Apptio products are Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio products are robust and deliver exceptional value for organizations committed to optimizing their IT investments, though they require a solid data foundation and organizational buy-in to fully realize their potential. Easy to Use

Support was an issue. Wasnt very Clear on solutions.

Easy Solution and foundation.

What do you like best about the product?
Provides great platform for connecting disperate sets of data - both operational and financial - to provide transparency around IT operations. Allows companies who perform multiple allocation methodologies to allocate IT spend back to business with great flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on current model and flexibility. Lack of forward looking analysis. No AI embedded to provide additional insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides most amount of transparency around usage of IT assets and spend. Allows us the ability to perform allocations based upon usage (both direct and indirect) and provide greater visibility into the IT landscape.

The platform can be customized to different needs, is simple to use and navigte and provides Finance partners insightful views and breakouts of our technology spend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Business Integence functions can be improved uppon to allow for more selfservice reporting creations and custom dashboarding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidation of IT expense mangement from multiple spreadsheets into a live platform, simplificaition in the tagging process, centralized and common taxonomy allows for quick implementation of new depatments.

Apptio TBM framework, Bill of IT functionality and ability to churn large amount of data to get the desired outcomes from cost transparency and bill of it standpoint

Reporting capabilities and not very user friendly, Apptio BI is along the same line

Its complexity, as setting up and maintaining the platform can be time-consuming and requires dedicated resources.

It provides visibility into IT spending, allowing us to see exactly where their budget is allocated and identify opportunities for optimization. By automating data collection and reporting, Apptio eliminates manual processes, reducing errors and freeing up time for IT and finance teams.

Once you understand ATUM and have an idea of what the goal is, apptio providers a fairly flexible and customizable approach to unlocking technology value in your org.

Some of the benchmarking isn't granular enough to be useful

The organization lacked basic visibility into IT spend ultimately resulting in misalign incentives and poor investment
