Excellent VM Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface and how easy it is to locate the necessary tools and settings for the virtual machine(s) that are being worked on.
What do you dislike about the product?
During my time working with VMware Virtual Center I have not found anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote access to virtual machines located off site. It has been very easy to manage these virtual machines remotely and it has helped with troubleshooting supposedly offline servers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

VMWare Virtual Center
What do you like best about the product?
I works. Lets me manage our VM Ware environment. The web client is now good enough to do anything I need to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some issues using the remote console on Windows 10/Edge. This is being addressed but slowly considering how long Win 10 has been out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VMs are the only way to go. Sure we have some physical but with VMs we need management. This lets us do it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do you homework.
Virtually foolproof!

VMWare's VirtualCenter gives an easy look into VM health, history, and current status. It's a powerhouse that let me shut down old PC boxes and remove old equipment that has now been virtualized. Simple, easy, and effective.

Nothing! The tool works wonders and even has a Linux version.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the time taken to restore the snapshot is very much.

Overall positive experience but it can always improve and be better.
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive and newer version more user friendly. We are using vSAN for vSphere 6.x cluster to manage the infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more API integration and more Open Source options. Also, it is admin centric but needs to be developer focused as well since DevOps is inevitable. Licensing needs to be streamlined. We would like to implement SDDC and would like better integration for different infrastructure stacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking for a single pane of glass. Like many others, we would like to adopt a DevOps models with CI/CD. Further, automation is a key and we have vRA and vRO that integrates within vCenter that allows us to automate IaaS at a very basic level.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your due diligence. When we started our virtualization, choices were limited and other offerings were immature. But the market dynamics have changed and there are alternatives available.
Open Stack seems very attractive and Hyper V has come long way. It all depends on your needs, comfort level and skill set.
