Too many bugs...
What do you like best about the product?
The free teaser version promises a lot, but ...
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you actually pay money for it, the downloaded version is practically unavailable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeepL is not solving any problems for me right now. I regret shelling over money for it.
Good language quality and good translations
What do you like best about the product?
DeepL provides accurate translations, it also catches hints and idioms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not up to date with some colloqial terms in Englised used by modern day youth. Then I need to use Urban dictionary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translate between German, English, and French
Very good and straightforward tool for communication with foreign business contacts
What do you like best about the product?
Quick and uncomplicated in daily use for translations and for translating documents. Easy to use and well integrated into the systems. A translation aid is immediately offered, which is very helpful with the daily increasing receipt of English emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have found nothing negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More and more emails, inquiries, and web meetings are coming in English. Here, DeepL can be used quickly and easily.
Good with many languages, less so with Hungarian
What do you like best about the product?
Quick translation and alternative translation options. Translation of entire documents. High user-friendliness.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the paid version, unfortunately, only 5 documents can be translated per month. It would be nice if this were a bit more. As a private user, the other options are too expensive.
For the Hungarian language, it is only partially suitable. Since the formal address in the Hungarian language is the 3rd person singular or plural, the program often confuses the 2nd and 3rd person in various combinations. I have complained about this several times, but unfortunately without success. We pass it on to our development. Another expression for: not interested....
Another problem is that the program often loses the connection to the internet, even though the computer is connected to the internet. If this occurs, the program must be closed and then the still open instance must be terminated in the Task Manager. Only then can it be used again after restarting the program.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a private user, no commercial use
very good translation
What do you like best about the product?
The best is the live translation with the key combination and double .
What do you dislike about the product?
there are a few translations from DE to EN that don't quite fit correctly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
no problems
My go-to translation assistant
What do you like best about the product?
DeepL is simple and intuitive to use and it really understands the nuances of French, the language I use it for mostly. It has an excellent dictionary for those moments when I am unsure if the sense of what I am saying is right, and the alternatives offered are always helpful in refining the translation. I use it most days as I live in France and am still learning this complex language.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very occasionally I am unsure that I have chosen the right word, ironically because of the wide range of alternatives offered!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's qquick and effective. It saves me a lot of time that I would otherwise be struggling with the language. However, it is a great learning tool for me, rather than a dependance.
Discover new worlds!
What do you like best about the product?
With DeepL, previously closed "worlds" have opened up to me. Now retired, I can take on long-postponed projects for which I need access to foreign language archives. Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish were previously insurmountable barriers; and anyone who has ever paid a professional translator knows how to appreciate the performance of DeepL. After a short "trial phase" and convincing results, I switched to DeepL professional and have not regretted it for a single day. Thank you very much for your work!
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, I only had the "very" small Latin certificate in school, and I am eagerly awaiting further language modules, such as Latin, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have no business problems that could be solved with DeepL.
Poor, glitchy UI with constant dropping of phrases
What do you like best about the product?
I like to save time in translating, when it works it's very satisfying
What do you dislike about the product?
customer support seems nonexistent, constant glitching and freezing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need quick technical translation, especially in the fields of denstistry and orthodontics. unfortunately the glossary is severely limited and requires constant updating for real life usage
The App That Google Translate Wishes It Could Be....
What do you like best about the product?
It's Google Chrome extension quickly translates any text on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs to feature the Catalan language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping by providing an extension that blends well with websites, applications, etc to avoid switching tabs to translate texts. For example, if I see a text I want to translate, I can just hit Command + C twice and it translates it right away without switching to another application.
DeepL Is a Game-Changer for Subtitlers and Editors Tackling Multilingual Content
What do you like best about the product?
I work as an independent English subtitle editor and AI content assessor, and frequently work on time-sensitive localization tasks in education, marketing, and technical writing. DeepL has been an absolute game-changer for both the accuracy and efficiency of my work. DeepL offers very precise, contextual, idiom- and technical term-preserving translations that outstrip those of other software tools. Its consistent script handling, too, has streamlined my subtitling routine, reducing editing times by 30–40%. The document uploading feature is particularly effective for high-volume processing, and the interface is crisp and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
In addition to its advantages, DeepL does have limitations. It is not as multilingual as Google Translate, and it does not have features such as website translation and offline use. It has strict character and document limits in the free plan, and it is not as accurate with certain non-European languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeepL assists my work towards overcoming two of the biggest challenges in my subtitle editing and AI content checking work: contextual accuracy and minimizing post-edit time. A lot of my work consists of editing complex, technical scripts in various languages, and DeepL consistently returns translations with higher retention of tone, intent, and technical specificity compared to any tool with which I have ever worked. This improved the overall quality of my work and cut my editing time by 30-40% so that I can finish my work with fewer rounds of revisions and higher client satisfaction while meeting my tight deadlines.
