A bookkeeper's bookkeeping service!
What do you like best about the product?
It is organized like an accountant would think -- logical, easy to operate, good, if not perfect, reporting. The automatic connection to our bank, credit card, and payroll services is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting feature could be improved; no indirect cash flow statement, for example. Custom reports are a little clunky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of our revenue and expenses, easy access to knowing where we stand at any time. The dashboard is

Xero from a non finance perspective
What do you like best about the product?
Reporting as it covers most of what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my non finance prespective there isn't anything to dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero provides me with all usual reporting
Easy to Navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to navigate. Everything is so easy to find and simplistic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like the process of reconciling a whole month/statement. Each transaction is reconciled through the bank feed (reconciliation tab) but there’s not a way to “double check” the reconciliation based on a whole month with a start and end balance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m solving duplicated transactions and mislabeled transfers. One benefit I’ve realized is that isn’t he reconciliation tab, there’s a small tab on each transaction for notes! You can write a note for a client to see or a reminder of something about that transaction.
Xero runs circles around QBO
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard explains everything you would want to know, and if there are features you always use, you can tag them to show up in the dashboard. The automatic billing feature is also awesome. Takes me less than 5 minutes to set up a new client and start the auto-billing feature for future invoices.
What do you dislike about the product?
When linking to PayPal it only allows one PayPal account. I have 2vPayPal capturing accounts but I can only link one. It doesn't recognize that there are 2 different accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to do all of my business bookkeeping and I can access everything via an app for my Android or Apple iPhone

You can manage your finances (any size company) send invoices and do payroll from one place.

Bank feeds are duplicated something, but I believe it's mostly bank fault not Xero

What do you like best about the product?
Xero is user friendly, it is easy to use. The functions are very good and easy to understand. someone with very basic knowledge can operate Xero with confidence and accuracy. The customer service and helpdesk team are also very helpful and provide answers at a very good speed. This makes things very good and the software very helpful and reliable. I always get help on time and the issues were fixed at the right time. The help and support make me more fan of the software and I always recommend my client to use this software.
What do you dislike about the product?
the Xero certificate is difficult. there are questions that are not used in normal life and that makes the certificate difficult to obtain. The test needs to be more focused on the matters which are used in general practice. The payroll system should be more simplified and user-friendly as like the accounts and banking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero is helpful towards bank analysis and running different reports for the business. easy to prepare the VAT return, financial reports, general entries.

Perfect Solution for bookkeeping and Accounting Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
It has a very good dashboard. Setup Process is also very easy and Invoicing is the best feature as we can easily create invoices also its a double entry accounting software which is very good . Bank reconciliation part has also solved many accounting problems. Also I like that It is a cloud based software so we can access it from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer support service is not good. Also the reporting part needs to be improved . Customer Sales Reports are quite complex. Pricing is high so I don't like its pricing part much, It is best suited for small businesses but not too good for large ones as bak feed feature is also not apt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Xero has made accounting and bookkeeping very easy. Xero is cloud - based software so we can access it from anywhere and that's best. It is very user friendly. Xero produces very presentable and easy customizable reports. Invoicing features is very nice as it saves a lot of time and has made invoicing very easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very user friendly and cloud based software. Best suited for small businesses. Invoicing and bank reconciliation features are good. Bookeeping will become very easy . Just go for it guys. Overall its a good software for your accounting needs.
Xero has made easy and advanced accounting software
What do you like best about the product?
Account handling is an art and Xero fits well when it comes to its implementation. Through this platform I am in a position of generating the receipts for the same customer quite easily, because I do not have to enter the client’s data again and again it automates the repetitive tasks for me, so that I can save my time as well. The Automation feature has also helped in managing and ingenerating the bills against any customer’s financial status.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the start it was a bit difficult to learn its all functionalities but with the time I got to know about all functions and understand how I can make everything easy for me and for my team. Thus now it has become a significant tool in our company which is playing a great role while providing effective services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I must say that Xero provides security against customers from fraudulent activities. Further I can easily manage the company’s assets, as I upload the detail on Xero against which a certain item has been purchased and also I import all my fixed assets into Xero in a short span of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This accounting software is very suitable for maintaining accounts and to keep the data in an organize manner so that you can take good decisions based on the real time information. So I would like to recommend it to those which are looking for an excellent accounting tool.
Nice if you are just starting, not so much if you have an existing accounting software.
What do you like best about the product?
We liked that Xero was not based in any one operating system and offered portability. It seemed easier to use than our older clunkier systems, like Excel spreadsheets, or older versions of Quickbooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Porting over data from our spreadsheet or from Clio was a nightmare and would never reconcile. Getting help at first was very problematic as it was in New Zealand. We stopped using it after about a year or two as it was making our accounting for our law firm more cumbersome, confusing and complex. They did try to help us resolve our integration issues but then we seemed to be caught in a situation where each softwares' support teams was telling us it was the other sides issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well none currently. As with any payroll or accounting function they are written for people coming from a current system, so what may seem intuitive for them is unusable or overly buggy to us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are just starting Xero seems to be more helpful and is getting more integrated with Legal timekeeping like Clio. We did not use it on its own and I am not familiar with how it may be helpful in other industries. If you are a legacy or older user of some software it may not integrate fully or efficiently and you may be expected to manually reconcile years worth of data to get an accurate picture of your finances. They may have fixed this since we stopped using it, however.
