Although it took some time to learn all the features I needed, its a helpful way to plan projects.
What do you like best about the product?
Dividing projects into different workflows each with different subtasks, and having that all connected to the timelines is very useful. It is so useful to have the feature that links dates so if one date changes, all the rest follow accordingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can import the info to make ppt gannt charts, but it would be nice if you could make clean, simple looking gannt charts automatically within smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving us a space where all of the team can contribute and adjust the expected timeline of our work and see how everyone else's responsibilities are progressing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the forms option to be able to track different things across the organization. I also like the ability for conditional formatting of rows to help visually know where things stand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things are more difficult to navigate.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet take sheets and forms to next level but making everything connected and easily customizable based on the need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has a bit of a learning curve for some of the more advanced features. Wish the UI/UX for templatizing sheets was more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross team communications and schedule management is easy with Smartsheet.
Using Smartsheet daily
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows me to easily collaborate with my colleagues and connect data easily to PowerBi for reporting. The forms have been a game changer for some of the processes that I've been struggling to automate for years!
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation of the number of lines you can have in one smartsheet

Team moved from word tables to Smartsheet to elevate our work
What do you like best about the product?
My team decided to start using Smartsheets to track our collective work. Previously, we were using tables in Word. Moving to Smartsheets has made a tremendous difference in how we are able to track our requests, share resources, and collect information. There's no need to update and re-save a word doc - we can all log on to the same sheet and save it there. I personally use Smartsheets on a daily basis, usually to make sure all requests are being addressed.
Smartsheet is easy to use. Once we had decided what information we wanted on our sheets, set-up was straight forward, with the help of some tutorials. It also was easy for the rest of the team to integrate into their work as well. Each person on our team utilizes this product and agrees that it is helpful to our work.
I also liked that when I first signed up, I was able to schedule a one-on-one call with a representative. I know you can look stuff up online but I prefer speaking to someone about what I'm looking for. He was very helpful and pointed me towards the trainings that I should start with.

This is probably an individual issue. Though creating sheets was super easy for me, moving on to the next step of reports and dashboards was a bit challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has taken our team from updating word docs to collaborating online. We use it to track requests, collect information, and share resources. We even use it for event registration. It benefits me personally because I was the one updating all the word docs! Now members of the team can go in and update the sheets themselves.
If you took the best things about excel you get smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very intuitive. The default toolbars and views make sense. The automation features are very helpful and is a way to do things like notifications and formulas where you would need to use something like powerautomate or macros if you were just using plain excel and other ms products. Also the customer support and educational materials are SO easy to access and use. The usergroups and such are very informative. If I had more time I would learn more about Smartsheet because it will make my work easier. The ellipses for columns are very handy, the
What do you dislike about the product?
The whole primary column and some of those things you can't change can be a bit frustrating, but really the only thing I dislike is that I don't have more time to learn about so many other features!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Way to keep track of information in a shared location and then being able to turn it into a report and/or dashboard.
Potential, but needs improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I like the different viewing options (Gnatt, calendar, etc.) and I like that you can assign people and send out notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that I cannot group columns for easy hiding/unhiding, and I hate that I cannot leave comments on individual cells. I also hate that I cannot more easily link between workbooks.

It helps to develop timelines and checklists and to hold people accountable for their assignments.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease if sharing / visibility on projecta throughout an organization. It brings data out of buried file folders and through dashboards enables visibilty needed to break down silos between departments and enable collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
Sheet limits on number of formulas and cell references are extremely low. Forces use of Excel for certain tasks, which is counterproductive to Smartsheets goals. Additionally, Excel is still far superior for creating charts and reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, shipping calendar, installation calendar, form submittals and approvals, automated emails, change order tracking, dashboards for running departments and meetings.
Solutions, Solutions, Everywhere
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has become my every day work companion. I love how intuitive the system is; it helps me find solutions to problems as they arise. My favorite aspect is how easy the forms make data collection. External users are able to complete a simple form that sets off a robust series of triggers that allow my team to work quickly and communicate effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I consider downfalls to Smartsheet, I fall short. The only downsides I can think of stem from company imposed limitations on certain features, which are not Smartsheet shortcomings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company was accepting paper contracts in 2024 because we didn't have any sort of project management software. Smartsheet allowed me to build a project management system robust enough to move our bids and contracts to the digital age. Now we use it for internal requests as well as external and we have streamlined a multitude of processes.
