User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to mange multiple companies and different user templates
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations to restore the data for retired the company. Currently, it requires to be an active user to view the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
invoice integration with a different system automatically sent out invoice reminders, and easy to manage the opening bill.

The dashboard to the reporting are all very clean, uncluttered, and user friendly for all levels of experience.

Not having invent management or more professional looking reports.

When Other accounting makes you feel overwhelmed, switch to Xero and learn to love managing your books again.

My Experience with using Xero
What do you like best about the product?
I believe one of the best features of Xero is its auto-match at the bank reconciliation stage.
It reduces the need to go looking through invoices as Xero itself provides suggestions for possible matches.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although there isn't anything in particular that I don't like about this software but what I believe needs improvement is its bank feed system of linking to banks to Xero. Although the process is simple, it is still time-consuming to get the linkage approved by the banks, while many banks still haven't partnered with Xero yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think Xero has provided many Accountants with a tool to customize reports to suit the specific needs of each user. For example, I have redesigned the GST report, Ageing reports, and others to suit my needs. This modification feature has helped me save a lot of time as it provides ready-made reports which don't need any further filtration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a small or medium organization, Xero has all the reporting requirements for you. It provides new users with full training and certification, enabling users to maximize their full potential. It's has flexible pricing options to suit our needs.

What do you like best about the product?
We've used Xero for several years, and overall I would say it's a solid solution for any small business. It's relatively easy to use, cloud-based, and you can automate many aspects of bank transactions like reconciliation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Xero is really good in many ways, there are some really basic things that it lacks, which is annoying. For example, if you create a batch payment (pay multiple bills at once), it will create a batch file, which you should be able to upload to your bank, and it will automatically create and pay the transactions. But the batch file they generate is not customizable, and therefore it does not work with many banks. Our company uses Chase Bank, which is a very large organization, and it does not meet its format requirements. Considering how many banks exist, I would think that customizing the file output would have been implemented long ago.
Another example of basic functionality that is missing is bulk voiding or deleting of bill credits. For some reason, you cannot do this in bulk, which I find very odd.

The projects add-on is really useful when it comes to quoting and tracking project progress.

Honestly! Nothing special as compared to others software.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive nature of this accounts package. Historically I have used an accounts package installed onto my laptop, so to use a package where I can access my financial information wherever I am is really useful.
The intuitive nature of Xero means it does a lot of the hard work for you, particularly with reconciliation etc.
In addition, there are a lot less complex transactions, such as journal entries etc. It has transformed our accounts system.

What do you dislike about the product?
It did take me a while to get used to the simplified nature of the system - in fact, I kept thinking I was missing something! At times I do forget how to get to certain menus, but I'm sure if I used it more regularly, I would get up-to-speed quicker. Overall, Xero really does deliver in times of speed, efficiency, and simplicity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of having an intuitive accounts package that it is linked to the new HMRC's Making Tax Digital system. My old system wasn't compatible with this, so I needed to find a package that would meet my immediate and future needs. Xero has made PAYE and VAT payments so simple - and is saving me a huge amount of time every month, which I can use on fee-paying projects and activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are thinking of moving over from a traditional to a cloud-based accountancy package, I would recommend Xero. They often offer promotional discounts for an initial period, which will give you the chance to give it a try.

Integrations with 3rd party services like Expensify and direct links to bank account.

About half of the user interface is old/legacy and there have been years of slowly updating reports.

We use Xero for all of our startup accounting needs. It handles all revenue streams, expenses, and reporting for investors.
