Simpler than Sharepoint...
What do you like best about the product?
I find it easier to assist users with account management. The simplicity of setting up a new user account or making changes makes my work flow a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints as an administrator at this time. Most of the problems I have encountered within Egnyte are due to user error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File sharing and management for users in the company is simple. Instead of having to fiddle with the desktop software, like most other cloud file providers, we simply sign into Egnyte Desktop app and connect the drives that are needed. This saves so much time in my day to day. I do not have to restart an app, or a computer, just to get the files to work properly, they just work!

While Egnyte offers a strong and secure platform for managing controlled documents, there are a few areas that could be improved. The user interface can sometimes feel unintuitive, especially when navigating between folders or managing access permissions.

Egnyte provides a centralized and secure platform for storing, sharing, and managing controlled documents. It helps maintain data integrity and version control, ensuring that teams are always working on the most up-to-date files. The platform’s granular permission settings support compliance by allowing only authorized users to access specific folders or documents.
For my work, Egnyte simplifies collaboration between QA, Clinical, and IT teams during document migrations and reviews. It streamlines the process of tracking revisions, collecting approvals, and maintaining an audit trail — all of which are essential for regulatory documentation. The ability to access files from anywhere and integrate with other enterprise tools also enhances overall efficiency and reduces manual effort.

The mobile app is not a easy as the web UI.

We have customers on multiple platforms. Egnyte allows sharing without a focus on the OS.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is the best storage solution tool on the market for collaboration, security, and content lifecycle management of company data. They have great offerings in their software to handle any data situation and even better support to help if you run into any issues along the way. I would recommend Egnyte to any business looking for a cloud data storage solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downfall to Egnyte is they isn't much ability to do bulk actions on Egnyte without being a developer and use of their API keys. I wish they had more built-in or native features to do bulk actions on Egnyte. Also, I wish they allowed you to get more custom with the user permission roles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte allows our business to store all our data in a central location and allows users to collaborate with that data simultaneously, reliability, and securely. From an admin standpoint, it allows us to monitor appropriately and control the data however we see fit.

Best Cloud Storage Ever
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is intuitive and that makes it easy to use. I also like how multiple versions of the file are kept. Files are also backed up in multiple locations. You would have to work really hard to completely lose track of a file. Egnyte integrates perfectly into MSO file manager. It feels just like a local network drive. The phone app is awesome as well. We use the product all day long. File sharing in MS Office (Excel /Word etc) is so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte is just a little pricy compared to other options. However, the product is far superior to other cloud storage options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of sharing MSO files. Multiple backups and versions.
Easy to set up, easy to use, a lot of useful features beyond just data
What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative features make the data very accessible and useful to a team. It is much easier to administer compared to Microsoft tools. Implementation went smoother than expected. Customer support is response when needed. The available of 3 access points (desktop, web, mobile) makes info always accessible. We have Egnyte integrated to Procore. Most of our company uses Egnyte every day, I don't want to ever use SharePoint again.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have run into occasional update issues with Microsoft, so it is best to enable auto update for the desktop app. We had some growing pains with co-edit when we allowed users to either choose single editor/lock mode or co-edit mode. Since we forced co-edit all the time, these have gone away. The co-edit features will be more seamless if you enable single sign on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The desktop app gives users easy access to all data in a familiar Windows File Explorer format. Ease of administration and permissions, very simple and secure. We don't need additional training and admin resources to manage SharePoint/OneDrive. We are using Copilot and are happy with the instant access to our data within our secure domain, and that the AI honors our permissions.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte makes it easy to securely store, access, and share files. The platform is user-friendly, integrates well with other tools, and the permission controls give me confidence when working with sensitive information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Syncing large files can be slow at times, and the desktop app can use a lot of resources. Some advanced features take time to learn, and the cost may be high for smaller teams.

Egnyte provides a secure way to store and share sensitive files while keeping everything organized in one place. It makes collaboration easier, reduces duplicate versions, and saves time finding documents.
