNU/Linux ecosystem. I have never had any problems. I feel very confident in selecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux for my projects; in my opinion, it is one of the most stable Linux distributions available on the market. The support is also a strong point; they are very focused on solving the problem in the shortest possible time. But the key point for selecting RHEL from Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the support compatibility with other vendors in the Hardware and Software area. It is very important to have all solutions supported in a single project.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about RedHat. In fact, in my experience, the only training to provide Red Hat Linux is the main supplier and the resellers. There is not much to dislike about RedHat. Nothing I can think of, I work with these devices indirectly and they seem to be more reliable than if I were using a Windows device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are capable of using Linux servers in a universal forwarder configuration across our entire network. We needed a stable Linux distribution for the company that we could purchase support from the manufacturer for some time. I was adept with the Debian distribution, but I had some issues with HBA drivers and storage support. I resolved this problem when I adopted Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL for these servers, and I really enjoyed migrating from Debian to Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL based on stability, hardware manufacturer support, and compatibility matrix. The setup was incredibly easy and maintenance is relatively simple.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some more push for RHEL certification would be great. The big thing is that you can try it before you buy it. RHEL is generally behind in kernel versions and software packages. You will not be disappointed.

Unix is redefined as Linux
What do you like best about the product?
i started my career as a COBOL and Unix developer. In 20+ years of experience I worked on various flovor of Unix like AIX, Magnix, Solaris and Linux. What I have noticed Linux has included many commands or arguments which we used to build via logic. For example grep -A, grep -B, sed -i, gzip etc these commands/ arguments were not there in IBM AIX. Due to technology advancement, Linux has incorporated these advance options/ commands and also the positive side is it an open source with great support systems.

RHEL currently has a quite large cost, which can be detrimental for some people. There is no standard edition for Red Hat. Linux like Windows and HP Red Hat tend to lag behind in terms of innovation compared to Oracle Solaris.

Highly recommended operating system We keep things simple, so any problems are usually caused by real bugs, and when we send reports, HR fixes them quickly. Highly recommended operating system
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In most cases, it is a much better solution than running Windows-based servers. Decide if you have enough guests to work with virtual licensing or if ad-hoc is better. Decide if you have enough guests to work with virtual licensing or if ad-hoc is better.
