My favorite ESP to date.
What do you like best about the product?
Braze is an incredibly effective tool for sharing all of our cross-channel messaging and impactfully segmenting these users. With Braze, we have utilized the tools they provide to create an ideal messaging cadence for our customers, depending upon their specific actions. I love how Braze is constantly iterating and launching an abundance of tools/new features to make the product even better.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very minimal things I dislike about Braze - and for someone who has worked with many ESPs in my career, that's saying something. I find the Braze analytics to be a bit off, so it's hard to trust the results within the platform for engagement metrics. While this is something there are clearly workarounds for, it would be nice to have the data accuracy within the Braze dashboards. Finally, I enjoyed the V1 version of their Canvas Creation tool and am sad it is being deprecated. I completely understand why, but I'm excited to implement V2 fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned above, we have used Braze to change our messaging frequency schedule completely. We also utilize the tool, which allows us to A/B test messaging frequency and copy, then send the remainder of our users the test winner. Braze can handle most of the complex tests and experimentation ideas we develop in-house.
Really powerful CRM platform to scale your comms strategy
What do you like best about the product?
Braze has an easy-to-use interface that allows you to easily create automated CRM flows and standalone campaigns. The control function is excellent for reporting on campaigns' actual results and understanding your comms strategy's impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Braze is easy to use it does require some dev work to implement conversions. Data extraction can also be a challenge, but no different than other CRM tools in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze makes it easier to create multichannel strategies for our comms and report on various conversions. The segmentation tools are very powerful when combined with custom attributes that are unique to our business.
Smooth omnichannel marketing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, one source of truth for all the channels
What do you dislike about the product?
Some data management requests cant be handled manually and have to be done via API
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omnichannel marketing communication
Braze makes scheduling messaging extremely easy, and I really enjoy using it.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite features are seeing the estimated audience reach for a message as well as the live preview of what this message will look like when sent. I also really like the ability to send test messages to myself and other people on my team. The system by which we add test users is intuitive enough and it makes it easy for us to see what our messages will end up looking like once we send them to our users. I also like that Braze makes it easy to target either users of Android or iOS, or both groups combined; this is especially useful considering some of the technical differences presented by the two platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, Braze makes certain things a bit more confusing than they need to be. I'm not a fan of the fact that campaigns that are otherwise finished but unlaunched don't automatically get saved as drafts, which has led to confusion in the past. Overall, certain things could definitely be made more intuitive than they already are (but at the same time, Braze is very intuitive already so I can't complain too much about this). From a UI/UX perspective, I sometimes wish I was able to edit more options on a single page view, rather than having to go through each individual step every time I'm building a campaign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm unfamiliar with the previous system our company used to send out push alerts/messages if there were any. At this point in time, however, I don't believe we have any other way to achieve this. Braze allows me to meet my stakeholders' expectations regarding push notifications and in-app messaging, allowing us to reach our audience more effectively and let them know about what we have available for their enjoyment. Without Braze, we would have no way of directly reaching out to our users.
Not user friendly but many available features
What do you like best about the product?
The push notifications and in-app messages look good. I also think that the people behind Braze are very kind and responsive, and knowledgeable. I also like that there is so much you can do on Braze, and some of it is intuitive but there is so much we still need to learn and that is difficult to navigate. I like that there are many features that we can use to enhance the promotion of our content.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is inconsistent and requires a lot of backend work that isn't easy to get. It is also hard to figure out how to accomplish certain things on Braze. The Braze team is great but there is a disconnect because we are not computer engineers and don't understand certain things like advanced HTML and SDK. We want to make the most of our pushes to get users to watch our content but we are currently limited with what we can accomplish based on what we know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's bringing more attention to our content via pushes. Especially for big premieres such as Yellowstone and the Challenge, and episodes binges it is very useful and we notice a lot of direct opens. It is helping our team receive more recognition for our work which in turn has us work harder at enhancing the experiences on our sites and apps. It motivates us to work harder to make is so that our users get to watch our content as soon as it airs.
Braze is a robust platform for lifecycle automation marketing
What do you like best about the product?
The canvas flow editor makes it easy to map and launch multi-channel campaigns and run split tests on audiences. Event triggers and attribute filters make it easy to hyper-personalize your messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the platform is so robust, there are a few learning curves to it. Some settings are not where you might expect them to be. I'm still trying to get the hang of their reporting features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynamic personalization, automation & journey mapping with their canvas tools, engagement insights, a single hub for multiple channels: email, push, sms, in-app content and more.
Reliable software for reaching users.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly the software is and how easy it is to schedule campaigns to reach a wide range of users. Also, I like how easy A/B testing is to schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were an easier way to generate shareable reports via PDF to other users. If there was a way to simply click "print" and export as a PDF that would make things better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze is creating new and engaging ways to reach users through push notifications and in-app messaging. I find that this increases our retention rate across platforms.
Great tools to help promote content
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation & learning videos help new hires & current Braze users the ability to teach themselves new strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the new features require SDK - Working in a big company, this isn't always an easy task. Wish Braze could update for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now the problem is the different user experiences we have been seeing on the same push alert.
It's ok.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the preview of the notifications before they get sent out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the interface is not very intuitive and there are a lot of little features that require exhausting research.
I also dislike that the help button is not helpful. I often have to message the Braze representative to get the help that I need.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It maximizes our digital campaigns.
User friendly and easy to understand
What do you like best about the product?
User interface is pretty straightforward. Setting a campaign and seeing results, is just a piece of cake with the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of tabs on the right side can be reduced to prevent confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated newsletter sending within the company via pre-made templates helps us save time and understand whether the audience is really checking them.
