What do you like best about the product?
Braze is incredibly intuative to utilise and can be learned to be used at its basic level by most staff after an hour of training, making its utilisation in daily marketing incredible. Further, the constant adaptaion of the platform makes the product never feel stagnant. Braze can be used for more than email campaigns, and often we revert back to the platform for reporting, analyising and evalutating decisions across the whole of business decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often find that Braze has a specific way of proceeding with its features that should be more intuative, especially when one way of creating something is not repeatable in another place on the site. What is great about this however, is that the feedback provided is often integrated and therefore, it never feels like a consistent downside, rather a temporary one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Braze is providing a more holistic approach to all products and marketing needs across our global business. Its intuatively enhanced the automated user flows of our onbaording liifecyle, as well as increasing engagement and retetention of our subscription based product. Further, with one off campaigns and nuanced segments, Braze has made the mulitude of products we offer more appropriate to certain audiences. Offering the correct customers the right product, reducing CRM pressure while increasing overall conversions and purchases.

Great UX for day-to-day deployment of campaigns

  • October 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Visualisation of segmentation and canvas sections in the platform.
For the campaigns that contain multiple messages split by audience, content and channels, the Canvas view is very helpful to follow the flow of messaging. This makes troubleshooting inconsistencies seamless and makes refining the best route to lead customers down from a customer journey point of view.

Customer support are responsive
Whenever there's an issue with Braze, Customer Support respond in less than 24 hours which means you can resolve issues quickly. Campaigns are time sensitive so getting to next step is vital for many marketing functions.

Content blocks are useful
A lot of content for big brands are templated or follow very strict guidelines, this is where content blocks come in. Instead of rewriting text or sophisticated code, you just reference the content block and go from there so you're never waiting time going from scratch.

Ease of use for editing campaign templates
Between the liquid code which is written for Shopify stores and the drag and drop features, the emails are pretty straight forward to edit. Obviously you can fall back on html whenever is necessary, we tend to store messy html inside content blocks and reference them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rate limiting isn't clear.
How fast and many messages you can send is very important for time sensitive campaigns whether it is live sports or events such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I feel the rate limiting feature could be better at giving accurate estimates of how many messags are going to or are going out so marketing accordingly.

When it comes to In-app there's limitations in Canvas that are not apparent in Campaign section.
You can choose to build your messages in Campaign and Canvas modes and there's clear differences in the features available on each part of the Braze platform. I don't feel Braze does enough to lay out exactly when to use one or other section for building campaigns. You will start building something assuming the features are the same across both only to find out that Canvas has the feature but Campaign doesn't. Very frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending Push and In-app messaging to customers using dynamic personalised content across multiple channels. This is beneficial for customers who are typically less responsive over email.
The ability to test multiple versions of messages is also very intuitive for veteran and new users which makes experimenting with content more accessible. Braze allows us to learn quickly from our campaigns so we can refine our marketing function over time.
