Effortless File Security and Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I use Egnyte for secure cloud document storage and sharing, and I really appreciate its ease of use both online and on my laptop file explorer. I like the ability to share documents with my team globally, and I feel confident about the security features it offers. The initial setup was easy as well.

Co-editing only available online

Egnyte Makes Remote File Sharing and Collaboration Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Everything - we work in an all-remote set up and so sharing files for colaborative working is of upmost importance and Egnyte allows for this
What do you dislike about the product?
I use this to share files and folders with limited accessibilty and, so far, have no complains.

Efficient File Management with Minor Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I use Egnyte in our engineering firm to manage large files across multiple offices. It allows us to access large CAD files along with other documents on the go without manual uploads, downloads, and conflicting copies. I like that it provides co-editing on supported documents like Microsoft Office files. Egnyte reduces the need to manage the logistical backend of file management, and being able to map the drives in the normal fashion Windows does makes file access simpler. The mobile app is beneficial because it hosts file readers for CAD files, which is great for discussing project details with clients on the go. Mapping drives also helps us operate normally, speeding up work efficiency. The integration with Microsoft backend for login and security access is useful as it reduces the need for another password for users. Our transition to Egnyte was smooth, thanks to the great support during the downloading and uploading of large data volumes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Leaving files open on a machine when it goes to sleep can cause Egnyte to disconnect and lose access to the files. This means that a local copy of the file may be cached and re-open as read-only then it needs to be reloaded. While reliability has been okay, it can become a bit slow from time to time. There are confusing pop up messages about checking out files or co-editing that not everyone understands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte lets us access large CAD files on the go without manual uploads, enabling co-editing. Mapping drives speeds up work by operating normally without separate networks. The mobile app allows access to CAD files for client discussions on the go.

Very Easy to Use—Signature Feature Makes Closing Contracts Fast
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use overall. The Signature feature is especially handy when I need to close a contract quickly.

I cannot think of anything off the bat. Great tool.

Egnyte has consolidated our file sharing and accessibility both onsite and remotely, eliminating the need for a VPN and offering granular control of permissions.
Effortless Software Updates, Minimizes IT Dependency
What do you like best about the product?
I like Egnyte because it's easy to update software, which makes my tasks faster and reduces my dependence on IT. We use it for everything, including cloud file storage. I really appreciate these features, and they make Egnyte valuable to me.

I'd like it if using Egnyte required less dependency on IT, especially when updating software.

Egnyte makes software updates easier and consistent for all, reducing my dependency on IT and speeding up my tasks.

Ideal Balance of Security and Usability with Strong Governance
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this platform is that it has a stable balance between security and usability. I also like how it combines cloud storage with the strong governance features, along with the controls, compliance support and audit trails. It is also very useful to deal with sensitive data and to collaborate will the cross-functional and external teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their interface is a bit less intuitive when compared with similar platforms in this space, like Google Drive and Dropbox. And the pricing is also a bit higher compared to the other tools and platforms in this space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte solves the problem of managing secure file sharing and having centralised data control, specifically across the distributed cross-functional teams. It also ensures that our centralised files are accessible while still maintaining strict rules and conditions. This platform helps us to comply with compliance and still maintain operational efficiency.
Drag-and-Drop Ease, But Slow File Search Holds It Back

Drag and drop feature is easy to use!!!!

The file search is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy slower than drop box
