Easy tool to distribute and tracking projects

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been really helpful for keeping projects organized and making collaboration easier across the team. I like how flexible it is for tracking tasks and deadlines. It saves us a lot of back-and-forth emails and keeps everyone on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to learn, and the interface can feel a little overwhelming at first. Once you get used to it, though, it’s super useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps our team stay organized by keeping all tasks, deadlines, and updates in one place. Instead of chasing down emails or separate spreadsheets, we can track progress in real time. It’s made collaboration much smoother and has definitely saved us time.

Streamlining Field Service Operations with Smartsheet

What do you like best about the product?
As a Field Service Systems Technician, Smartsheet has become an essential tool in my daily workflow. I use it to manage job schedules, track inventory at remote sites, and coordinate with team members across multiple locations. The ability to customize sheets and automate alerts helps me stay on top of deadlines and ensures compliance with training and safety requirements.

One of the most valuable features is the integration with forms and automated workflows, which simplifies data collection from the field and reduces manual entry. It's easy it is to share updates with my manager, keeping everyone aligned without endless email threads.

Overall, Smartsheet has significantly improved our operational efficiency and communication. I’d recommend it to any technician or team managing complex field operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is a powerful tool, one area that could be improved is its mobile app experience. As a Field Service Systems Technician, I often need to access and update sheets while on the go, and the mobile interface can feel watered-down compared to the desktop version. I usually wait until I'm on my laptop to forms that should be easily updated from my phone. Some advanced features and automations aren’t as intuitive or accessible on mobile, which can slow down field updates.

Additionally, while Smartsheet offers great flexibility, the setup of complex workflows or formulas requires a bit of tinkering, so other technicians would call me to ask how to do something. I would usually have to stop everything to focus on it, maybe there could be a simpler way to do some processes.

Also there's a limit to how many images you can upload. That slows the process down when I have 30-50 images to upload at one time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving several key challenges in my role as a Field Service Systems Technician:

- It helps me stay organized with training records like lift certifications. I can set reminders, attach documents, and share updates with my manager, ensuring compliance and reducing the risk of missed renewals.
- The collaborative sheets and automated workflows make it easier to assign tasks, monitor progress, and keep everyone aligned without relying on constant emails or phone calls.
- Forms collect field data efficiently. This eliminates manual entry and speeds up reporting, which is especially helpful when documenting service calls or equipment status.
-With the shared sheets and dashboards, my team and leadership have real-time visibility into ongoing work. This transparency improves accountability and decision-making. I think this has improved the overall completion of Time Critical task and help identify where more areas of improvement.

Smartsheet has been very easy to use for all of our meetings - easy to share sheets with other departments in our company, works well with collaboration

Works like Excel but doesn't offer the exact same features

Before, I was juggling spreadsheets, emails, and notes. Smartsheet centralizes everything.

Helpful tool plagued by reliability issues

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a user friendly tool for organizing my business workflows internally and externally with clients
What do you dislike about the product?
We rely heavily on smartsheet for daily workflows. It is consistently plagued by reliability issues. Standard troubleshooting responses from customer support are clunky, time intensive, and rarely resolve the problems. Inability to load sheets and/or inability to load critical features is rarely resolved with anything but time. Having a remote work force across many time zones and locations we are often frustrated to be pointed to potential local server issues when our entire team is impacted by a smartsheet outage. Customer service quality in general is poor when we compare it to other cloud based service providers (e.g. Dropbox). We pay for premium enterprise tools within smartsheet, but our experience navigating issues with customer service is anything but premium.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides a user friendly cloud based tool to manage internal and external workflows. Dynamic view function allows us to share comments to clients while hiding internal commentary

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets makes it easy to create lists with sub-lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Where do I start? First and foremost is their subscription model and the quarterly "true-ups" that they try to sell you is somehow for YOUR benefit instead of theirs. Now rather than creating users and, for the most part, forgetting about them until they leave the company I have to manually manage and review all of my users every quarter.

Smartsheets doesn't stop them from editing sheets like it did before for 'free' users so now they all edit sheets and become provisional members that I have to review every quarter. Because reviewing this EVERY SINGLE QUARTER is absolutely the best use of my valuable time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing that a well designed Google Doc strategy couldn't do for 1/2 the cost and effort.

Easy to use and share information with customers. We are able to track complex issue resolution with our customers and provide real time status.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve to overcome when setting up advanced features, and there are some limits to customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets helps us share information and data with external customers and provide real time transparency, allowing us to manage our time more efficiently. Customers can view updates on demand via the Smartsheets vs us having to review the information in a meeting with them.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is that your employer can make a sheet for the jobs that you need. I also like that you don’t need WiFi availability to do the forums/sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about sheets is that we should be able to keep the basic information, we need In the forum/sheet. The thing I don’t like about Smartsheet is theirs not all the features of other apps that can do the same, that I’m aware of like dark mode, sign stuff digitaly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the issue of doing it digitally instead of hand writing and sending the information via a scan of the paper
