Perfect for small to medium size business
What do you like best about the product?
Xero is incredibly intuitive and easy to use for non-accounting users. Simple functions around supplier payments and cash receipts make day to day operations. For a smaller business its the perfect solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Xero is limited in its controls (journal approvals et) and is aimed at small scale companies. When a companies invoicing etc reaches a significant growth point, the invoices cannot be contained within one Xero environment and multiple need to be run at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero is really effective in doing the simple things such as supplier management, invoicing and cash matching functions. Reports are simple to run and typically contain the right fields etc to match your needs.

Very easy to use, and well supported by accountants
What do you like best about the product?
Great look and feel (user interface) and is well laid out - much better than MYOB online which I use to administer my local model railway club. It just seems like more thought has been put into it.
From what I can see, plenty of accountants use it themselves and support it (more than MYOB or Quickbooks, I reckon).

Nothing springs to mind - it just works!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of invoices, bills and the accounts. Nothing specific, we just use it for our accounting system
A good accounting software for non-acccountants
What do you like best about the product?
Xero is easy to navigate and less intimidating than the more traditional Quickbooks. Even without the help of our accounting team, we've been able to generate reports and get a clearer understanding of our financials to make better decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating custom reports can some times be labor intensive and the formatting isn't my favorite. However the information can be organized how you want, just may take some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero is giving us financial reports to help us make more informed and intentional decisions for our business. It simplified some of the complexities of accounting so that we could get to results much faster.
Xero - Ease of working and one of the best software
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. There is not much of a learning curve. Easy to create financial statements and manage cash flow. The UI is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chart of accounts is a little cumbersome.

Its ease of using has made accounting simpler and little faster.

Xero is extremely easy to use and has fantastic integration capabilities for business owners.

Although I do LOVE Xero it would be wonderful to have a FREE service available for business owners just starting to learn about the power of accounting software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When using Xero it helps to clarify what the cashflow situation is for my clients' businesses.

Xero Projects at work
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can go back and make changes to invoices
What do you dislike about the product?
In Projects it would be helpful if you can get the quote or invoice number automatically added to the project name once generated and to also automatically connect the quotes and invoices to a project without having to update it manually
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To change a name on an invoice is a big positive and to be able to edit documents several times

experience, xero integrations, ease of passing journals and the user interface is simple and beautiful

there is nothing to dislike Xero, I have been loving this software for 5 years, and never disappoints

solves many issues, keeps trial of transactions, documents attachments, cloud accounting, realtime updation, multi user at same time,
Stay away - broken bank feeds mean Xero is a glorified spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
It used to work on basic bookkeeping but now bank feed don't work.
What do you dislike about the product?
3rd party integration to pull in the bank feeds has been down for over 2 months. Customer service has no ETA on resolving the issue. This is the primary benefit of Xero over its competitors and it's no longer working. So at this point Xero is a glorified spreadsheet.

It is very easy to use, and it also offers a lot of options to connect to other apps for more accessible accounting activities

There is nothing special that I disliked when using Xero

The main feature that drew me to Xero at the very start was the ability to sync my bank accounts and credit card transactions!

Very cumbersome! Suddenly balances may start unmatching. Could take many hours to figure out what went wrong! They keep hiking monthly subscription costs
