Usually reliable and useful

What do you like best about the product?
When it's working as expected, 1Password is fantastic. There's a great add-on so you can auto-fill your passwords into sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
We often encountered problems with our 1Password account syncing to all of the computers. When someone would leave the company, our admin would have to change all our access passwords, so whenever these would not auto-sync to the account, there were numerous problems with accessing services.
It's also quite a hard process to set up. After leaving my last company, I tried to set it up at my new company and it was so complicated that I gave up after a couple of hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing to keep our digital accounts secure. In the past, there has been sharing of passwords on slack, email, on paper, in all kinds of ways, and it's not scalable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As long as you have a dedicated person managing 1Password then everything should be fine. As a user, rather than an admin, I liked that I had someone to talk to when it was regularly breaking for me. I would have long given up on it if we had not had a point person.
As a large company, the price is reasonable, but for a solo person or tiny startup, the price is quite considerable.

A Solid Password Manager - Room For Upgrades

  • October 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With a single account, you can sync it across all your windows/android/iOS devices and create multiple vaults that can be separated out by identity if you have more than 1 login for for the same website or want to keep some passwords separate from the other. Love the ease in getting all accounts organized including having an option to have a local vault that isn’t synced across all devices
What do you dislike about the product?
Speaking of their synchronizing, I’ve had many instances where the app didn’t push through updates. It’s not fun to have happe when you don’t have access to the other devices and 1Password hasn’t synced yet. They also don’t make it very easy to update the passwords if you’re someone who doesn’t like integrated autologins straight into your browser and it even less impressive with app password captures. Finally, I’m still unclear what watch tower does. I understand the functions but I still don’t think it does as much as it claims. When you could first sync with using it instead o iOS keychain, it was a MESS to say the least but they’ve since fixed it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like testing products out to see how valuable and consumer focused they can be since I recommend these out often and use myself as a dummy test pilot. But like one that actually uses the service. All tea, all shade. Perhaps my technical knowledge isn’t as great to comment on it’s security capabilities over similarly tier services but I know that it helps with not using the same password across multiple accounts and you can run an audit to make sure you’re not leaving anything undone like using 2 factor or updating regularly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I’m currently comparing this with RoboForm since I have the business level account with hem but may be too bulky for my current needs. I think if you yourself just need to separate out passwords and have a decent, affordable password manager that works on many OSs, it’s a great option. Works just as well if not better than LastPass, Dashlane, etc. RoboForm is pretty reliable too but a bit too big in its scope for just me;

My life is now much easier, and they are guarding my secrets

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, how it syncs all my passwords independently on operating system. And those guys care about security so. I am happy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, it used to be one time fee, now it is subscription, but you get some cool features, like special things for crossing border without your data. It is interesting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily share passwords with the right circle of people. I do not have to care about small group of people, and they can even be distributed in few separate vaults.

1 password to rule them all

  • August 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You don't know that you need 1Password until you start to use it. I can say that my life changed because of 1password. Forger about you remembering passwords, credit cards, etc. I used it in my office, and it works great, but also for my day-to-day applications. You can use it on different devices, like your iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a couple of time that I don't get the login information but only the password, you can later fix this and is not as hard as it should. Some people say that is overpriced, but I think your secure your information should be more critical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- I don't have to remember all my password
- I now feel that my information is more secured because of this
- I can share credentials with other teammates in my organization; you can even make groups for this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start using it, and you will not stop. It is hard when you have many accounts with different passwords, and periodically asking you to change your password can be a pain.

Handy!

What do you like best about the product?
1Password is easily accessible with no complications.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a super simple program, so there really isn't anything to dislike as they didn't have a chance to screw it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I all have access to 1Password, which allows us to login and interact with multiple sites without have to repeatedly search for their codes
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! It will help you in the long run keep track of everything you use.

A decent option for cross-OS password support

  • August 01, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used 1Password for both personal use and professional use. From a professional standpoint, I enjoyed having the ability to have passwords accessible to everyone on my team through shared folders. From a personal standpoint, I am fairly
"tech-agnostic" and use a bunch of different operating systems across all my devices. 1Password gives me a way to have all of my passwords synced on all of my competing devices.

I also like the seamlessness of its integration with iOS. 1Pass is easy to pull up in web forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit clunky when moving passwords from one place to another. I often have to just create a new entry. The UI hasn't been upgraded a whole ton over the course of its history, but it's still nice.

I have concerns about its security just from past events. Overall I try to use something different than 1Password, but it is a good option. I think if you're looking for something thats established, looks/works decent, has cross-platform functionality, and enterprise support, then you'd be happy with 1Password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I originally used 1Password at a small company and it helped them keep track of logins and no longer have an excuse to write them down insecurely or keep them in their apple keychain. It was the most affordable option at a couple different organizations I have worked for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to get all of your passwords entered initially so you don't have to keep going back, one-at-a-time

Not a sticky note

  • July 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it will create a password for me for each login-and that it will prefill if I choose to.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t a feature that I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This gives the security of truly having unique and difficult passwords for everything and not having a sticky note on your desk to try to remember them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you aren’t using a password program you’re working too hard to remember your passwords! Before I used this at work my IT husband made me get it for personal use. I love it.
