A Helpful Project Management Software - Just Missing A Few Things
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets provides a basic project management software option for people who are looking for a simple system to help them stay organized with tasks, especially if they are working frequently with a team that needs to communicate about those tasks. The ability to assign, tag, and chat within the program is very helpful for managing projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app feels outdated, it is not easy to sort through more recent projects and it feels a bit clunky overall. When I last looked, there was no mac desktop app either which would be nice to have. Some of the project view options are outdated too. So it's clear updates are being made incrimentally at least. It's also difficult to find certain settings for the form I made connected to my board (adding a requestor or assignee). It always takes me 10-15 minutes just to figure out where the spot was to edit the form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a lot of design requests that come in daily or weekly. Smartsheets helps me to stay organized with not just the projects themselves, but the updates given for these projects. I would be overwhelmed and unorganzied without a software like this.
Evaluating Smartsheet for HR Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Smartsheet is that it's very interactive and easy to use, and my favourite feature is Smartsheet forms. As an HR manager, it allows me to create the forms and have all the results under one platform without having to manage multiple. What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is a powerful tool, but I’ve found that its interface can be a bit overwhelming for new users, and setting up reports or automations isn’t always intuitive. It’s effective once you get the hang of it, but it can take time for teams to fully adopt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us track crucial employee data and automate HR tasks such as vacation accrual reminders, staff surveys, and performance tracking. It also streamlines our onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as health and safety incident report tracking, and enables better overall reporting and analytics.

It can get expensive, especially for larger teams.

Easy to use and to track changes
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use from the first moment, really fast to learn. I like how you can track the value of a specific cell over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could become slow if you start linking together several sheets with vlookups so better to use index/match instead. The limitation of the number of cells that you can paste in one go is not technically justified and it is there just for you to pay an extra fee for DataShuttle. Overall, it is an expensive tool but usefull if your company already pay for it.

We use Smartsheet to create workflows that previously required more manual intervections.
Great product, not worth the new price
What do you like best about the product?
Clean, intuitive platform: Smartsheet’s spreadsheet-like interface, combined with views such as Gantt, calendar, and Kanban, makes it easy to get started and visualize work clearly. It truly feels intuitive at first glance. Strong automation capabilities: Whether setting up triggers, conditional logic, or approval workflows, Smartsheet helps automate routine work efficiently. Plus, new AI-powered automation (predicting delays, auto-assigning tasks, etc.) is making things even smoother. Collaborative flexibility: It's easy to share sheets and dashboards with multiple users, even external collaborators—with granular permissions. This streamlines communication and reduces the need for meetings and back-and-forth emails. Rich reporting & dashboards: Smartsheet’s customizable dashboards and reporting tools, including real-time updates, activity logs, and bi-directional linking, make visibility and oversight effortless.
What do you dislike about the product?
No more free access for internal editors: Under the new subscription policy, anyone who edits—even something as minor as a comment—must pay for a license; only actual viewers remain free. Sudden and steep cost increases: the abrupt, mid-cycle price hikes. Higher baseline subscription costs: Current publicly available plans now start at approximately $ 9 per user per month (Pro) and $19/user/month (Business), with no free tier available.

A user friendly and versatile tool for building and scaling processes and more
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is extremely user friendly, which made company wide engagement and buy in much easier. We needed a versatile tool to help us build and integrate processes, especially finance processes tied to our company’s portfolio, and Smartsheet enabled us to do this seamlessly. Its intuitive design and easy learning curve allowed us to quickly set up and roll out new processes. The wealth of resources available, such as the Smartsheet Community and Smartsheet University, have been invaluable in helping us find answers and expand our use of the platform. I also appreciate how frequently new features are released and how easy it was to integrate Smartsheet with our existing processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback is that the early adopter program is not available for EU account holders, which limits our ability to test and provide feedback on upcoming features. Additionally, many of the add-ons that could help us make our processes even more efficient come at an extra cost. When combined with recent changes in licensing charges, this can make expanding our use of Smartsheet more challenging from a budget perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has helped us close the gap we had around process integration and standardization. Before using it, many of our processes lacked consistency, but Smartsheet allowed us to build and standardize them effectively. It has also significantly improved communication, especially for cross-departmental projects, by keeping everyone aligned in one place. For me personally, it makes my job easier—I can set up a process, integrate it, and monitor progress with much less hands-on time. Another major benefit is having a centralized pool of information, which makes it far easier to collect metrics on portfolio status and evaluate the efficiency of our processes.
Elevates Day to Day Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I like the usability of Smartsheet and how easy it is to integrate into day to day work flows. The customization is endless as well when using the tools you can create dashboards or ticketing systems to make sure everything is trackable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the admin rules sometimes do not let you access all the dynamic views, Going forward Id love to see the admin be able to access everything even custom views to make it easier to give other users access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we use Smartsheet for analytics tracking and ticketing. I believe it has accelerated our workflows by having our tickets and analytics portrayed on a dashboard or dynamic view.
The one stop solution for your project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Automation and its easy integration with most of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Earlier Legacy model was best, current model drains much money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a solution expert, an SME for Smartsheet. All the requests from various department comes to me for their team's management. It was not solving the requirement in terms of report and automatic reminder when I was using Excel to store the information. Through Smartsheet, all requirements are streamlined through Forms. An automation is allowing me to act & work Faster. Reminders helps me to prioritize. I can easily see the pending and completed list with one click on report. The dashboards help my manager to see the current scenario with my load. Thanks to Smartsheet. I am loving it.
Really easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me stay organised and is incredibly easy for my whole department to access and update as and when needed. We use this on a daily basis and assists us in regards to supporting our customers

I am yet to have a bad experience with smartsheet therefore cannot comment on this
