Now I am smartsheet proficient, I enjoy using it.
What do you like best about the product?
- We use Smartsheet links for our Hot Sheet, Status and Pipeline calls, daily
- I like creating reports/ forms - these are used in my day-to-day as Project Manager
- I like the ease of using it, it is somewhat less complex and the UI is easier than Excel
- I think that is in intuitive, can link to other sheets/ data, and removes the need of making multiple documents housing the same info
- People find it easy to populate, once the initial sheet is created.
- I like creating reports/ forms - these are used in my day-to-day as Project Manager

It has it's limitations with formatting text differently in a single cell

- Allows automated scheduling - days can be pushed back and the entire WBS is altered vs editing dates manually

Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that smartsheet is collaborative and easy to use. I also like that there are emailed notifications when there are updates made on my assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it doesn’t save my work and I have to manually press save.

I like that SmartSheet can be accessed by team members easily and is accessible via the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't add more than one tab to the SmartSheet. Going in and out of sheets becomes tiresome and not a good use of my time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now out team uses SmartSheet to track metrics and to store information so that multiple individuals can access it. My business uses it vs. Google Sheets or Excel for the security features.
SmartSheet Makes Sharing Documents That Need Review Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration between different divisions is simplified with Smartsheet. The ability to add attachments to the row and turn them into proofs makes reviewing content quick. I like the capability to send reminders to our reviewers on the rows they haven't started, and I like that we can make rules for the columns that alert our team when something is ready for us to finish. It really takes out a lot of the back and forth you would be doing via email or messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you were able to "highlight" specific words in the pdf proofs to annotation instead of having to draw a shape around it or "dot" it. This would really help in our "reviewing translation corrections" part of our job. I would also like to see the ability to turn a video into a proof and be able to "time stamp" annotate what needs to be looked at or corrected in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduces the need for email and messaging. All documentation is recorded right in the proof and can be easily looked back on for reference.
Streamlined HR Processes, Needs Better Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Smartsheet connects data within itself, saving me a lot of time in tracking details like employee details that SurveyMonkey couldn’t handle. I find the index matching capability, similar to Excel's XLOOKUP, incredibly useful. The automation features significantly help streamline communication processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the reporting feature in Smartsheet could be a little more user-friendly. I'll admit, I haven't really taken the time to dive deep into it and figure it out with more nuance. However, it's just that the tool feels a bit tough to use and could be cleaner and more intuitive. I can't quite figure the reporting aspect out easily, which isn't a deal breaker, but it's something I'd definitely like to see improved.

Smartsheet connects data efficiently, saving time by automating information retrieval and communication. It replaces manual processes used in SurveyMonkey, offers data integration, and automates notifications, which eases tracking and approval tasks in HR processes.
Amazing tool for organising tasks within a business (all sizes)
What do you like best about the product?
It helps organise processes significantly and can be a good tool for analysis and data organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should have a search option for sheets that I have saved. For example if I type in say expenses then all the sheets relating to this should show up rather than me having to look for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data entry and query relating problems; it helps me because we can stay on top of supplier issues which is important considering the sensitivity surrounding payments and finance etc.
Intuitive Tool for Team Communication, But Needs Better Tutorials
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet to be the most intuitive software compared to other vendors, which makes it easy to use. It significantly enhances communication within my team, allowing for seamless data sharing and interaction. This user-friendly platform would be especially valuable if I were to start a small business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the learning curve for Smartsheet challenging because there weren't sufficient direct tutorials provided by Smartsheet itself, forcing me to rely on YouTube for guidance from other users. Additionally, I am frustrated by the limited capacity for features like pivot tables, which I need regularly, and the fact that access to these requires an advanced purchase. It’s uncertain whether these would be as effective as similar features in Excel or Microsoft's packages.

An easy to use, versatile software for project management, reporting and more
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very easy to use. I've heard comparisons with Excel, like Excel on steroids, but it's actually much more than that. When it comes to managing data and reporting it, Smartsheet is super efficient, it takes just a few minutes to setup very powerful solutions, using the simple combo of Sheets, Reports and Dashboards.
It can also go way further, using the multiple add-ons which take Smartsheet to the next level.
I would highly recommend Smartsheet as a work organisation and project management tool that's flexible, quick to implement with no technical knowledge, and very powerful.
Integration is excel thanks to the add-ons available.

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet, like and software, does require some change management, to make sure users understand the full potential and use it. You don't get much assistance with this from Smartsheet teams and it can take a long time to get simple features added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is very central to our organisation, used for all project and task management. It allows very easy reporting to the highest levels of the business. It is very easy to setup, helping provide important structure to all teams. With Smartsheet all stakeholders can keep track of everything going on, and get a better overall view of what is happening, providign valuable insights to take better decisions.
Smartsheets for Work
What do you like best about the product?
I can login to use it on any computer due to the webapp. The automation feature makes sheets seamless. The collaboration feature is nice as multiple people can use and update as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI seems dated. I wish I could easily email a link to a sheet with emails integrated in the sheet.
