Intuitive Grid View with Powerful Workflows and Timelines
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet’s grid view makes it easy for people to start—most users don’t need training to enter rows, update statuses, or add dates. But behind that simple grid you get:
Dependencies and timelines (Gantt)
Assignment, ownership, and accountability
Structured fields, drop-downs, and validation
Real workflow control (not “just a sheet”)

What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet formulas look like Excel, but they’re more limited and can become awkward quickly:
No true table-based references (everything is range/column based)
Cross‑sheet formulas are powerful but hard to maintain at scale
Debugging complex formulas is painful (no real “formula evaluator”)

Clean, Friendly Interface with Great Training Resources
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very clean and friendly. Also a lot of training and documentation available online.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations related to automations and column restrictions.

Powerful Tracker with Effortless Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the row attachments feature in Smartsheet for uploading files because it becomes a database repository alongside being a project tracker. The setup was very easy; our company had an account, so we just joined the plan, and it took only one day.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves accuracy and data integrity issues, providing visibility of information. It becomes a database repository alongside a tracker with its row attachments for uploading files.
Streamlines Global Setup with Milestones, Card Views, and Excel-Like Structure
What do you like best about the product?
It helps enormously in global setup. The possibility of connecting to various teams on one setup with defined milestones help easy progress monitoring. Card views are helpful. Structure near to Excel helps easy learning. WE are trying to integrate Smarsheet with our clients dashboard but are not successful yet. Good in terms of performance, but linking i have realised does take time. Initially it was better in terms of pricing and with limited licencing many people were able to collaborate and licenses were only needed by few who need to work on template but now its pricy. I ahve not used support so cannot comment. I dont see AI is helpful in Smarsgeet
What do you dislike about the product?
We cant paste real time screen shots if we need some fast conversations on issues. We don't have emojis sort of structure so that we get indications that info have been received. Dependency is good options but sometimes it messes with the manual data change. Few tasks are above in milestones but are not dependent. I see that Smartsheet have rigid structure in this regards. Linking a cell is too manual , we really need to scroll manually if we want to connect a project which is down in a sheet. We need to mark @ to all memebers of team to convey info, its not received automatically by all team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to manage our global project as we need to collaborate with various team across globe. Helps to create report faster to update higher management.
Effortless Project Management with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Smartsheet is easy and convenient to use, making it simple to organize tasks. I appreciate the tracking features and the Gantt charts, as well as the task tracker, which I find valuable for project management and planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the color options in Smartsheet lacking. It would be better if there were more custom colors available.

I use Smartsheet for project management and planning because it's convenient, easy to organize, and makes tracking with Gantt charts simple.
Powerful Sheet Linking and Gantt View That Simplify Project Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet provides useful functionality for connecting multiple sheets, for example through the lookup function. This makes it easy to pull data from different sheets and link it together in a clear way.
In addition, the Gantt view available in all sheets combines familiar features from MS Project and MS Excel within a single sheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can quickly become quite complex when you’re connecting several sheets into one. Because of that, it’s probably worth spending some time setting up views to keep things manageable. Performance can also become cumbersome, especially with a large sheet and multiple people working on it at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It connects data sources, filters out the right data, and gives you a timeline with a Gantt view at the same time. Because of that, it’s quick to learn and easy to use—almost like a plug-and-play approach.
Efficient Tool with Occasional Loading Delays
What do you like best about the product?
I like Smartsheet because it's a very professional tool. It merges planning, data management, and Excel sheets options all in one, making it very easy to use. In my company, I use it to upload documents, and it's very efficient. I totally like how it gathers all the details, documents, sheets, and work platforms all in one place, making it a very good tool to use. Especially their work platform is something I appreciate. I also find the integration with Excel very useful, allowing me to upload and download Excel sheets easily. The setup of Smartsheet was very easy and convenient for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it's taking a long time to load the page and gives me some indication or letters that we are experiencing some issues with Smartsheet right now. I really don't like this, especially in critical moments, like when you have a meeting, and you want to open something and share something, and suddenly Smartsheet is experiencing issues. Sometimes I think the servers need to be faster and maybe the capacity needs to be higher than what it is because many people are using Smartsheet and relying on it.

I use Smartsheet for managing and loading documents. It merges planning, data management, and Excel sheet options into one professional tool. It's efficient in gathering all details in one place, making it very easy to use.
Intuitive Spreadsheet Feel with the Power of Planner + Excel
What do you like best about the product?
It’s intuitive and works like a regular spreadsheet (like Excel). At the same time, it combines the best of both worlds: Microsoft Planner and Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, for a small company of around 50 people using 10 seats in Smartsheets, it feels quite expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I’m managing multiple projects at the same time and need to work with planning and dependencies, but still want a global overview without going into too much detail, this is a perfect match.
Flexible Project Tracking with Powerful Dashboards and Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet enables projects to be run using different methods to suit delivery and/or project managers. Providing the sheets are set up with certain mandated criteria you are able to report across all projects with a like for like comparison.
Dashboards are extremely useful when reporting up to executive team members and can be designed with their requirements in mind.
Workflow is extremely useful to prompt items for delivery of the project and capturing updates from a disperse workforce without the need for meetings.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find the resource management tool effective enough for reporting on resources across projects. Unlike other project tools it doesn't smooth resource time across a project and has to be input via each task and for the company I work for that is far too detailed to uptake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problems that Smartsheet have solved is having the visibility of projects and progress. This has been a huge benefit for decision making and understanding of how much work is going on across the company. Prior to Smartsheet this was all done by word of mouth.
Adaptable and Easy to Use, with a Fast Mobile Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Very adaptable, ease of use, mobile version is fast, basic pricing is reasonable

Once locked into relying on Smartsheet, features have been downgraded to uncourage users to upgrade to more expensive license
