Good/cheap service which takes forever to fix it when its broken. Works well when it works.
What do you like best about the product?
Good pricing and coverage. Good API. Improvements in their website which makes it a bit more usable than it was couple of months ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support takes forever to fix any issues. (numbers out of service). Sometimes it takes over 4 months. Numbers are pulled out of service for various countries without very comprehensive explanations as to what was wrong/what the reason was /etc - so you'll have to figure it out, inquire with support, follow up on the issue until you get a better answer.
Website has improved a lot but still lacks a better search for phone numbers . Editing a lot of phone numbers is horrendous and you're better off wasting the time to implement that edit via API instead of doing it via their website.
They charge in EUR currency, but the pricing on the website is in USD (might be different for Europe, i guess?) so that's a problem when you have to account for the exchange rate, etc.

Coverage in countries where i would otherwise not have access to. Some cost savings here and there.

The SMS service is by far the easiest to use, simple API tools available, and priced very reasonably.
Documentation is complete, and they provide (nearly) everything you need to be fully self-managed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Recently, they've announced they will be charging to receive messages, not just renting virtual phone numbers and sending messages. To me that seems like double-dipping. The built in dashboard doesn't expose all the features the API allows, so you have to write your own for full access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending SMS alerts used to be handled in house by connected devices which were unreliable and expensive to replace. Nexmo has taken a big headache away from the operations team, so much so that we hardly even think about the impact of sending thousands of SMS messages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a simple SMS service, this should be your only choice.

Affordable. Was fairly simple to set up.

Not in US Dollars. Would like it to be easier to chat with support when it is needed

Nexmo is the company that Acowin has you sign up with in order to text through their software. Appreciate that this is an affordable program.
easy and reliable SMS provider
What do you like best about the product?
The easy to use API and the speed at which outages are reported.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the billing is done. I never know when it will be refilled. I would rather have a monthly bill due.

We use SMS as our emergency pager notifications for system outages.

Everything has been good so far in general. Wish there was support for MMS messaging but I know this is on the roadmap

Appointment reminders. Benefits have been to offer this at a reasonable cost with good delivery rates

Service works great. Support is sometimes a little slow but usually finds a solution to any issues we encounter.

Support is sometimes a little slow for non premium members.

Nexmo is a good product with good support and good pricing. It has been a reliable technology for our business.
