It is easy to use, cheap and offers a wide choice of beautiful layouts

It is not easy to search layouts (for themes, subject, etc.)

We have been using Canva to do social promotions. No one on our team is particularly graphically inclined and it's been a great cheap option to put together some nice images

There is really nothing I don't like about Canva. It has a really robust offering of tools/templates that are simple to use and find

It's making it so I don't have to hire somebody to do complex graphics for us. Rather we can do it ourselves within the tool.

Have a design in mind otherwise it will be very overwhelming when you first get in there

Great Platform for Beginners
What do you like best about the product?
It's very customizable and easy to use--perfect for beginner designers! I've used Canva for years and it's been a lifesaver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had more free pictures/graphics/illustrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If I need a simple graphic created, it's easy to whip up a quick design instead of spending more time trying to do it in a more complicated platform like Adobe illustrator.

What do you like best about the product?
Canva makes it easy for anyone to create visually appealing designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using art elements that need to be paid for, Canva lets you add them to your design, but once you are ready to download, then it will tell you you have to pay. Of course, this is probably a way to entice users to purchase Canva Pro.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My students have been able to use Canva as an alternative assignment when doing a sort of "book report." This has been especially helpful for students interested in graphic design and those who despise drawing or handwriting. As an educator, I have chosen Canva time and time again as a way to make my Canvas homepage and Google Slides presentations more appealing to middle schoolers (they are ruthless). Even in my personal time, I enjoy making designs on Canvas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a beginner to design, Canva makes it easy! They have hundreds of already made templates that you can customize. Anything from business cards, flyers, social media posts, resumes, and invitations, to starting with a blank Canva(s)!
Designer Marketing Material without the Designer Software Price Tag
What do you like best about the product?
You don't need a design degree to use this software and create professional-looking marketing materials. The wide variety of design templates make it easy for anyone to create beautiful marketing material within minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to customize your design templates or build one from scratch there is a learning curve to figure out how to manipulate the elements in order to achieve your intended design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have our design team create templates for reoccurring projects that the rest of the company use. It frees up our designers time to pursue the most valuable work and focus on what matters most to us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If a professional designer is out of reach for your current project or business, Canva is a great alternative. Try using their templates to start. Once you feel comfortable with the UI you can create your own! Pro tip: go into the settings and upload your brand colors. It makes customizing templates a lot quicker & easier.

They appear to be doing away with their free version so more and more of the graphics etc required you to pay for them

We needed a solution that would allow us to create our own content and not rely on agencies

What do you like best about the product?
Canva offers easy access and flexibility for teams that do not have access to design software or other graphic design resources. I create publications for a local author and always use Canva to create publications to promote new works. I think the application is good, but the website is excellent. I love it because the design process is incredibly efficient and the result is high quality. When a friend asks me to create something for them, I share the secret of Canva and challenge them to create something on their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of its best features are behind a paywall, the prices are affordable, but it would be helpful to have a bit more functionality, and the interface is a bit awkward, the pages load slowly, and there are additional features that I find unnecessary and disruptive. Also, for some reason, every time I click on a link, a new tab opens, these are the only negative aspects I see about Canva, because I love the rest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to Canva, I was able to incorporate most of the basic graphic work needed to improve the overall advertising material, it really meets all my needs on a budget and allows for creativity, function, and fun, it helped me significantly improve the quality of my graphic design without being a graphic designer, it's a fun thing, but it's a reality, I think it's a great tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In general, I have recommended Canva to many friends and colleagues, and if you are not a designer, don't worry, because Canva offers all the tools for you to easily become a designer and allows you to create very professional posts/designs through its software.

I dislike that the stickers can’t be edited to different colours or that certain elements can’t be changed
