The best graphic design software for newbies
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use for those who have little experience in graphic design. It has lots of ready to use designs for those who do not want to create something of their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many font options. Also, gets buggy all the time when I want to change one part of the text to one font/color. If you want different fonts and colors, you need to create a separate text box - inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create promotional materials at work with Canva.
Decent graphics software for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
They have great templates and make it easy to create lead magnets, social media posts, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The graphics often look pixelated when you download them. I’ve heard it is due to being on a free plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media graphics, PDF booklets, presentations
Powerful, with a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like best that I can create exactly the size I need for a certain ad, banner or document. That said, the templates they have are the sizes most often needed, and that is a big time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could search for art in the same "family:. If I find a good illustration in a search for "archery" that I like, it would be nice to be able to see ALL illustrations that are the same style, so I can EASILY add an owl and a plant in exactly that style for an ad for camp, for example. It is possible to do this, but takes a LOT of scrolling now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to create flyers, ads, and social media posts daily. Canva is a big help.
Canva is great for students!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can use Canva to create presentations, social media post, and create flyers. I actually used Canva for an internship and my supervisor was so impressed with how easily I could create infographics for their social media. It was so easy to use I even showed my supervisor who was older how to use it when I had to go to school after the internship was over. I have gotten very positive feedback from customers on graphics that I have made on Canva and I love how you can self-teach yourself to make those types of things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about it to be perfectly honest but if I had to say one thing it would be adding more variety of free templates. I know you can pay money and get more templates but for students that is not feasible. I also dislike that some icons cost $1 and if you paid for premium Canva you would still have to pay the $1 which is pretty messed up to a customer paying for the premium.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva allows users to become oriented with creating infographics, post for all different kinds of social media, and flyers for free. Canva is so easy to use that it can make a beginner feel confident in creating any graphic.

Make more free templates and icons for new users who are trying this out for the first time/
Absolutely love Canva
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is easy to use even for people with little design experience. And for free, you can create tons of social media headers, posts, and pics. They have a lot of design recommendations to make it easy to create something beautiful, very quickly. Canva has a good amount of well picked fonts and photos. Everything I've done on Canva looks really professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. I did run into some licensing rules regarding using Canva artwork for logos that was frustrating. So I had to use my own artwork. So for logos it's not as easy to use. But I still created something beautiful, just with more effort. I would like more free pics/graphics in the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can quickly and easily create artwork & graphics for my blog and business. And easily copy the designs to different formats, such as social media posts and headers. Speed and flexibility are helpful when getting a post up or redesigning my website. It's a great all in one design solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wonderful flexible software that meets a solo business owners needs brilliantly. It's much better than most of the design software out there. You won't regret using it. Super easy to learn and use. If you have no design experience they have templates for many types of documents that look great. Auto save feature mean you won't lose your work either! You can do a lot of designs for free as well.

I LOVE how user friendly Canva is. I love the many options of colors and fonts and that I can import my own color code.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could import my own fonts. I wish there was a way to click to show only free photos instead of seeing both free and paid come up in the search.

Fast, free, easy way to create images.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best site to create graphics on the internet! I've loved Canva since day one and recommend it to all of my friends.
Best graphic creator!
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is so easy to use. The layouts are beautiful and they help me make great flyers and graphics for social media. I love the feature it has to make sure everything is in line.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, canva has weird glitches. There are a few instances when the photo I want to use will not work for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a way for many people in my office to create flyers without having to pay for pricey software.
Easy, pretty, helpful
What do you like best about the product?
I can sign in without giving up a ton of information, and I'm able to browse for free to get some inspiration for our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish they offered free templates for adobe products like InDesign. It's frustrating to only be able to export PDFs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We create a ton of presentations and it's super helpful to look through their selections to give us fresh ideas for layouts etc.
Great alternative to illustrator
What do you like best about the product?
Despite owning Adobe Illustrator and the entire creative suite, I often prefer to use Canva for my design needs. Since my work involves more signage and poster art than vectors, Canva is simpler and more straightforward for my purposes. I really like the lack of typography limitations, specifically the ability to upload your own fonts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the cap on uploading your own fonts (at 15 or so) and I dislike the fact that once you save and close a canvas, you can't go back later and utilize the undo/redo buttons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since all designs are saved online, my work is easily accessible from anywhere and any computer, and I don't have to utilize a third party piece of software like Dropbox to access my files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a simple, albeit somewhat limited, online design application I would strongly recommend trying it out.

What do you like best about the product?
This website is like using an iPhone app- it’s simple, self explanatory and fun to use! There are so many free options, it’s hard to believe! You can customize endlessly and easily!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about this free software! You can edit their amazing templates and use your own images as well as free images, layouts and fonts!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We make a lot of promotional material but not all of our colleagues can figure out complex programs like photoshop.
