Smartsheet has been extremely helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has helped our team work more efficiently. It keeps us all organized and on the same page. It is very easy to use. One of our favorite things about it is that it can be used by multiple people simultaneously. We also have automated reminders set that are sent weekly to help us stay on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can get a tad complex and hard for some to use. It is not something everyone can just jump into, you'll need training and to be shown how to use it beforehand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is great for problem solving and keeping everything organized with tasks and action items for clients. It is a wonderful tool and we have tracked hundreds of deals on it. It helps us stay on track and not miss any deadlines.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a collaborative tool and resource to track and maintain project information.
You can utilize Gantt chart, set reminders, attach files, photos and emails... it has been a great help.
I found it extremely user-friendly, implementing it into my routine and I enjoy the WBS feature.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have been unable to utilize the delegated tasks feature. I have added two colleagues and it will not allow them access to their designated tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It supports w specific reminders and being able to set multiple within one task.
The recent licensing model changes are very concerning.

A powerful, time-saving tool for collaboration and project management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet provides an incredible amount of functionality while staying easy to use. It allows me to streamline projects, automate repetitive tasks, and consolidate updates in one place, saving hours of manual effort. I especially like the dashboards and reporting features, which give both high-level visibility and the ability to dive into the details when needed. Most importantly, the ability to grant access to the entire team keeps everyone aligned and eliminates confusion about the latest version of a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the flexibility of Smartsheet can feel overwhelming for new users. There is a learning curve when setting up more advanced automations, formulas, or integrations, and the interface can get a little crowded when managing very complex sheets. That said, once you get comfortable, these challenges are outweighed by the value and efficiency the platform provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us solve the challenge of managing multiple projects, teams, and workflows in one centralized platform. Instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets, emails, and status meetings, we can keep everything organized, visible, and up to date. This has reduced miscommunication, improved accountability, and given leadership a clear view of progress in real time. By automating reminders and task updates, it also saves significant time and ensures deadlines are met consistently. The result is greater efficiency, stronger collaboration across teams, and better decision-making supported by accurate, consolidated data.

Transforming Project Delivery to ensure greatest value for investment
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in the transformation of project delivery in my organisation helping us move away from SILO'd project focus and "pet projects" to a fully transparent, ranked list of projects that are organised to ensure we are working on the right things at the right time. By ensuring we have a comprehensive data sheet for all our projects, using forms with mandatory fields to initiate new projects, we can build out meaningful reports and dashboards that contain realtime data, ensuring transparency and visibility across the organisation. Workflow automations ensure the right people are reminded to complete actions at the right time without relying on individuals to manage these tasks. Customers can ask for specific, individual views of their project data to give them the information they need at a glance. Areas of projects that require additional focus can be automatically highlighted and brought to the attention of the relevant owners.
What do you dislike about the product?
The refresh of Smartsheet is the most frustrating element. Being cloud based, there is a small delay in making and saving updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built a scoring matrix into Smartsheet which means each project is given a ranking based on scores relating to the overall goals and strategy of the organisation. By creating a ranked lost of projects, we can share this with our customers and stakeholders so they understand which projects are being worked on, why they are a priority and where projects of specific interest to them are on the ranked list and when they might be worked on. This visibility and transparency reduces a lot of noise from our customers about when they will receive their end product. Smartsheet also allows us to create view specific to individuals; we have built a CIO dashboard where the CIO gets to see a holistic view of all work (projects and BAU) in his team. He can then choose to focus on specific projects of interest and understand where they are in the project lifecycle and where there may be delays or problems that he needs to step in and help remediate. By using templated project plans we ensure that all teams are working to the same standards and processes, ensuring consistent reporting. By embedding other project artefacts, such as budgeting sheets, Charters, RAID, etc., we can easily use existing, live data when projects pass through specific gates and this information is automatically carried forward through the phases. Dashboards have also eliminated the need for 'project decks' to be created for all steering and project boards.
Good project tracker that is highly customisable

It links together with externa; documents well.

It's slightly clunky and i prefer a more intuitive/basic UI, with buttons and icons rather than spreadsheets.

Having all the information to hand. It allows me to know what tasks are outstanding.

Although the platform is highly effective overall, its visualization tools could be improved. Enhancing the charting and visual representation features would make data analysis and project tracking more intuitive and insightful for users.

This results in time savings, reduced errors, and contributes to projects progressing in a more organized and efficient manner.

One limitation of Smartsheet is its steep learning curve for new users, especially when configuring advanced workflows or formulas. Additionally, reporting capabilities can feel limited compared to more robust BI tools, and performance may lag with very large sheets specially frequent crashes in Windows App.
