Canva AI Review

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. The UI is very friendly and easy to use. Even a beginner will be able to use it without any hassle.
2. AI features like design suggestions, text generation, background removal, and Magic Design dramatically fasten the design creation.
3. Even the AI assist helps in creating the designs. Just type your requirement and the AI bot will show you a bunch of relevant designs to choose from.
4. It also provides basic AI tools and features for free. So, if someone wants to work with just the basic ones, he/she can use it for free.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. AI tools might not work properly when it comes to complex designs like detailed typography, complex vector editing and layer precision that professional usually need.
2. Canva AI runs on cloud, so we need a stable internet connection. If the internet shakes, we might lose our efforts.
3. AI bot is still under learning phase because sometimes it doesn't interpret our questions properly and give us unexpected results (only sometimes).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to create a DCR (Data Change Request) form that collects the customer data and store the response in cloud storage. I took the help of AI assist bot by telling my requirements and it provided me a raw form which I later on edited as per my requirement. The form which AI bot created met expectations.

Effortless Design for Every Project

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Canva has made designing so much easier for me compared to complicated design software. The interface is simple and beginner-friendly, making it easy to create Instagram posts, stories, and YouTube thumbnails. I enjoy using the ready-made templates that save a lot of time, allowing me to customize text, colors, and images according to my needs. The presentation templates look clean and professional, which is great for college submissions or online meetings. The drag-and-drop feature is one of my favorites; it's not complicated at all and is very intuitive. Even with zero design experience, one can create something impressive. I also find the background remover and photo editing tools very useful for quick edits. Canva's video editing option works perfectly for basic edits like adding text, transitions, or simple animations. It serves as an all-in-one creative tool for personal projects, social media growth, and academic work, saving time and helping me create professional-looking designs without stress. The clean and easy-to-understand interface keeps me focused on creativity. I appreciate the huge variety of templates, and love how effortless the drag-and-drop feature makes design adjustments. The fact that Canva works on both mobile and desktop is a big plus, as it allows me to design anytime, anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels limiting when it comes to advanced editing control. It doesn't offer the same level of precision as professional tools like Photoshop or Illustrator. Fine adjustments, layer management, and detailed customization options can seem restricted for complex projects. Also, when working on large files with many elements, animations, or high-res images, it can lag or load slowly, which can be frustrating. More customization options for animations and video editing would be great. While the free version is useful, some of the best templates and features are locked behind the Pro subscription. A few more premium elements in the free plan would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva simplifies design for me. I create clean visuals without professional skills. Its templates and drag-and-drop save time, ensuring consistency and ease. It allows for fast content creation, accessible anytime, anywhere, reducing the stress and cost of professional design tools.

Fast, Easy Designs with Templates

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Canva is how easy and quick it is to create professional-looking designs without needing any design skills. The ready-made templates, the drag-and-drop editor, and the large library of elements make it straightforward to put together ads, posters, and social media creatives in just a few minutes. Overall, it saves me a lot of time and effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canva has some limitations when it comes to advanced design customization, especially compared to more professional tools. A lot of the premium templates and elements are locked behind a paid plan, which can be frustrating. I’ve also noticed that performance can slow down when I’m working on larger or more complex designs. Overall, more flexibility and better performance would make the experience much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva solves the challenge of needing design expertise for everyday marketing and communication materials. It lets me quickly create display ads and other visuals without having to rely on designers. As a result, I can work faster, meet deadlines more easily, and produce consistent, decent-quality designs that cover my regular business needs.

Everything I need for my day-to-day in one tool

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, the inspiration from ideas shared by other users, and how easy it is to use as a collaborative tool. I also really appreciate how easy it is to use both on PC and smartphone. The premium version is definitely worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only improvement I can point out is the creation of a more robust desktop application compatible with dual screens. It also doesn’t allow the use of pointers like PowerPoint does, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the moment, I use Canva every day because of my work as a trainer and content creator. The learning curve was extremely fast, and the possibilities of use are very broad. I really appreciate the image, iconography, and video library they offer.
