What do you like best about the product?
Automations and time savings. The ability to make some processes consistent throughout the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does appear to take some time for recommendations from the user base to be considered or implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to automate a number of processes for the organization for better communication. It has a robust project management system that is just customizable enough that I can tweak it to fit almost any project we run. I have been able to create dashboards to share with clients that collet and refine the data into an understandable and useful visual collections of information.

This platform enables everyone to collaborate seamlessly on a project, ensuring that each member can contribute their skills and ideas effectively. It also includes tools for monitoring progress, allowing the team to stay organized and aware of each stage of the project. By providing clear visibility into tasks, deadlines, and overall progress, it helps identify any potential obstacles early on, facilitating proactive adjustments and enhancing teamwork. This fosters a more productive and cohesive work environment, where all contributions are valued and progress is made transparently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find myself feeling frustrated with the ongoing login errors. It often requires multiple attempts before access to my account is achieved, which slows down my progress.
The error messages are confusing, making it difficult to determine if the problem lies with my system or theirs. Attempts to clear the cache and switch browsers have not resolved the issue.
This persistent login problem is seen as a significant downside for a tool that is supposed to assist with organization. A resolution is hoped for soon, as it has a considerable impact on my experience. At this point, a recommendation for Smartsheet cannot be made if reliable access to projects is needed.

Smartsheet is the useful resource
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Smartsheet is flexible & versatile. You can set up workflows to handle approvals and reminders. It plays well with tools like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and allows for team members to hold accountability and be visible to what's on the to-do list. I am in smartsheet daily across multiple forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve to getting used to smartsheet. It also doesn't allow for real-time collaboration within team members.

Manual task tracking, disconnected tools and standardized workflows between other team groups

Flexibility, integration, and control in a single environment where we can manage everything from project management to well-structured internal processes, allows for multiple automations and real-time collaboration that optimize time and tasks.

The cost can be somewhat high depending on the number of users, and integration with other platforms is often paid or requires external development.

Smartsheet allows the creation of simple automated workflows (reminders, notifications, approvals), but it does not support advanced logic or multiple conditions. This limitation forces processes to remain simple and clear, avoiding overly complicated automations that few understand or can maintain. Additionally, it encourages the use of the API or external integrations, which gives more control and customization to those who know how to leverage them.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is clearly designed with quality as a priority. Its user-friendly interface and strong audit capabilities make it especially valuable for those working in regulated industries.

The user interface may not be the most intuitive or up-to-date, but it is still navigable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is excellent for managing documents in accordance with regulations. Additionally, its management of change module makes it easier to control changes and provides a space for all relevant stakeholders to contribute their input.

Smartsheet user interface is intuitive and easy to use. The charts and reports functionality along with workflows make the system powerful for complex project management.

Smartsheet requires licenses for advanced functionality. The base licenses support basic project management without the ability to perform portfolio management.

Managing a large pool of shared resources across hundreds of concurrent active projects.
Effortless Collaboration and Visibility with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet's live document feature, which provides full visibility and enables real-time collaboration with both internal teams and customers. The ability to build dashboards is fantastic, and the flexible access rights are a significant advantage over binary systems like Excel. Grouping tasks under parent tasks and the simplicity of using filters enhance usability. It's user-friendly enough for non-developers to create pages easily, making it accessible for interns to contribute effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be beneficial to have more in-person sessions and meetings. In the past, there were numerous sessions in London where we could meet, present case studies, and learn from peers. While I understand much is done remotely now, having more face-to-face interactions would be great for sharing how we use Smartsheet and learning from others.

I find Smartsheet solves visibility issues with live document sharing and offers flexible access rights, enhancing internal and customer collaboration.
