What do you like best about the product?
There are many table stakes community features, but also many helpful administration features to ensure a managed experience for users. The UI also feels more complete than competitors
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could make the setup and configuration easier. And also suggest ways to bring people closer to the community topics and posts. Currently, it's a lot of manual effort to drive people to interesting topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've started creating a user community for both tech and non-tech users. It's been a great place to house and promote public information which helps drive thought leadership and mind share.

An easy tool for building communities quickly!

What do you like best about the product?
The backend of the product is super easy to navigate, I really liked that I'm able to easily see and digest data and reply back to users based on their incoming messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain tools when it comes to moderation that makes it more difficult than expected. For example, having to assign moderators versus auto assigning based on who posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed us to quickly scale our community by having a well-built tool that we could plug and play with a lot of features. It helped us be able to get started without the pressure of building a complete tool from the ground up.

Best-in-Class Community Platform

What do you like best about the product?
inSided is a fantastic all-in-one community platform. I love how easy it is to interoperate with other back-office systems such as Salesforce.com, Zapier, and Skilljar. The API's are very flexible, and allow for tons of integration possibilities, which continually pay dividends when integrating with key systems and data sources. Their federated search functionality is also great, and allows for community users to quickly and easily find the most applicable content for their searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall there aren't too many things that I dislike about inSided. There were one or two occasions where they had a platform release that conflicted with third party javascript that we had on the platform, but their support team was able to work with us and remedy the issues extremely quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
inSided benefits my organization on multiple fronts. First and foremost, it provides a unified community experience that helps collate important documentation, platform notes, questions & answers, and FAQs all in one place. Second, it tightly integrates with our underlying platform authentication measures, so we were able to provide a seamless login experience to our end-users. Lastly, it provides tons of meaningful insights and data points that map back to Salesforce.com on a per contact / community member basis, so we can manage and follow-up on activity by user.

The best Community platform for B2B SaaS

What do you like best about the product?
The Insided Community platform replies to all basic community features, as you'd expect!
However, it has 3 main killer features that I haven't found anywhere else in Community-land:

- Drag & drop page customization of the home page and easy personalization of all pages. Without having to push some custom code, take time from developers and have a fixed organization of content, the platform offers true flexibility to adapt the way your community is organized in just a few clicks. A large selection of widgets and the possibility to add in custom code will satisfy every community admin.
- The cross-domain search enabling for users to search content throughout the eco-system: blog, help center, university... When using Skilljar and Zendesk, these are just soo easy to implement.
- Not a feature - they leverage their very own platform for community and it is an inspiration for what can be done. A lot of exchange with other community managers and admins!

All in all, very easy to set up!
The team (Vish, Valerie..) is very accessible and helps a lot in the first phase of the journey. On a larger scale, the company is eager for feedback, and to listen to our product requests. In less than a year, had a few calls with their product team.

Extensive API.

Can't wait to leverage some native integrations like Gainsight and Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There a a few things that I would like to see improved on the platform:

The management of groups and events as well as moderation can only be done by admins (people with a seat). As seats are priced, you can't allocate responsibilities to some power users, or other employees to do some part of moderation.

Dashboarding/analytics are okay, not as good as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helpful for peer-to-peer engagement and scaling Customer Success.
By offering the best access to interactive content, our user base feels part of a community they can trust, rely on, learn from...

Very useful for viewing online seminars

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can both record and view live seminars. The streaming service was also very interactive and allowed me to ask questions during the seminar making for a great experience
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only used G2 as a secondary service for another software company. It wasn't completely clear that this was a secondary service in comparison to the original software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been a useful way to view and learn information acout the customer success community. The seminars that I was viewing on insided were referred via gainsight

Intuitive Customer Community

What do you like best about the product?
Insided is a very intuitive system. It is very simple to navigate. It does not require very technical skills to learn. I was able to learn the system very quickly which was helpful in joining the organization mid implementation with an aggressive go-live date. It is also very user-friendly for end-users--simple to navigate and engage.

They listen to their customers. I am a new customer and have already been able to participate in 2 calls directly with Product to share feedback about specific functionality and our business case for enhancements. Even as new customers, they are actively listening to our feedback and bringing that back to their product team for possible enhancements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every software has its limitations. There's not so much that I dislike, just a feature that it is still lacking. It currently is lacking email campaigns. I need the ability to keep my customers engaged by keeping them updated aabout what's going on in their community---an email digest of sorts that entices them to join in on the conversation. Addtionally, I'd like to set parameters to reach out to users to re-engage them if they haven't logged in for a month or so. The good news is that they listen to their customers and I believe this is something they are actively working on. Even as a new customer, I was able to join a call with Product directly to discuss our business case.

Insided's reporting dashboards are sharp. They are clean and easy to use, but they are limited. I can't export the charts or export the raw data from the charts. I'd like to have a little more reporting capabilities so that I can play around with the data and build my own dashboards, like one on badges, which doesn't currently have any reporting capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are building a customer community for our B2B software customers. This is a place for customers to ask questions, connect with their peers, share best practices and stay up to date on our company and our products. Our Community serves as a central hub for our customers helping users self-serve and find product answers before opening a ticket with support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Insided is a very user-friendly product that allows you to engage with your customers and empower them to connect with each other. It's simple to set up with your own brand, colors, fonts, etc and create colorful engaging content for your customers to connect with.

What do you like best about the product?

Simple to use, and great support!

What do you like best about the product?
inSided has been very simple to use and customize. We're in the early stages of implementation, and it's very easy to see how fast we'll be able to launch and find value in the platform. I've also been impressed with their support and onboarding teams and ease of integration with Zendesk, Salesforce, and Zapier.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've run into a few small things that I'd like to be able to customize (hiding a page, customizing share images for social promotion). But, these are all minor in the grand scheme of things! I haven't hit any major roadblocks yet that will significantly impact our ability to use the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're in the early phases, but we hope inSided will help us manage a SaaS community that drives success at scale and provides opportunities for our users to connect and thrive in their careers.
