Tokbox is easier than straight webRTC but still needs sr engineers to setup and maintain
What do you like best about the product?
webRTC is in a phase of rapid development and for those not able / interested to have to chase the latest greatest development, Tokbox can do that for you for a price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tokbox still very much requires senior engineers to build out and maintain a video conferencing solution. The documentation might lead you to think any JS engineer could do this project and it's true that a it's not hard to get to a working prototype, however there is still plenty of nuance that people with webRTC as a skill are able to get through that a regular JS engineer cannot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit is that Tokbox keeps up with webRTC development so you don't have to. Just keep your Tokbox implementation fresh.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Solve the problem of users not being able to connect. The network test is a diagnostic only; not a solution for the user to fix their bandwidth, webcam, mic, or speakers.

Nice video service experience
What do you like best about the product?
Nexmo(Tokbox) has great video API's for live streaming or recording sessions. It has easy to use API's and debug tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing packages are complicated for advanced features and cannot be purchased seperately some of advanced addons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Nexmo(Tokbox) for all of our video streaming and video recording applications, it really helps to complete these tasks without maintaining a seperate infrastructre for this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nice video APIs and easy to use. But you should check pricing packages and required addons carefully before purchasing, they may be not included in your package and not available for seperate purchasing.

We've not had any issues with Nexmo.. the APIs work great and without incident.

Until recently, I have never heard from anyone at Nexmo. That has changed because someone reached out to me.

What do you like best about the product?
It's APIs are easy to use and set up. Low fees. Your own texting phone number for a low monthly fee. Logs for troubleshooting. Nexmo also offers voice messaging and other services. We only use the texting / SMS feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is an issue not about Nexmo itself but rather the mobile companies: There is a daily limit on how many messages you can send out per phone number. If you exceed this limit, then phone companies could block your number and you wouldn't be able to send out any messages! The limit seems to be 100 text messages per day, with some people suggesting it is less. This means you need to track how many messages you are sending out, and if it is more, you need to add new phone numbers and rotate the sending.

We are using the service with .NET cloud applications and also with desktop database applications.

Their pricing is a little on the high side

The response time to the API is super also the alternative IVR for which SMS is not getting through.

Nothing in the system, Only the price changes are frequent.
