A really good product which is helpful to translate text
What do you like best about the product?
For my work DeepL is really useful for translations. The copy and paste fuctionality with autodetection helps to use it frequently and rapidly. It is really easy to adopt it into your work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing which is quite annoying sometimes is the changes you make manually in the translation. Sometimes these are overwritten by the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use as a first step for translation then adjusting it manually as some words are specific to our industry and need changes.

What do you like best about the product?
When required, a translator with functions differing from others dedicates to be. Other software has a habit of distorting the sense of an answer. The result may be unexpected. Deepl uses AI to learn based on previous responses, so, works by giving more concise results. I didn't remember that there were any confusions because of it. Furthermore, on-the-fly translation and browsers' add-ons make every page easy to understand for all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid version isn't cheap for Ukraine. But it hardly could be necessary for private users. Not only, but the translation can make mistakes sporadically, e.g., when confuses nouns' genders, despite it understanding from the context.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translation is a part of copywriter's work despite foreign languages' knowledge are required. Furthermore, other languages become a part of texts, if the author writes any more than copies. So, knowing contexts is necessary to trust it to translators like DeepL.

Server-side limitations, formatting problems (most of which have been corrected over the years but still, some times it just stops translating because of "exotic" punctuation)

However, the translation quality for Russian and Ukrainian languages is notably lower.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in a German company, there are certain phrases or sentences of which I am not completely sure of the meaning, in that sense DeepL helps me a lot.

What do you like best about the product?
I am using both the web version and the API version within the company. Taking into account the features of each, I am using them conveniently. Since I mainly deal with words and short sentences, I primarily use the web version due to its good UI.

Regarding the glossary
I feel that 5000 pairs for the web version is too few.
If multiple glossaries can be applied simultaneously or if the number of pairs in a single glossary can be increased, and if combination terms like "AB" in Japanese can also be applied to individual words "A/B," it would reduce the proofreading work after translation.

What do you like best about the product?
Works great and integrates well. Both keyboard shortcuts for translation have quickly become muscle memory. The first shortcut is to quickly transfer the highlighted text into the application itself, translate, edit and paste back into any other application. The second shortcut is for translating the highlighted text on the spot. I use both on a daily basis and they work great. The app itself works great on the MacBook Air M1. Well, the main reason is the quality of the translation. I have tried many popular solutions, but DL suited me the best. Sometimes I use this tool just to paraphrase text, as the quality of the generated text is very high. And the speed of the application is amazing. There is a free version, but this is one of the few tools that I pay for with great pleasure to support the developers and further development of the product.

Often by default the translation is written from the other gender and nowhere in the settings is it possible to specify which gender should be used by default.
