What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Egnyte is that it keeps everything in one place and makes it easy to stay organized without slowing us down. It’s simple to find the right file fast, share it securely with the right people, and control access so we’re not worried about the wrong version floating around or sensitive documents ending up in the wrong hands. The permissions and link-sharing options give a lot of peace of mind, and it works smoothly whether I’m in the office or remote. Overall, it helps us stay consistent, compliant, and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Egnyte is that it can feel a little clunky and slower than it should at times—especially when you’re dealing with large folders, lots of files, or syncing. The desktop sync can be confusing (and it’s not always obvious what’s truly synced vs. just online), which can create version issues if someone isn’t careful. Search is usually decent, but it’s not always consistent, and permissions can get complicated to manage as the folder structure grows. It’s a solid system overall, but it could be more intuitive and faster day-to-day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is solving the problem of having files scattered across emails, desktops, and shared drives by giving us one secure, centralized place to store and manage everything. It makes it easy to control who has access to what, share documents with staff or outside partners without sending attachments, and keep everyone working from the same current version.
That benefits me because it reduces time spent hunting for files, lowers the risk of using the wrong version, and gives more peace of mind around security and compliance—especially with sensitive documents. It also makes collaboration smoother since I can access what I need from anywhere and know the right people can get to it without back-and-forth.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the main advantages is being able to share all documents on a single platform that both remote and in-office employees can access and edit. Additionally, the convenience of saving documents directly in Egnyte, without the extra step of saving and then uploading, is another significant benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, I can't say that I have any complaints about Egnyte. I've been using it for the past few months and so far, everything has met my expectations.

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone can access files everywhere. Very good permissions settings even file based permissions. Collaboration is very easy and without problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using Egnyte for more than 9 years, there is nothing I dislike yet.

I have a construction firm with a few projects running at different sites, it helps me manage everything smoothly.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Egnyte is able to hold all of our files for current clients and prospective clients, and it is very detailed but easy to send links for clients. I can easily find my files, and I can easily share links with my clients and prospects. The initial setup was easy, and it wasn't difficult to train all of our people on.

It seems as though there are many aspects to Egnyte that I do not have access to or our firm has not tried to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte provides easy access for prospects and clients, and it effectively holds files for both current and prospective clients. It's detailed, yet simplifies the process of sending links.

not effective when multiple people need to work on the same file at the same time (excel for example)

Seamless File Management with Robust Security
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Egnyte is the control over file management and the security of the data. I really appreciate the ability to share files easily, both internally and externally. The initial setup process was pretty easy, helped along by the Egnyte team, who meet with you weekly to guide you through the process, help you learn the system, and get it set up, including doing training for staff and migrating the files. The staff is all amazing and helpful. I feel very valued as a customer.

I haven't found anything to dislike about Egnyte.

Egnyte improves file sharing by providing control over file management and data security. It resolves previous issues with sharing files that couldn't be opened, allowing easy internal and external sharing.
Secure, Reliable Access for Hybrid Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Egnyte serves as our virtual drive. It allows access to our entire database from anywhere, which is crucial since we work in a hybrid office environment. It's easy to use and provides a secure way for us to share and receive documents with clients. Egnyte's redundancy is invaluable as it allows us to work uninterrupted during local server outages or problems with our technology provider. I appreciate how Egnyte operates smoothly between my desktop at work, my laptop at home, and my phone when I'm on the go. It's also been incredibly reliable, so much so that we haven't needed to access our local server once since adopting it.
What do you dislike about the product?
This last update has moved the menu to an unfamiliar location and it has been hard for us to find the actions we normally use, such as sending secure upload links for secure client document sharing. Perhaps you already provide this, but if we could have a chat box where we can ask things like 'Where can I find the Secure Upload link icon?' that would be helpful.

Egnyte lets our team securely access our database from anywhere, which is crucial for our hybrid office. It gives us redundancy during server issues and simplifies document sharing with clients.
.EML file should be set to be accepted by default within settings.

it works every time. Unlike google or dropbox your software doesn't glitch out and stop unplaoding files

the new ms outlook saves emails in a .eml file. By default this file format is not allowed by your sfotware for upload. IT was an easy fix once I figured it out but took a bit to figure out

I like how Egnyte makes accessing and sharing documents seamless with my peers and subcontractors. It efficiently handles sharing documents with large file sizes quickly. The ease of accessing files on a local server or over the internet is very convenient, and the sharing function works well. I also enjoy being able to see when shared links are accessed, allowing me to ensure that subcontractors view documents ahead of time and meet deadlines. Egnyte simplifies collaboration with my peers, making it really easy. I appreciate the initial setup, as it was quite simple—just logging in made it functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I first log in to my computer, it takes a couple of minutes for the drive to be accessible. Sometimes file names are too long, but after a simple rename, it's usually fixed.

Egnyte lets me access and share large files efficiently with peers and subcontractors, ensuring they view documents on time, which helps meet deadlines. It eliminates the need for read receipts by tracking when links are accessed.
