How Smartsheet Transformed Our Project Tracking and Teamwork
What do you like best about the product?
Familiar Interface: Easy integration thanks to the grid layout’s similarity to Excel, reducing user concerns about adapting to a new tool.
Team Transparency: Promotes visibility in team processes, ensuring accountability and ownership among members.
Responsibility & Ownership: Encourages team members to take responsibility for tasks and fosters stronger engagement.
Seamless Integrations: Offers accessibility with a wide range of applications, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Miro, Power BI, and embedded links. Easy API integration.

What do you dislike about the product?
There aren’t many drawbacks, but I would like to see a more user-friendly interface that makes it easier to integrate with technical applications such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Excel, and Procore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
“One of the key challenges we solved with Smartsheet is creating a unified environment that brings most of our company applications into a single screen or dashboard. I really value the ability to place links, embed web resources, and integrate videos directly into tools like MS Teams and Miro. These features help consolidate information that was previously scattered across silos, bringing everything together in one accessible location. This way, any new team member can quickly access all project information and links to the corresponding data from a single point of entry.”

What do you like best about the product?
Having everything centralized under 1 project. Also, automation and updating things is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to click save constantly is tedious. Sometimes things are over-written if there are a couple of folks working at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resourcing and assigning allocation to team members within an organization. From a project management perspective, it's easy to update schedules, and have a centralized place for everything on a project.

Workspace as a great asset to collect related info like risk, stakeholders and more.

Complex way to adapt file raise to keep format, wasting time to get flows and the lack of AI to creat draft versions.

What do you like best about the product?
The most like about is the interface with powerful project management, automation, and collaboration tools. The grid view is instantly familiar to anyone who has used Excel or Google Sheets, which dramatically reduces training time and user resistance. Native integrations with core apps like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and Salesforce create a seamless workflow across platforms. Create rich, visual dashboards with charts and metrics to give stakeholders an at-a-glance view of project health and performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is significantly more expensive than many competitors (like Asana or Trello), especially for teams that need advanced features or many users. The pricing can be a barrier for small businesses or startups. While simple task tracking is easy, building complex automated workflows, dashboards, and formulas requires significant technical skill and training, often needing a dedicated admin or "power user.

Frees up your team to focus on high-value work instead of administrative tasks. Increases speed and ensures processes are followed consistently, reducing human error and oversight. Provides instant, at-a-glance visibility for stakeholders at all levels. This enables proactive management, helps identify bottlenecks early, and makes reporting effortless and data-driven.
Professional Use of Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect of Smartsheet is the dashboard and quick access to necessary information; this helps to sort and organize multiple sheets and points of interest efficiently. Having the synchronized sheets in real time with multiple users within the same team allows for effective knowledge transfer and updated communication. It is effective to have multi-purpose functions such as forms, calendars, notification reminders, and data storage
What do you dislike about the product?
An auto-save function would enhance the user experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a single-source data, workflow, and task management hub that has shared access with colleagues and supervisors has solved for issues such as reduction in administration tasks, addressing errors in scheduling, and clearing up miscommunication
Great, complicated product
What do you like best about the product?
We have found Control Center to be a very powerful tool in keeping our resources organized. We are a service provider, we accept multi-sample project submissions through a form and then track progress of each project, each sample through sheets generated with Control Center. We are able to record data as we proceed and have our overview sheets update immediately, allowing us to actively track all projects in our queue at once
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very hard to follow the flow of information through SmartSheet. Between forms, automations, archiving workflows, and formulas, we have found it hard to track ownership of assets and the sources of certain pieces of information. We have resources that don't appear to be owned by anyone and SS has not been able to track them down, we have lost assets with team members leaving that we did not know would disappear. It can also be difficult to utilize the formulas- I have found there are may limitations to the formulas that are not intuitive to an experienced Excel user

Intuitive UI, Needs More Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I found Smartsheet's intuitive usage from the user interface standpoint as particularly valuable, making it easy to handle. Additionally, the ability to see all company tasks in one place and generate comprehensive reports for over 800 sheets is incredibly useful, enhancing our accountability and execution.
What do you dislike about the product?

Secure and Simple Way to Manage Evaluations
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Smartsheet allows me to streamline evaluations for my students. With just a few clicks, I can send evaluation forms directly to their preceptors, and once completed, the responses come back to me privately. This not only saves time but also ensures confidentiality and efficiency in the process. It has truly made managing evaluations so much easier and more organized!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenges I experienced were with the initial setup. My contacts did not transfer over smoothly into the sheet, which required some extra time to correct. In addition, building the automated emails was a bit confusing at first, since it wasn’t entirely intuitive. Once everything was set up, though, the system worked well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has streamlined how I manage student evaluations with their clinical preceptors. Before, this process was time-consuming, difficult to track, and often lacked confidentiality. Now, I can send evaluations directly to preceptors, receive their responses privately, and keep everything organized in one place. This saves me time, reduces errors, and ensures both students and preceptors have a smooth, professional experience.
SmartSheet Review
What do you like best about the product?
Worked well in helping us track jobs, there progress, and where mistakes were made. It also works well to track excess inventory to get rid of. Since using smartsheets we have been able to determine if the mistake came from purchasing, design, or the warehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can think of is that everything is manually entered. I would love to figure out implementing a barcode system to use with smartsheets and our inventory
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us accureatly track jobs, with project managers, sales, and design all being constantly updated on the progress of the warehouse as well as the progress of materials that are on back order.
A Convenient Tool for Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheet to manage my work, and I find it very convenient. One feature I really like is the ability to attach files directly to the sheet, which makes sharing documents simple and organized. Another great feature is the automatic alert system – I can set it up to receive email notifications whenever someone updates information on the sheet, helping me keep track of changes in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven’t encountered any difficulties using Smartsheet, and it has made managing my tasks much easier.
