Effortless Design with Seamless Usability

  • January 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Canva's easy drag and drop features, which require no special skills to edit a poster or a post. Using Canva for making invoices, editing pictures, and the ready templates really makes my life easier. I appreciate how straightforward it is to insert a photo into your design by simply selecting the frame you want and dropping the photo into it. Plus, being able to drag the position of text or designs adds to its user-friendliness. The setup of Canva was fairly easy, and I even give it a 10 out of 10 likelihood of recommending it to a friend or colleague.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well for me it's quite expensive to go for premium but I'd like to get access to a premium design for reference or inspiration. Because recreating the entire design will need time hence seeing how it was presented will definitely save me from getting a premium. As of right now, I think they should be able to charge on a member or user on how many designs they created per month that requires a premium design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Canva for making invoices and editing with ready templates that make my life easier. I love the easy drag-and-drop features requiring no special skills.

Streamlined Design Process with Endless Templates

  • January 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Canva for its ability to develop stunning graphics for various platforms like web applications, emails, presentations, documents, videos, and ads at record speed without compromising quality. The rich library of premium templates for ads, videos, and HTML templates is a lifesaver. It's fantastic that Canva lets me do what usually required multiple software like Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, and iMovie. I love that it's an all-in-one platform for creating designs. Plus, Canva includes a powerful AI tool that helps create designs that exceed expectations, making our production smoother while also exceeding my expectations on design quality. Also, the initial setup was very straightforward, just sign up, explore, and start using it in production.
What do you dislike about the product?
If it can also facilitate good vector graphics editing tools, that would have been much better, we could also replace Adobe Illustrator with it. Sometime we need to design elements too like icons or complex logos, right now Canva cannot handle this, if it can offer vector graphics development tools then that would have been more complete platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva allows us to develop stunning graphics quickly without compromising quality, eliminating the need for multiple software like Adobe Photoshop and AfterEffects. Its extensive library of templates and AI tools streamline our design process, saving us time and money while boosting our productivity.

Intuitive, Fast, and Versatile Design Platform

What do you like best about the product?
I’m not a designer by trade, but Canva makes me look like one. What used to take me hours in complex software now takes 15 minutes. The template library is massive, and the drag-and-drop interface is actually intuitive. It’s been a lifesaver for my social media marketing and quick client presentations. Canva functions as a 'Low-Code/No-Code' environment for visual communication, saving technical users from the 'blank page' problem. I’m particularly impressed by tools like Magic Expand and Magic Edit, which feel like high-end Photoshop features made accessible via a single click. Magic Switch is a game-changer for creating presentations and resizing them for different platforms with ease. The 'Chronically Online' language support, including internet-culture slang, makes the tool feel like a creative partner. The Brand Kit feature is satisfying as it keeps design elements globally available across projects, ensuring consistency. I also found the initial setup of Canva to be very easy, with no complicated configuration required.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the web-based nature is convenient, it can sometimes lag with very large, asset-heavy presentations. I’d also love to see more robust alignment and layering tools—similar to what you’d find in Figma or Illustrator—to give more granular control over complex layouts. Additionally, the export options for high-resolution print can sometimes be a bit restrictive compared to professional publishing suites. If you create a complex design in Canva and later decide you need to move it into a professional tool like Adobe Illustrator or Figma for advanced editing, you're mostly out of luck. You can't export a 'layered' file (like an .AI or .PSD). You can export a PDF, but once you pull that into another program, the layers are often flattened or broken. You are essentially 'locked in' to their ecosystem. For someone used to technical precision (like coding or CAD), Canva’s simplified tools can feel a bit 'rubbery.' You can’t truly 'draw' or manipulate anchor points on a vector path. The 'Position' tab is a bit clunky. In a design with 50+ elements, selecting the right one can feel like a game of 'Where’s Waldo.' If you are working on a 100-page presentation or a high-resolution video with dozens of assets, the browser can start to chug. You might experience 'stuttering' when dragging elements or long wait times for the 'Magic' AI features to process. Because Canva is so popular, certain templates and 'elements' (like specific stickers or frames) have become overused. If you don’t customize a template enough, your professional presentation or Instagram post might look identical to three other brands your client follows. It takes extra effort to make Canva designs look 'unique' rather than 'templated.' If you’re designing for high-end physical printing (like a billboard or a premium magazine), Canva’s color management is limited. They don’t offer the deep CMYK color profile controls that professional printers often require to ensure the colors on the paper match the colors on your screen exactly. Canva’s data visualization is surprisingly manual. While you can import a CSV or link a Google Sheet, the charts are mostly non-interactive. As your project library grows, finding things becomes a nightmare. Canva’s folder system is quite basic. It lacks the advanced tagging, version control, or metadata search capabilities that a developer or an organized professional would expect. Canva allows you to 'publish as a website,' but it isn’t truly responsive. It doesn’t allow for CSS-style breakpoints. Its built-in accessibility checks are a bit thin. They have a basic contrast checker, but it doesn’t automatically suggest Alt-text for images using AI, nor does it provide a 'Screen Reader Preview' to show you the reading order of your elements. For someone who cares about the 'feel' of a presentation, Canva’s text engine can be restrictive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva helps me create professional designs quickly without design skills. Its intuitive interface and vast template library cut down my design time significantly, enhancing my efficiency in social media marketing and client presentations.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Canva for more than four years. The platform is straightforward and intuitive, which makes it very easy to use. Although I have only needed to contact Canva's customer support a few times, each experience has been positive. The support team has always been helpful and, so far, has managed to resolve my issues with just one phone call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really appreciate being able to access the older versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva makes it easy for me to create images in the exact sizes I need. Both Gumroad and Etsy are set up to work well with Canva, which is convenient. Resizing images is quick and straightforward.

Versatile Design Tool with Small Room for Improvement

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Canva provides different free elements I can use on my projects. These elements, created by Canva and other users, often add that pop of color or character, making presentations more engaging. The page size adjustment tool is another feature I really value, as it makes adjusting formats, like when I needed to professionally print a scrapbook to celebrate my one-year with me partner, super easy. Or even more serious moments like when I needed to create funeral graphics for a family member that passed, Canva provided me with appropriate templates to use. Professionally, Canva allows me to create engaging and aesthetically pleasing graphics quickly. The fact that I could easily set it up when I started using it is a big plus too. Its sleek and easy-to-use UI makes it accessible for anyone just browsing the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the paid features would be nice if it was free, that's the main issue. The background remover tool is locked under a pro subscription, but if this was free it would give everyone more power to adjust their graphics how they'd like, especially if they don't have the funds or means to pay for this feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva solves the problem of quickly creating engaging, aesthetically pleasing graphics. Its free elements add personality, and the page size adjuster makes formatting easy for different needs.
