Stay on top of Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that I can view my tasks as soon as they are assigned to me, and I also like that my coworkers are able to see when I have completed them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating through the different sheets can be a bit challenging. There isn't any support available when you get lost, which makes it more difficult to find your way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in helping our team keep track of tasks that might otherwise slip through the cracks. I appreciate being able to easily identify which team member to approach for support when questions come up. The use of different sheets for tracking and posting also helps me stay organized and focused.
Good Product for Organizing Data
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a powerful tool for managing projects and data, especially when it comes to reporting. I like it for its ability to create complex, customizable reports that pull information from multiple sheets and present it in a clear, actionable way. It makes tracking progress, consolidating data, and sharing updates with stakeholders much easier and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The primary disadvantage of Smartsheet is that building formulas can be challenging and feels less intuitive compared to other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the ability to create detailed checklists, as well as the option to build an entire portal. This combination makes the experience both flexible and powerful for organizing my work.
I enjoy using smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of it compared to MS project - smartsheet is far easier to use and understand as a part time project manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that my password and login is not saved, and that the system kicks me out all the time if I am not using it. The login process is too long on my system - I have to enter my email (and the field doesn't save so I have to type it in each time), wait for an email to be sent to me with a code, and then enter the code.
I also don't like that when I import excel sheets containing formulas, the formulas don't come across despite me asking the system to import the formulas. I also don't like that in the same exercise I then have to go in and re-designate a date column as a date column from a text column - why can't smartsheet see that this is a date column.

It is helping us track timelines between us and our vendors
Experience has gone downhill
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is great for collaborating across many people in real-time. The ability to customize dashboards and reports is great, athough until you have quite a bit of experience with it it's clunky to figure out how to best utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few years ago we had a spectacular account manager who was very attentive to our needs and very active in helping us get the most of our solution but that service/support is now basically completely non-existent. We recently did a large build-out of a control center environment and it was a painful process, and one where we are left with something that still doesn't meet our needs. On top of that, the recent change in service and contracting structure no longer meets our needs. This tool takes a lot of manual effort for us to manage and without a better level of support its no longer worth our time and effor to invest in and we are seeking out alternative options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Budget management, marketing project timeline management; currently not a major benefit and could be doing the same with an excel file
Rigorous start but worthwhile

The automation tools and "ease of use" were once picked up.

The constant minutiae and maintenance of changes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Approval workflows and establishing delegation of authority across various departments. Creating a log of all our requests allows us to audit and drill down into the data.
Smartsheet is an amazing project management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is straightforward to use and easy to get accustomed to, especially since I have experience with Excel, Monday, and Project. I really appreciate the dashboards—they make it simple to provide high-level updates to leadership. I rely on Smartsheet frequently to track the progress of our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the formulas can sometimes be difficult to program. Additionally, I believe that all types of sheets should be able to feed directly into the dashboard, but it seems that only reports can do this, which makes things more challenging.

Smartsheet is helping me keep track of all the moving parts in the project, making it easier to see where everything stands. It also allows me to provide high-level updates and escalate major issues to upper management when necessary.
Smartsheet is the automation we need!
What do you like best about the product?
There are countless ways to use Smartsheet to help automate processes and keep everything organized, making it suitable for all types of teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there are any downsides or things I dislike. One minor annoyance is you cannot copy and paste to other sheets.

Automation! That is the biggest thing. Smartsheet really and truly helps us save countless hours.
Organized and Productive
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how user-friendly Smartsheet is—it makes it easy to organize projects, track progress, and collaborate with my team in real time. The flexibility to customize sheets and automate workflows saves a lot of time, and everything stays transparent so nothing falls through the cracks. It’s a great balance between a spreadsheet and a project management tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, Smartsheet can feel a little overwhelming because of the number of features, and it takes some effort to learn all the capabilities. Some advanced functions aren’t as intuitive, and reports or dashboards can take extra setup time. It would be nice if certain tools were a bit more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us streamline form submissions by capturing all responses in one centralized place. Instead of sorting through emails or scattered spreadsheets, the data flows directly into a sheet where it can be organized, tracked, and assigned. This not only saves time and reduces errors but also improves collaboration across the team. Everyone can see updates in real time, which keeps communication clear and ensures that nothing slips through the cracks. Overall, it’s made our process much more efficient and transparent.
Very easy to use and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Forms and feedback are fantastic on Smartsheet, we use them for requests from our sales team, they come straight into our inbox completely automated and once we click a button to say this request has been despatched, the sales manager gets an email for confirmation. Absolutely seamless. We use Smartsheets every single day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really cannot think of anything that i dislike about Smartsheet, it does all we want it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many projects on the go all the time, which are being dealt with by a variety of people. Each person can view what is going on, where the project is currently at and what it is neede.
The automation to share information & store it has helped tremendously with our year end audits
