Great value, amazing service, friendly staff
What do you like best about the product?
Our engineering firm shopped around for live file storage solutions that suited our needs, and were disappointed to find that either they didn't completely fit our use case, or were far too expensive for the services offered. When we were recommended Egnyte, we immediately liked their flexible plans, reasonable price, and useful built-in tools. The staff were very helpful in finding a solution that fit our needs, and even assisted with our file transfer, which integrated very smoothly with our existing workflow. Our first year with them has been absolutely amazing. Their platform is reliable day after day, does exactly what we need it to do, and the slight hiccups we have had were quickly taken care of by their excellent support staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Do expect to receive marketing emails about new features and plan upgrades. So far none of them have been necessary for our workflow, but I do appreciate receiving a heads up about their new offerings, in case one piques our interest in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to multiple remote workers currently working for our company, including one in Asia, we were struggling to find high-bandwidth solutions that benefited our entire workforce. It was even harder finding one that kept AutoCAD DWG locks functional, as overwriting work done by another was a high concern for us.
Not only has Egnyte reliably and consistently locked open documents, but all of our users experience very high transfer speeds no matter where they are at. Add in the flexibility of how you can access our files across multiple devices, and Egnyte has fulfilled many key requirements of our workflow

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte does a great job governing our data in the cloud. It is easy to use and implement. Their migration team did a fantastic job of ensuring all our data was uploaded and ready to use once we officially changed over from our local server to Egnyte. The desktop interface is easy to use, and their service offerings helped us consolidate other services we were using into one place (such as Dropbox, Hightail, and Log-Me-In). They have options to co-edit O365 files, which is fantastic. And sharing files out of office is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte has some growing to do still. We've found that it doesn't always handle file locks as anticipated and intense O365 file sharing (such as a large data heavy Excel file) isn't handled quite as seamlessly as it is in SharePoint. One other disappointment is that you can't run exe files that are stored in Egnyte. We're told that this is for security purposes which makes sense, but it really hampers our ability to push out software deployments, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Along with Egnyte, we've been issuing laptops and now Egnyte allows our staff to work from anywhere as if they are in the office so long as they have access to internet. Sharing and collaborating on files is also a key benefit we gain though Egnyte.
Easy to use for both internal team & external clients
What do you like best about the product?
Securely share & save documents that multiple teams can access. I like different tiers of administration that can be set. Used every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it freezes my computer or is slow to load when first starting up my laptop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A secure folder to share files externally via the SecureShare and i like how we can set a time limit on that external link to turn off.
An excellent company to partner with for all of your needs.

The ability to get help when i need it, there's always a tech or representative to step up and help.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features that are not as easy to use as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File security and recovery. We were recently hacked and lost all of our data that was stored onsite, however because of Egnyte all of our projects were recovered and accessible within a few hours.

seamless interface. easy , Fast and convenient. Tech support is proactive , fast and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing. Egnyte is the best option for remote access and back up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
in lieu of having a remote server, it has solved my firm access to work while on the road.

I like how intuitive and user-friendly it is, letting me get things done quickly without a steep learning curve.

The main downside is that storage can’t be scaled up in small increments, forcing larger upgrades than needed

Egnyte centralizes our file storage and sharing, giving our team secure, remote access to documents while maintaining version control, which has improved collaboration and reduced time lost to locating or duplicating files.
Best Cloud drive experience
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Egnyte is its ease of use—it’s simple and intuitive to upload, organize, and access documents from anywhere. The ease of integration with our workflow makes it effortless to share files and collaborate with coworkers on projects in real time. I also appreciate the ease of implementation, as it was quick to set up and start using without disrupting our daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not encountered a major issue with Egnyte. I do dislike the timeout feature if i leave a document open for too long but it helps me to save my work before logging off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining the use of files and how quickly they are accessed rather than following a link or emailing the document that might be too large of a file to send.
Egnyte performs cloud storage, and now AI services
What do you like best about the product?
We've been onboarded to Egnyte for about 5 months and I can tell you that my CSM and AE are top notch- in my top 2 SaaS provider experiences (maybe #1? we will see!)
Egnyte is also demonstrating intriging AI features that go beyond the typical "CoPilot" bolt ons. I didn't move to Egnyte for their new and upcoming AI functionalities, however I can communicate that we are already incorporating these AI features into our roadmap.

What do you dislike about the product?
Migrating data to Egnyte can be quite a large undertaking, and while their professional services team is extremely knowledgeable and was very available for unscheduled contact, the Egnyte platform can be overwhelming for small teams. It is important, especially, to have a full understanding of the Secure & Govern functionalities. Training on S&G may need to be reinforced with scheduled follow up calls and even several reviews of the individual tenants S&G alerts with a one on one walkthrough on managing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost: Before Egnyte, our file data was fragmented across multiple platforms that were leveraged according to access methods and devices. Egnyte has enabled ALL of our users, regardless of location or device type, to easily access the same dataset.
A streamlined cloud file server solution with intuitive UI and responsive customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte's user interface is very intuitive and while it is easy to use, it also contains robust preferences and settings that allow for unique user roles and privileges. The initial set up process and transition was extremely easy and quick, almost unbelievably so which gave us a massive confidence boost in the product itself. The customer service team was able to answer all the questions we had, technical and otherwise, and assisted in the setup and were continually available throughout implementation and after! Sharing, locking, and co-editing files is easy and works extraordinarily well. If you open a file someone else is in, for instance, a popup appears not only telling you that the file is locked and read-only, but tells you which user is currently working in that file! It was extremely easy to integrate our workflow with the Egnyte system and the additional features that Egnyte has over other cloud server systems was just a cherry on top.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally we have experienced server slowdowns, but this has not happened often and seem to resolve themselves quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte helps solve an issue with concurrence CAD file usage where in previous systems "conflicted copies" were a common occurrence. While conflicted copies can occur with Egnyte, they are very uncommon due to how Egnyte handles file management. Egnyte's integrated Microsoft Office co-editing feature is a massive help for us where we previously had to use another system in addition to the cloud server software to achieve this. Lastly, the ability to quickly recover previous versions of files, lock files, and other quality of life features like being able to create share links directly from the Windows Explorer is a huge plus.

Egnyte is a powerful and versatile platform for secure file storage, sharing, and collaboration. Its hybrid cloud capabilities make it especially valuable for organizations with both on-premise and remote work needs, allowing seamless access to files without sacrificing speed or security. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy for end users to navigate, while IT teams benefit from granular permission controls, robust auditing, and strong compliance features (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Performance is strong for both local and remote access, and integration with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other third-party apps is smooth. Mobile access is also reliable, enabling productivity on the go.

For us, the biggest benefit has been increased efficiency and security—files are organized in one central, well-structured location, so employees spend less time searching for documents and more time focusing on their work. The ability to integrate with our existing tools like Microsoft 365 streamlines workflows, reduces duplication, and makes collaboration seamless.
