Truly a godsend, in both cost and ease-of-use
What do you like best about the product?
By far the best feature has to be the predetermined sized templates based on what you need to design. I usually use Canva for put something together fairly quickly, something that may not need a ton of design but still want to make it presentable.
What do you dislike about the product?
No transparent background unless you subscribe to Canva for Work. Seriously a drag for how awesome everything else is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to show clients how to navigate Canva to solve any design issues they may have. It helps them with costs and gives them some control over their brand and items they're putting out there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can design without prior knowledge of design, color schemes, kerning, etc. There are so many templates to choose from so it's incredibly easy to pick one, switch out photos, text, etc and make a design all your own without the need to hire someone or go back and forth on design ideas. Sometimes you wont know what you like until you see it so Canva is great in that sense. Also, if you want to kick up your social media posts, there are templates already sized perfectly for what platform you are going to use them for. Canva definitely doesn't replace the need for an actual designer for more detailed projects, but it helps business owners gain some autonomy.
Easy to Use!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Canva is intuitive and so easy to use. It is pretty much drag and drop. You can mix your design with canva templates or strictly use canva. I have designed so many pieces with this software and they make our department look like a million bucks!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found that the "undo" button doesn't work in every template. I also wish that more "free" photos or images were available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to upload our brand colors and fonts to create any piece in canva that we could in a design software. It really helps us in a time crunch if our graphic designers aren't available. The quality and look of the design gives our department and materials credibility.

This is perfect for designing graphics for a variety of social medias.

Pretty easy to use, could have a more robust graphics library.

Canva is Great for Creating in a Pinch
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it already has all of the dimensions needed for specific projects and that you don't have to waste time going around and trying to figure them out. For example, it's great that if I want a facebook cover photo I can just click on it and start designing, and I don't have to look up the dimensions and then create my own artboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that so much of the stuff is only included for pay or premium, but that is to be expected. It's amazing that a program like this offers a free version at all, so it really isn't too much of an issue. For what you're getting, especially in the free version, I don't really think that there is anything that could make it not worth it! I pretty much like everything!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use Adobe Illustrator for graphic design purposes, but sometimes if we are in a pinch and need to create something on the go, this is the easiest way to do it. It is simple to use and very straight forward. I love that someone with no design experience can use this to make really great finished products either on their own or from a template.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have a lot of design experience but you're looking for a way to create wonderful graphics or printed work, I definitely recommend Canva. It is incredibly easy to use and even comes with templates if you need extra help.

What do you like best about the product?
The templates give me something lovely to work with to best display my products. They are versatile and eye-catching! I love that I can make so many different types of posts in one place! I don't know about sizing and all the things that go into making something ready for facebook or instagram, and I don't have to! This program allows me to spend the hours that I would have spent trying to make something nice and to pour those into serving my customers better.
What do you dislike about the product?
I pin a lot of the posts I make for facebook on pinterest. I'd love for there to be templates for Pinterest that are a bit more simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My posts are more engaging and eye-catching. They look markedly better than anything I could do with a simple photograph and text. My Business facebook page is receiving more traffic, and more people are coming to my online store!

You don't have to know anything about marketing and advertising to use this! It is user friendly and will help anyone who is willing to take a little time with it.
Canva for Social Media Ads
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Canva has a lot of resources to create ads, posters, newsletters, etc. Its also user friendly, and very cost-effective. I also like that items come pre-sized or you can customize based on your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the platform freezes when working too fast, and sometimes the work is not automatically saved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva allows me to create social media ads for a client.
Canva, The self publishers saving Grace!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Canva is the incredibly user-friendly software. I can use it on all my devices smoothly and swiftly. The designs are gorgeous and easy to personalize to fit the theme of your book. I love the fact that i can easily choose between formats of the media sites I use and i know that my image will fit perfectly (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Etsy, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
I only part of Canva is that the free trial is not as long as some of the competitors. However, their software makes up for it in my personal opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva allows me to easily import my writing into beautiful designs to create and personalize my writing into an ebook form. I have used it a couple different times. I switched to making my own themes because every time I would hire a designer I never quite got exactly what I was looking for. With Canva, I do because I am using it to create my vision.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an excellent product for social media advertising and marketing. They have preset sizes for almost every site that primarily impact social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Esty, Pinterest, and more!).
One of the easiest photo and graphic editors I've ever used
What do you like best about the product?
The design tools in Canva are intuitive and straightforward for just about any user, regardless of their photo editing or graphic design experience. I like that Canva is a cloud-based tool that can be accessed on just about any computer without taking up hard drive space. It also comes with a wealth of stock photos, icons, clip art, fonts and templates that can help us get started and complete designs more quickly. We don't have to waste time searching online for stock assets that might have copyright restrictions. Canva has a wide range of styling options that can still allow advanced users to be creative and unique.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't as much control with it comes to transforming objects and snapping them in precise locations. We don't have as much variety in terms of measuring tools, vectorization (live trace) and masking. If you need the full range of tool available in professional design software, then Canva comes up short. There also aren't as many exporting formats for advanced graphic design files. Since Canva is cloud-based, you'll need an internet connection to use it, which can sometimes be a problem when traveling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, Canva has been a solid tool for creating quick and decent graphics for presentations, reports, social media posts, blog posts and emails. We can use it for just about any basic graphic design need or for simple photo editing like contrast or brightness adjustments. The pricing is very low, so it doesn't hurt our budget much. It's a great tool that non-designers can use to quickly create graphics on a tight deadline or when staffing is limited.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Canva can be useful for basic graphic design needs. It can probably be easier and just as efficient as using professional graphic design software in certain situations. If you need a low fuss design and editing platform that doesn't cost much, Canva is a great solution.
OBSESSED with you, Canva!
What do you like best about the product?
Everything about Canva is just amazing! It's SO easy to use. As someone who has zero formal design training, Canva makes me feel like a pro! I design some really beautiful pieces- both printed and digital assets, that get so many compliments!
What do you dislike about the product?
The one feature that I would like to improve would be the crop tool. you can't crop into a circle, which is frustrating! Other than that, I really don't have any dislikes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we are solving are creating stunning assets for social media, presentations and print, without relying on a graphic designer to do it.
We are really able to work faster and create better pieces for basically NOTHING! The cost is SO cheap!

Don't be intimidated! This platform is amazing for social media managers and marketers who don't have access to a full time graphic designer. You can make EVERYTHING you want-- the presentation capabilities are fab!
Simple and modern
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it provides a good amount of templates and a variety of graphics and fonts to use. It does the work for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that would make this app even more useful, is a photo and video editor installed into the app, then it would be an all-inclusive application, where you can find all your Instagram and Facebook functions in one place to create beautiful content
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva helps us keep in creative communication with our customers and audience. It provides an easy-to-use platform for those with little knowledge of graphic design can produce high quality content, when they have no access otherwise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is easier to use the application on your desktop. Save your work and then open the app on your mobile device to save and then upload on whatever social media platform that you are going for.
