Easy-to-Use Design Tool with Powerful Layering
What do you like best about the product?
I find Canva helps a lot when it comes to layers. It's easy to arrange an image on top of a different image, change the size, and adjust transparency. I also like that the initial setup was very easy and it's easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Image scaling is the only issue I have. Cropping an image is quite annoying when you can't scale the image you want to crop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva solves editing problems for me, especially with layers, making it easy to arrange images, change sizes, and adjust transparency.

I like how easy and intuitive Canva is to use. It allows me to create professional-looking designs quickly, even without a design background. The wide variety of ready-made templates, fonts, and graphics saves a lot of time. Features like drag-and-drop editing, background remover, and real-time collaboration work especially well. I also appreciate the UI and interface for its simplicity, making designing simple, fast, and enjoyable. The initial setup was really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels slow, especially when working on large designs with many images, animations, or multiple pages, or when the internet connection is weak. Actions like switching pages or applying effects can sometimes lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva solves the problem of complex and time-consuming design work. It makes photo editing easy with simple tools and ready-made templates that save time. It also helps maintain consistency and teamwork with brand and collaboration features, allowing anyone to create professional designs quickly.
Intuitive Design Tool, But Font Limitations Frustrate
What do you like best about the product?
I love Canva's ease of access and the ability to create presentations and design images on the go directly on the web, even without any technical know-how. It is very beginner-friendly, more towards the visual side than technical, which makes it stand out compared to tools like Figma or Photoshop. Setting it up was pretty easy as it is available to use directly on the web with all its features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fonts, it is literally the only thing that holds me back from switching to it fully from Figma. Fonts have been locked behind the pro subscription which is, according to me, very unfair because fonts are literally the fundamental part of graphic design and having no custom control over it annoys me very much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva is beginner-friendly and focuses on visual design, unlike technical tools like Photoshop. It allows me to easily create presentations and designs online without needing technical skills.
Versatile Templates For Every Need, Easy Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I use Canva for making presentations in my academic writing job, for assignments, and for making posters related to psychology, which is my field of study and profession. Canva brings in in-built templates for presentations, so the problem of decorating and curating presentations while using a lot of time is solved. Any kind of posters, invitations, or introduction pages for academic writing are done by me using Canva and its multiple templates. I like that Canva has a theme for every purpose and every format. Whether it's academic, formal, or casual forms needed, Canva serves all purposes and categories. It was pretty easy and simple to set up, no hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel more features are available in the paid version. I wish a little more features were free to use or at least had a trial period. For example, if I'm in need of a blue formal presentation template, the best and most detailed ones would probably not be available for free. A trial period or a first 3 times free feature would actually help me explore the wide variety more and inspire me to buy a paid version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Canva for presentations and posters, and it solves the problem of spending too much time on design by providing in-built templates, making my work easier and more efficient.

Additionally, there are a lot of elements available free for use with the prepaid version. The pricing structure and the variety of templates available for editing are also big pluses for me.

I find Canva easy to use for card creation, especially for event cards. It simplifies the process and has been helpful for doing my child's homework. Everything has been good so far.

One of the main challenges I’ve faced with Canva is easily locating my project files and folders. Over time, I’ve created so many designs that it becomes difficult to keep track of them all. Sometimes, I design something, don’t use it right away, and it ends up buried somewhere in my folders. When I return to look for it years later, I vaguely remember creating it, but finding it is a struggle. I think it would be incredibly helpful to have more advanced filtering options—such as filtering by year, name, or even by the content within the designs, like posters. Improving the folder layout and search features would make a big difference.

Canva presents information visually, which makes it easier for people to understand the main points. It enables us to communicate the most important aspects of a program clearly and effectively.
