The best monitoring system for me!

  • December 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about OpsGenie is their alert escalation notification process. With that you can set up notification to be escalated on each tier depending on your needs.

I also like their mobile app! It's so simple and user friendly!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the in-app notification does not work, please work on this one. Sometimes I miss some alerts as the app don't notify me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proper handling of outages and proper distribution of alert types depending on which group should handle it
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes price is way cheaper than other monitoring system. It'll definitely suit your needs!

All you need for on-call

  • December 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive interface and wide list of integrations and simple API, make this a joy to use. Configuring on call schedules and routing is a breeze, coupled with the simple yet very effective mobile app. You can also go beyond the basic functionality and set up complex rules to make alerting useful and not a noisy mess of false alarms. Price point is competitive and it’s certainly value for money.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing to dislike; more integrations maybe, but with the Email integration, almost anything can work with OpsGenie.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving noisy and repeating alerts into useful info.
Making on call a joy feather than a chore.
Easily scheduling the on call team and making escalation an effortless event.

OpsGenie Alerting

  • December 08, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The phone application allows us to immediately respond and ack alerts. Escalation policies allow us to route alerts to the appropriate person at the correct level of priority.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some third party products do not integrate well with OpsGenie. There are more PagerDuty integrations available. PagerDuty seems to be a more popular choice but did not meet our requirements. More third party support is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a Zabbix monitoring server which by itself generates a lot of alert fatigue for our on call employees. Using it in conjunction with OpsGenie escalation policies and on call schedules we can mitigate alert fatigue by ensuring that the correct person is alerted at the correct priority level. If the on call person fails to respond, alerts are routed appropriately per our escalation policy.

Excellent replacement for several other services

  • December 08, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We eliminated several other services (PagerDuty, Alert Central, and some homebrew monitoring services) by integrating everything within OpsGenie. One of my favorite things about OpsGenie is how many integrations are available out-of-the-box, without requiring a bunch of research in order to perform integration. We also like the fact that it does phone integration, which we use for contacting on-call staff after hours, by forwarding a call queue to the special OpsGenie phone number. In addition, the mobile app for OpsGenie is one of the best alerting apps that I've personally used.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some issues that we run into when performing searching in logs, though that has been getting better in recent versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use OpsGenie to handle alerting from a number of different services all at once, and the customization that is available within each integration ensures that we're only receiving alerts that we care about, and the system automatically ignores things that we don't need to see.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use their Support, they've always been super helpful and almost always have an answer to our questions.

Monitoring made easy

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and lots of flexibility allow us to do anything we can imagine. Lots of integrations and support for webhook notifications are some of my favorite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really... I like everything about the product. I dislike having to perform detailed planning in order to implement solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On call notification for critical issues via phone call, mobile app and email alerts give us a wide range of options for making sure high priority issues are handled in a timely manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use lots of integrations and consider your escalation groups carefully to make management easier.
