From a creative manager perspective, it's great, but designers? Not so much.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, lots of available features, ease of inviting members to collaborate within the proofing tool
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a frequent user of the proofing tool and I really wish there was a capability of going into a designer view and be able to check off any edits that were made as a designer to mark as complete. We could have hundreds of edits, it's hard to keep track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting everyone through smartsheet rather than having to email separately and have threads, which could be a lot and get lost easily.

Smartsheet has helped me manage multiple projects at once and keep my team organized/ accountable
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to make checklists that can be assigned to individuals/ departments for large projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that it can be difficult to navigate at times and I wish that it would automatically save your work so you do not need to always remember to hit save.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps information/ task lisks in one central place for my team to reference when working on various projects.
Dashboard flexibility could use some work, but basic functions are good.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dashboard interface and the ease of having a Gantt display in it. I mainly use SS to display relevant information to clients while burying the driving internal dates/info. I like how flexible SS reports can be.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how new rows cannot be added in reports and there is an extra step to enter sheets to do this. I do not like the dashboard Gantt view and how it does not show all paths, the critical path, or relationships between lines. I would like it to be similar to the report Gantt view. Also, PPT and SS integration is a little choppy, with it going through the PPT links (that expire in a few months). Having a pdf upload would be easier for things like that. I also think the dashboard "widget moving" needs some work, as the widgets move out of place too easily when hovering, and don't move back to their existing spot when hovering off.

Limited Formatting Compared to Excel: While Smartsheet is powerful for collaboration, it lacks some of the advanced table formatting and data manipulation features that Excel offers. For users who rely heavily on complex formulas or detailed formatting, this can be a drawback.
Customization Constraints: Some visual and layout customizations feel restricted, which can limit how polished or tailored sheets appear for presentations or reporting.

We previously struggled with tracking requests and follow-up actions. Smartsheet’s workflow automation and reminder features have been a game-changer, helping us maintain momentum and accountability across teams.
Smartsheet as streamlined tasks for our agency
What do you like best about the product?
We like using smartsheet for task assignment because you can see everything that needs to get done in one, easy-to-digest place. You can upload documents, leave comments, chat with the assigner and indicate when a task is finished all within the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only grievance is that often assigners will forget to delete a task once it's been completed. This can lead to an overloaded assignment sheet. We wish there was a way for tasks to be auto-filed to a different folder once they were marked complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before smartsheet, we were assigning tasks via email. It was impossible to for others to see what the current workload was and impossible for those overseeing the tasks to understand what to prioritize based on deadlines.

What I like the most is probably the wide range of features and the overall simplicity

The downside for me is that SmartSheet can lag in Google Chrome when there's too much information displayed

Smartsheet helps me stay organized and maintain control over ongoing tasks and projects. It allows me to structure information clearly and keep track of progress efficiently
Overpriced, terrible licensing model, yearly price increases, clear priority is not customer focused

Gnatt view and scheduling features are nice. Collaboration is easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much different than excel. New licensing model is the worst licensing model in my entire suite of products. Overpriced with limited flexability, not options for lower tier. Licensing model on website does not reflect what you actually have to pay for. Other tools can do what smartsheet does at less price and more effectively.

i like that i can keep things organized in one location so i dont lose track of my projects that have to be completed by a certain time

sometimes it is hard to move cells around

Quick and Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like the format of Smartsheet. It is very easy on the eyes and easy to catch on to. It helps me keep my lab work very organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its diffucult for me to remember that this not excel granted they share a lot of similarities. But there is a lot of little simple little things that you cant do that are frustrating. I wish Smartsheet had more templates and even something as simple as a blank template would be nice.

It makes it easier to organize our data and be able to view it and compare it over time so that we can make appropriate adjustments to our business.
