Used to be good, now overpriced and getting worse

What do you like best about the product?
Once you start with Xero it's easy to add additional businesses and new accounts (for additional subscription fees of course).
What do you dislike about the product?
Xero introduces new features that have never been asked for (eg. "New" invoicing), but dozens of high priority improvements abcs bug fixes remain perpetually undelivered.

To make matters worse, Xero has regularly raised prices, to the point where it now costs my business thousands of dollars a year just to maintain accounting and payroll functionality (we have to use a separate subscription for scheduling etc).

Recent substantial price increases have increased my motivation as the business owner to take our business elsewhere. There are more affordable options that by all accounts do not treat their longstanding clients with contempt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One touch payroll was mandated by the government and has been delivered by Xero.

What do you like best about the product?
Nice UI and some good features. Not used other accounting software so hard to compare.
What do you dislike about the product?
Constant price increases make it hard to work with, and since they are a core part of our business applications, it is hard to trust that they won't keep doing it. I hate feeling locked in, so I'm going to move on.

Helps to reconcile all accounts

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, as a non accountant I find the software easy to understand and the support is of the highest standard
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any downsides to Xero and I have been using it for years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to have a snapshot of the income generated and the expenses incurred

What do you like best about the product?
We can create our own customized report as we required. Easily record the transactions through bank and credit card feeds. Nice software for the inventory management as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
We can't create the sub accounts in the Xero's Chart of Account. Template settings are comex in the Xero accounting software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want to transfer the billing of one of my client. But due to somehow I am unable to do that. I reached out to the support team member and they resolved my issue. I have raised a case and they resolved my issue.

Xero is great for efficiency and easy UI

What do you like best about the product?
Xero doesn't restrict you like QBO with users, gl limits, chart of accounts limits, etc. They even throw in Hubddocs for free. Their find and recode tool is great and much easier to use than QBO's reclassify's txns. The implementation is also great and you can always go back and change the opening trial balances.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usability on mobile app feature. Also would be nice to have late fee and interest calculations on overdue invoices. Customer support is still lacking without any real ability to call them by phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are solving the interaction between bookkeeper and client, providing customized reporting, and creating efficiencies when reviewing and looking at transactions and the journal entries.

Perfect Accounting software with direct build in integration

What do you like best about the product?
Apart from seamless accounting services, Xero offers a direct integration with many popular inventory management software like CIN7 Core making it easy for businesses to have perfect synchronization of data across organization.

Once connected, Cin7 Core becomes the central hub for inventory-related activities. Purchases, sales, and manufacturing processes sync seamlessly with Xero.

Xero integrates well with job cards and allows inventory to be linked to specific jobs.

Customer support: I have experienced prompt support from the customer service team for troubleshooting and resolving in case of occasional sync issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally faced synchronization issues with CIN7 Core. But was resolved by the Xero technical team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero provides real-time dashboards, showing cash flow, outstanding invoices, and expenses. Users can access financial data anytime, empowering informed choices.
Xero streamlines invoicing. Users create professional invoices, set up automated reminders, and accept online payments. This improves cash flow and reduces late payments.
Xero integrates seamlessly with various apps and services. Users can connect Xero to their preferred tools, enhancing overall efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of things I like but best part is it's user friendly interface and to do bulk of work in minutes via rule making process and that Blue and white interface combo is icing on the cake. It generates various financial report like AP, AR and for 1099 Forms special features which is useful to analyse the things.
What do you dislike about the product?
As analysist or Supervisor purpose if we reclassify entries idone via bank statement features at a bulk than then there are no tracking back for the changes if we have data in thousand. Other wise it is good to go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As supervisor in a company I have to supervise the work of many. In a season time of 1099 we have only 1 month to file the return per due date and Xero has that inbuilt feature of 1099 report which help us to submit the more and more return and generate the revenue.

End of Year financial statement processing could be better

What do you like best about the product?
EOY reports are very customisable and easy to use once set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Preparing end of year financial statements could be far more streamlined: dates in the compilation report don't update automatically, page breaks could be easier/quicker to change, having to 'save draft' everytime a change is made seems unncessary and time consuming, having to go into 'edit layout' to make changes also seems unnessesary and time consuming.
Also: depreciation schedule is very inflexible, fixed assets should be able to have part sale, or part additions options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Xero for End of Year reporting and calculating tax.
