Smartsheet: Intuitive, Comprehensive, and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Smartsheet for its simple and intuitive interface that makes it extremely comfortable and convenient to use. The visual calendar view is particularly helpful for tracking social media campaigns across various channels, making it more dynamic compared to Excel. Additionally, the color coding of campaigns stands out as a very useful feature. I find Smartsheet easy to learn and use, even for those who are new to it, which had led me to continue using it exclusively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Smartsheet could be improved by making it more mobile-friendly. Enhancing mobile compatibility would really be useful and potentially be a game changer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for tracking dynamic social media and CRM calendars, simplifying campaign tracking with visual calendar views, and color coding, making it significantly easier compared to Excel.

What do you like best about the product?
“This tool is the most user-friendly in the industry. It performs tasks that Asana cannot handle — especially in managing timelines, breaking down delays into sub-tasks, and working with predecessors. It allows you to dive into an incredible level of detail and easily zoom back out to a micro view. Overall, it’s an excellent work tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other tools, its main drawback is the lack of AI-driven corrections or recommendations. In addition, it struggles to provide a clear macro-level view for management, which is a significant limitation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly schedule optimization and application of Critical Chain principles
Smartsheet: A Powerful Tool for Organized and Efficient Work
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet for a while now, and overall, my experience has been very positive. One of the main strengths of the platform is how easy it is to keep track of everything in a precise and organized way. Whether you're managing projects, tracking tasks, or collaborating with a team, Smartsheet offers a clear overview of progress and responsibilities. The ability to customize views, automate workflows, and visualize data (like using Gantt charts or dashboards) really helps streamline work and improve productivity.
I particularly appreciate how user-friendly the interface is – it's intuitive even for those who aren’t very tech-savvy. The progress tracking and status indicators make it easy to see what’s on track, what’s falling behind, and where attention is needed. It’s also a powerful tool for collaboration, with real-time updates and the ability to comment or attach files directly in the sheets.

What do you dislike about the product?
Permission management can be a bit rigid or cumbersome
Assigning specific roles and controlling data access can take time, and it's not always immediately clear who can view or edit what.
Notification system can be overwhelming if not configured properly
Email notifications can quickly become excessive or disruptive, creating noise rather than delivering real value.

Essential for Team Collaboration and Workflow Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love Smartsheet's capability as a live platform that enables simultaneous collaboration, allowing my team to work together efficiently. The workflow features are incredibly useful, particularly the automatic notifications and assignment capabilities that aid in task management even when team members aren't present in meetings. It integrates seamlessly with Power BI, providing accurate, up-to-date sales analyses that inform our business strategies. Smartsheet is instrumental in maintaining smooth operations and project tracking, making it an invaluable tool at our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment

I find the product maintains a smooth workflow by allowing simultaneous collaboration, assigning responsibilities, and notifying team members, even when they miss meetings.
Simple, user friendly functionality, for better and for worse
What do you like best about the product?
Love the fact that you can drag and drop rows around wherever you need. There are great templates and the multi view function eg switching to card view is such a great option. It’s a clean way to produce project plans that are simple and easy to follow. It’s also a highly intuitive platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wanting to do more complex sums, or being limited in always having to have the primary column sometimes isn’t suitable for my needs. I would also prefer it if when filtering by row, any child rows that meet the criteria retain their parent row for context.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet as a data catalogue and often have to move data around to recategorise it. This is made very easy in Smartsheet by dragging and dropping. I also love how it can pull data across into a dashboard for easy visuals as I track time across my projects.
Effective resource management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really value being able to create an excel that has links throughout and a simple way to view resources and allocations. I wasn't involved in the implementation but in terms of adoption, it was easy for the team to learn and everyone actively uses it. I also like that it's easy to access sheets across the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a function that i don't like and found that there's more functions that i can access to make my work better. It's great to constantly be learning new things and getting support from the customer support team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving transparency across projects and workflows to make the team more aligned on what we're doing and how we're achieving project goals.
Smartsheet User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and formatting is what wins for me. Being able to create linkages between different sheets and to display information quickly and cleanly with summary dashboards allows our teams to review at the start and end of each day quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restrictions across the sheets within the organisation and duplications. The single biggest issue at the moment is restrictions to sheets and knowledge of 'lost' and unknown sheets that were created by past users.
A potential bug in Smartsheet is the autocorrect of spelling mistakes - it duplicates the sentence or does not change the word being picked up as spelt wrong.
A potential bug in Smartsheet is the autocorrect of spelling mistakes - it duplicates the sentence or does not change the word being picked up as spelt wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to quickly summary information for daily action/work - when comparing to the use of excel sheets which can get cluttered really quick and no ability to summarise information as cleanly. The benefit of this is the decrease in meeting length which means more time for action.
Approaching my work differently and innovatively thanks to the potential from Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like Smartsheet because it feels intuitive if you have ever used digital spreadsheet programs before. Where some of those programs have quirks or weird workarounds, I feel Smartsheet is to the point and doesn't waste time setting up your project. I have used Smartsheet to build surveys and logic to make sure the target audience is getting the right set of questions. My team and I got about 45 responses via the Forms features and not one of those experienced technical issues so I have the confidence that Smartsheet will work when it needs to. I also use Smartsheet to automatically create PDFs that has fillable fields so that is a big plus I no longer have to manually create each PDF. At the company I work for, we have over 80% of our colleagues in some way interacting with Smartsheet which has minimized the initial learning curve and setting us up for long-term success via streamlined and optimized workflows. In short, I highly recommend Smartsheet!
What do you dislike about the product?
This could be more my current skillset but I struggle with the formula function and dashboard feature. I wish there was a list of the top ten most used formulas ready to go and maybe a few prompts from Smartsheet that ask me what I want to accomplish and it takes care of the rest. I also sometimes have troubles recognizing the different uses for sheets or the other spaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is making colleagues more efficient with their time thanks to the automation features plus become a centralized place to store and analyze information in a meaningful way. For me, I benefit by having a simplified work process that I encourage the rest of my team to contribute as opposed to trying to find them one on one.
Meh
What do you like best about the product?
The demo with your team was great! It looked perfect, customizable, robust, able to integrate, having an electronic queue is my dream! I saw these things in the demo, but have integrated ZERO of these features.
Currently using smartsheets as a series of spreadsheets that link together vs a fully functioning system like I was told is 'easy to set up'. It may well be easym but like most people, I am overworked and do not have the capacity to sit and fiddle with hand programming a workflow. Or even to sit and look through the little templates, I couldnt tell you whats there I have no idea.

What do you dislike about the product?
That I have to have the time to set it all up. I would have rather paid my printing vendor more money for an out of the box solution that is ready to start using without a period of time needed for my development of the workflow specifics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently using it the same exaclt way I was using excel and google sheets. So far I have not taken advantage of the features I was looking forward to benefiting from (one year later).
