I LOVE canva. Working in a creative feild this platform has been a game changer fro me. It allows you to quickly and easily create flyers, invatitions, presentations, social media posts, and now even videos. It has all the tools you need such as stock photos fonts, shapes, picture boxes and other elements. it is also super customizable and allows you to upload your own material to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
what i really dont like is thta you cant downloadmore than one gif at a time and it becomes an annoying process to download multiple when you have them all on one roject. Another thing I dont like is that there is no eraser tool I wish they allowed you to delete some sections of a photo.

Welcome to my Ted-talk: Why Canva is the best thing on the god damned planet... no seriously
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is a tool that I use in all aspects of my life: for work, I use it to create newsletters and SO MANY people have asked me, "wow, this look great! What did you use to create it?" CANVA. boom. Its freaking amazing, legitimately fun to use, and from a gal who spent her childhood years creating things in Microsoft Paint... its basically the adult playground version of this. Almost like, I don't know, graphic design for dummies? Like an application like Microsoft Word, Canva automatically aligns objects and lines within the page, ultimately creating an end result that pleases the eye and makes sense alignment-wise.
I also have a huge appreciation for the variety of graphics, pictures, and elements available for use on the site. It is so easy to create pages within a newsletter that look desirable, simply because all of the elements are RIGHT THERE.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know when this happened, but Canva used to be SO frustrating when it came to alignment, and quite honestly, almost turned me away from using it. A number of years ago, I had used it to complete university projects and remember it being the most frustrating thing to use in the entire world. However, recently having gone back to it in 2019 to create various designs for work, personal cards, and Instagram posts, Canva has been an absolute JOY to use, with much of the alignment issues not being relevant anymore. There is still a learning curve to be had: when inserting a line, it would be nice if the line did NOT automatically get thicker when making it bigger, or this should at least be adjustable. Additionally, someone who is first using canva might not understand that the preset text boxes on a page often cannot be manipulated wight/length-wise. The first thing I often do when beginning a new design is get rid of all the pre-existing text boxes, and insert my own movable ones... but this isn't something someone would know to do if they were first using Canva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I actually use Canva in conjunction with MailChimp to create some really stellar looking templates that we send out to clients. I treat it like a grid system, and create my desired context top-down, save them as images, and insert these images into MailChimp. It works FABULOUS and again, when folks compliment it and ask how it was done, I don't give MailChimp credit... its all Canva!
One major benefit to Canva, and again I cannot recall if it has always been this way, is that copying and pasting elements exists. Not only does it exist, but the element that is being copied shows up EXACTLY where it was placed on the previous page! So in my circumstance, where I'm creating a newsletter, and I want all of the page numbers at the bottom to be exactly the same... canva basically has a built in way to automatically standardize this across my ten or so pages of content. Thats HUGE for me.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Anything that requires some element of creativity to it can be highly enhanced by Canva as an application. The automatic alignment, ease of template creation, and the variety of online free elements makes this the ideal platform to use for any of your creative endeavours!
Know that there will be a learning curve, and that is ok. Like learning any application for the first time, there will be a period of adjustment, but as long as you have some very basic trouble shooting abilities, you should be just fine.
