Absolutely Love This Software!

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up and managing the platform was straightforward, and the customer support has been excellent. I find it easy to use and understand on a daily basis. Although I may not be a 'typical' JF user since I work in product leadership, I was still able to set up dashboards for myself to monitor deliverables, plan, and generate progress reports. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, and integrating it with our company tools was simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't a complaint, but rather a suggestion for the JF product team. As the head of product operations, I would appreciate the ability to recognize not just engineers in my company who contribute to delivery and success, but also to classify contributors into more than two categories and view their respective metrics. Additionally, I would like to propose offering more customization options for users, such as the ability to apply custom filters and fields to sort data according to our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform provides valuable team metrics, including issue cycle time, issues resolved, sprint predictability, and investment categories. I also appreciate how it tracks the speed of delivery, the quality of planning, and the balance between Growth and BAU initiatives in the backlog. The work in flight section provides insight into the number of deliverables in progress, FTE allocation, team focus, and projected delivery dates, which helps monitor whether teams are prioritizing the right tasks, staying on schedule, and identifying potential risks early in the delivery process. The delivery module is helpful for preparing and reporting to stakeholders about the progress of key company initiatives. Additionally, the scenario planning and capacity planning features are extremely useful for me when planning the team's capacity in advance.

Seeing where my team's time & effort is being allocated help me better understand whether we are focusing on the right priorities or not.

Powerful Productivity Insights, Minor Integration Hiccups

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Jellyfish shows productivity metrics and daily activity. It provides AI usage insights, which are important for our performance. It's useful to get all metrics of tickets, Pull requests, and AI usage details in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I want to fetch all the tasks I worked on, it gives me subtasks and it's difficult to get GitHub pull requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jellyfish to track productivity by providing metrics on tickets, pull requests, and AI usage, which helps to have all details in one place.

Insightful Team Analytics, Minor Navigation Frustrations

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish allows me to look at the work that my team is doing and identify opportunities for improvement, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. I use Jellyfish daily, it's part of my morning routine. I also use it during sprint retros to show the team how they're doing on their sprint commitments, etc. At first it was a little daunting to use, but the Jellyfish Academy really helped and now it's become a lot easier to use.
We have a slack channel set up with Jellyfish support and we have questions answered very quickly when they arise. It's been a really good experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is the additional clicks it takes to open things from Jellyfish into Jira. I wish I didn't have to open an additional screen in order to see the "open in jira" button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps me identify how the team is being efficient, and where they're not being efficient. I can also use it to look at my individual contributor's progress and where they might be struggling. I love the ability to check out my team's collaboration with each other.

Great Metrics Overview, But Incentivizes Unproductive Behaviors

  • October 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It provides aggregated views of various metrics, such as productivity, speed, etc., which are helpful to objectively see the ongoing progress/improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
It incentivizes commits and comments on PRs, knowing which, developers can leave very basic review comments (nitpicks) and their metrics would boost. Also, knowing that Jellyfish tracks commits per day as a metric, it can lead to developers making a habit of committing after every small code change, potentially after every line change.
Jellyfish needs to be smart to identify these and discard (or not incentivize) such patterns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides objective view of various metrics around developers, which can assist in viewing their performance through same lens.
