Graphics suite for everyone

  • June 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One stop shop for visual content available for all levels of expertise in graphic design
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI tools are underwhelming compared to emerging competitors (in terms of image creation or editing, slide creation and so on). Should be improved with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It speeds up the creation of basically any graphic design format, including slides, social media content and even docs or spreadsheets. I use it in my courses along with my students to create graphic and web design content.

Skeptical at first but I can now see the value

What do you like best about the product?
As a graphic and web designer for over 20 years the idea of a simplified design tool seemed a bit odd compared to power of creative suite. Using it as part of a marketing team though it really shines allowing us to give templates to colleagues to produce their own graphics. It is easy to use for administrators and ordinary users. We have set up a brand with our colours, typography and templates. Canva is easy to use, allows integration with our DAMS and gets heavy usage in the team. We haven't really needed much in the way of customer support as it works out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canva doesn't have the precision of Creative Cloud. It is an ideal for a team but sometimes the output falls short in terms of quality. In terms of it's professional print capabilities it also falls very short in comparison to inDesign however for small business or for empowering teams to produce their own digital assets it is excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a solution for created branded assets for social media and basic video editing. The ability for admins to control Brand Kits allow us to create more consistent visual content across the team. The included stock photography and music is really helpful.

Very intuitive and versatile

What do you like best about the product?
How easy is to collaborate with teammates. I work in a non designers team and it's very intuitive for them how to edit templates. I rely quite a lot on the bank of photographies the software has as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular that I dislike, but sometimes it cuts my creativity process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create templates for my coworkers and Canva makes it really intuitive for them on how to update these

Easy to use, but limited without Pro

  • June 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how beginner-friendly Canva is. The interface is super simple, and I love that there are premade templates for just about anything. It saves a lot of time, especially when I just need to get something out quickly. It's also easy to customize with drag-and-drop features, and the designs come out looking clean and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canva gets frustrating if you don't have a Pro subscription. A lot of the fonts, elements, and even templates are locked, so you're limited in your creations unless you pay. It also starts to feel repetitive, like there aren't enough options. Sometimes I go in to make something simple and end up spending hours just trying to get one thing right because of how restrictive or glitchy certain tools can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva helps me create digital content without needing to learn complex software. It makes it easy to design social posts, flyers, and visuals for school or personal projects. It's saving me time , helping me stay creative, and giving me more control over my visuals without having to pay someone else to do it.

Canva the best

  • June 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Canva is how easy it makes designing almost anything. Whether it's social media posts, presentations, or even full websites, Canva gives you all the tools you need in one simple platform. It’s user-friendly, saves a lot of time, and doesn’t require advanced design skills to create professional-looking results.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Canva is that when creating websites, you can't add custom code or integrate certain apps or widgets. This really limits the functionality and flexibility compared to other web design platforms. Also, some features feel too basic or not customizable enough, especially for more advanced users who want more control over the design and interactivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva is solving the problem of complex and time-consuming design tools. It makes graphic design accessible to everyone, even those without a background in design. For me, it saves time and effort when creating content for social media, presentations, and even websites. Its templates, drag-and-drop interface, and ready-to-use elements help me produce professional-looking designs quickly and easily.

Canva Makes Design Collaboration Easy, but Has Some Room to Grow

  • June 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a graphic designer working across freelance and organizational projects, Canva has been a reliable and user-friendly tool in my workflow. I really appreciate how intuitive it is, it's easy to jump in and start designing, and share work without a steep learning curve. The ability to collaborate with others is one of my favorite aspects. Being able to send a link and have clients leave feedback directly in the design streamlines communication and speeds up the revision process. Canvas variety of templates and built-in assets also make it quick to mockup ideas or build out simple social media content. For fast-paced work, especially when I need to hand off designs to people without a design background, it's very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Canva does offer a good range of design tools, I sometimes feel limited as a graphic designer when working on more advanced layouts. For example, I wish I could adjust tracking (the space between letters) line-by-line within a single text box. I have to break it up into multiple boxes right now if I want to do that which slows things down. The drop shadow feature also feels a bit clunky compared to tradition design software. More precise controls would makes it more usable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva solves the problem of client collaboration. Traditional design tools are not always accessible to clients, making it harder to share designs for feedback. Canva is very straightforward and easy for clients/outsiders to use. It's also great for creating quick, consistent visuals. Canva offers great ready-to-use templates and digital assets that help me create on-brand visuals quickly without starting from scratch every time. It also makes revisions a lot quicker. With the built-in commenting feature, feedback stays in one place and is easy to act on–speeding up the revision process.

Canva marked a before and after in my professional journey

  • June 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canva is perfect, it has a lot of features, multiple ways to present your content, it helps you to think out of the box and make your presentations look really well. Also, the AI integration has been a wonderful addition. I love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm still learning how to navigate, especially going back without losing my progress. I think sometimes that's not clear to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I stoped worrying about making my presentations look nice. Now I just focus on the content. Doing great presentations in terms of UI used to take a lot of time, so now that I don't have that problem, and I can present stuff more often.

Canva for school presentations

  • June 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the wide variety of templates available in Canva, which make it easy to create visually engaging presentations that capture the audience’s attention—whether I'm presenting during professional development sessions, to faculty and staff, or directly to students in the classroom. I've also used Canva to design creative and eye-catching title pages for resources like our student and faculty handbooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Canva is an excellent design tool, I have experienced some challenges when trying to integrate it with other programs. Improving compatibility and streamlining those integrations would make it even more effective and user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engagement in presentations: Canva’s templates help me create presentations that capture and hold attention—whether for students, faculty, or during professional development.
Visual design challenges: It simplifies the process of designing polished, professional-looking materials without needing advanced graphic design skills.
Creative customization: I'm able to create custom title pages and other visually impactful documents like student and faculty handbooks.
