Smartsheet: My Go-To for Complex Projects
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how flexible it is for complex processes. I can build dashboards, automate approvals, and manage large sets of data without needing advanced coding skills. It’s easy to customize for different teams, and I love that I can keep everything—from project timelines to executive-level reporting—in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet isn’t always as flexible as I’d like. For example, dashboards don’t carry themes across workspaces, so I have to rebuild formatting. Visualizations can get cluttered with large data sets, and integrations like Power BI don’t always update as smoothly as I’d expect. It works well for many things, but there are still limitations that make some tasks harder than they should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us manage complex processes that used to be scattered across emails and spreadsheets. It centralizes large amounts of data, makes approvals more transparent, and allows me to build dashboards that give leadership clear visibility. Automations cut down on manual follow-ups, and having everything in one place saves time and reduces errors. The biggest benefit is that it keeps projects moving forward smoothly while giving us reliable data to make decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Smartsheet because it is very user-friendly and easy to use. The setup was straightforward, especially for someone with experience in Excel. I appreciate its functionality, like creating Gantt charts, which provide a clear timeline of projects. The ability to customize columns for dates or numerals is very useful. I love how I can share information easily with team members, giving them visibility into what I'm working on. It's also beneficial as a repository for storing and sharing information. Overall, Smartsheet's ease of use and flexibility have spoiled me, and I can't imagine switching to a less user-friendly tool.

I use Smartsheet to track projects, manage tasks, and share information with my team, benefiting from its user-friendly interface and features like Gantt charts, which enhance team visibility and collaboration.
Very sufficient,easy to navigate and when assisting clients, the sheets are not buffering or lagging

the access is effortless and the content and set up to navigate the sheet is easy for my day to day tasks. we often use sheets to schedule our daily tasks

A simple way to survey
What do you like best about the product?
I think the UI is very easy to use. Additionally, the surveys seem pretty easy to create. The information is presented in a clear way that makes it easy to gather the information you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the surveys I've filled out, sometimes the options can be long, and I need to scroll both horizontal and vertical. This has only been a minor issue when using a smart phone. Also, it would be nice if the survey would take you directly to required sections you didn't fill out, instead of needing to search through the form. Honestly, these are very minor issues, and they may have even been user error on my part.

It allows me to take and conduct surveys for research projects I engage in at my school.

I like Smartsheet because it blends a familiar spreadsheet layout with powerful project-management features, making it easy to start while supporting complex workflows. Real-time collaboration stands out—team members can edit, comment, and share files simultaneously without version issues. Automation helps by sending reminders and updating statuses, reducing manual tasks and missed deadlines. Dashboards and reports provide quick, visual insights for managers and clients, while integrations with tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google Workspace keep everything connected. Strong security controls and a reliable mobile app add to its appeal. Overall, Smartsheet offers flexibility, efficiency, and seamless teamwork in one platform.

While Smartsheet is powerful, it can feel pricey for smaller teams, and some advanced features—like complex formulas or resource management—have a learning curve. Large sheets may slow down, and occasional interface clutter can make navigation less intuitive for new users.

Smartsheet centralizes project management, replacing scattered spreadsheets and emails with one collaborative workspace. Real-time updates, automation, and dashboards streamline tracking, approvals, and reporting. Integrations with tools like Teams and Salesforce keep data connected. This saves time, reduces errors, and improves communication, helping me stay organized and make faster, more informed decisions.

The real time updates from everyone on the sheet, comments section, image submission is also a great tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Horizontally, the entire sheet does not fit on the screen. Often, I have to scroll over from one side to other, which adds an extra step in working and presenting. Makes the process clumsy because the bar to scroll does not always pop up.

SmartSheet bridges the gap between departments, proving to be extremely beneficial in a large company.
Great for Automizing your work
What do you like best about the product?
Makes our end of day reports a breeze once all the information is inputted, multiple users can work simultaneously and having a cell history helps. Being able to set up notification emails for items that were entered or deleted incorreclty gives you a peace of midn. Great for analytical/logical type business platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of formatting options makes it harder to visualize, we had to get a 3rd party to provide add ons such as printing and exporting capabilities since smartsheet versions or lack thereof were completely inadequate for our business.
