Excellent translator!
What do you like best about the product?
It is an easy-to-use translator with very accurate translation, I am a journalist and it helps me a lot to translate interviews and long texts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like them to continue expanding into more languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the translations of the interviews conducted at my work

Mainly the speed of translation and accuracy.
My everyday translator
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use of Deepl in switching between formal and informal language. The instant translations are a tier better than what can be achieved with Google Translate and if one word or part of the sentence does not seem exactly right, one can always tweak it by clicking on it and looking up alternatives or synonyms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, I have to log back in whenever I switch devices. I'm one user, but I work on multiple computers and remaining logged in would save me a lot of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeepL is very helpful in translating large chunks of text at a time. When I have to write a quick email in a language that I do not feel 100% comfortable with, I have the confidence that if I pass it through DeepL there won't be much lost in translation.

Whole document translations, desktop app, custom glossary, web interface
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently no Excel support. Spanish is only labelled as Spanish when should be split between Castilian, South American etc...

Total collaboration with a Peruvian client in Spanish while the JV team is predominately European

It's genius learning of your writing and knowledge of other languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, my only dislike would be that the full version isn't free. But that's not even a dislike because the free version alone is extraordinary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps destroy the language barrier between myself and clients I converse with a daily basis. When I take a phone call, or write an email, DeepL is there to save the day.
Excellent tool
What do you like best about the product?
Deepl is the best translator I have ever tried, it is fast and effective, translates instantly and even if you have written something wrong, the page is able to understand what you mean.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's almost perfect, but in its free version when you want to copy and paste a translated text, sometimes at the end it says it was translated by DeepL, and it looks a bit awkward if you don't notice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I was working on my final degree project in Portugal, there were many texts in Portuguese that I didn't understand perfectly, and thanks to DeepL, I was able to translate and understand them, making my work easier.

What do you like best about the product?
DeepL translations read very well as DeepL produces natural language. DeepL is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The glossary function is not available for all language combinations, especially German-Italian would be helpful for us. Moreover, they do not offer onsite installations.

Writing texts in foreign languages, understanding texts in foreign languages, writing in my own language

The translations are of good quality and it is easy to upload full documents and have them translated in less than a minute.

I am missing a glossary for translations from English into Dutch.

By using DeepL we are saving a lot of time and money, compared to professional translation agencies.
DeepL helps us to break the language barrier
What do you like best about the product?
As an internal language department within KBC Bank, we have been working with DeepL since 2017 and are extremely satisfied with the collaboration. The quality of the machine translations are still among the best in the market. The API allows us to call the application smoothly from our CAT tool (Memsource) and build it into several applications, such as an in-house alternative to free online translation applications or the machine translation of chat applications. In this way DeepL helps us to break the language barrier.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Belgian institution, Dutch is our core language. However, important features such as the glossary function are not yet available for translations from and to Dutch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a fincancial institution, security is very important. With DeepL we have a trusted partner that considers data security of paramount importance.
