Slow turnaround time, more self service than seeking to optimize

What do you like best about the product?
The custom routing that Nexmo can do helps to quickly transition routes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform requires tuning and applications for various phone numbers to ensure the high quality of delivery. I would rather have a hands off platform. In other scenarios, customer success can be slow to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
2FA through voip and SMS. It usually sends messages fine.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a global company be prepared to do a lot of the integration work yourself.

What do you like best about the product?
My experience is a great support that they provided me when I was testing some Microsoft flow and they supported me very well till my testing ended successfully.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is okay until now and working for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For Microsoft Flow, it is using as a action and worked well for me.

It's very good and working very well.

Like the service, only pros, without any cons

Using Vonage SMS API services for clients verification, very stable work!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the API and tools for different languages are very simple and easy to use and develop with.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main problem came with the status callbacks. Managing multiple SMS messages was a little bit of a nightmare because we were getting them without any meta data to recognize the order and the timestamps weren't correct. We didn't had that problem with Twilio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can have a great platform with multiple numbers assigned to our team and being able to manage them properly via the API is a great plus.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try buying phone numbers with the API, the experience is great

I can use the api to intergrate my services

Capped limits to top up credit should be removed

I am able to communicate with my customers to tell them when there machines are completed and ready to be picked up

Contact them if you need to lower the top credit amount

What do you like best about the product?
Vonage makes it really easy to get up and running. I like the ruby gem that makes working with the API that much simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I get delivery confirmations even for messages that are not actually delivered. I believe this is a Telco issue per country.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving multi factor authentication and having password less services. We decrease support needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The API is very well designed and easy to integrate with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Phone numbers are completely lost if they can't be renewed. Learned that the hard way. Not a huge issue though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're adding 2FA to our application which would have been a pain to write ourselves. Got a huge benefit with reasonable cost

Easy to use once setup, good customer service

What do you like best about the product?
The low cost of use and setup has been very helpful and almost a necessity during the challenging budgetary time of the COVID-19 pandemic. We use Vonage as our voice provider with the 3CX cloud pbx and pay far less than we would for traditional phone lines with multiple extensions
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint thus far once we were setup was that it was a somewhat tedious process to get auto-reload for payments turned on for our account. That seemed like it should be a default setting and it took a multiple email interaction with customer service to achieve. The phone service just stopped working for us when we got too low on funds because we didn't monitor our balance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Low cost of VOIP has been easily the largest benefit for us.

Just Migrated to Vonage/Nexmo - Could not be more happier

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean and easy to navigate, there are heaps of documentation that you can use to create your application and then, use their API. Sandbox testing is great!! Also, I have used their support desk and the responses have been fast and helpful. Analytics are also great. Troubleshooting is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see them provide a billing interface in USD so you know exactly what you are paying. At the moment it is in Euro
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
International SMS delivery. I can order numbers from any country with a few clicks and be up and running easily. Having numbers in my target country vastly improve deliverability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use them. Heaps of documentation and competitive pricing. API is easy to use

Flexible communications platform

What do you like best about the product?
The incredible amount of flexibility the platform offers and how reliable it is. The pricing for the conversation API is also better than every competitor I scouted.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a pretty steep learning curve and some documentation was spread out over multiple sources, so it was a little messy to get started with. You might need to spend a good amount of time on getting familiar with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We created a chat functionality for users on our platform and couldn't have done it at that price and effort in any other way. Competitors were really expensive and missing some of the flexibility that Vonage offered. Being a bootstrapped founder, this was the ideal solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are a few really helpful guides (not the API documentation), that go through setting up different kinds of services based on the Vonage APIs. They were really helpful in getting a feeling for what can be achieved using them. Take a look at them if you're unsure if Vonage offers an API suitable for your use case.
