Excellent accounting tool that strikes the balance

What do you like best about the product?
Xero has most of the features a small business needs, easy to use, and has lots of innovation going on to keep me satisfied that it will be relevant in the future. For example, it connects to all relevant online services for payments, bank statement import etc.
Multi-user access to all the typical cash flow and expense management features is done really nicely too.
They keep adding the right features, albeit a bit slow, but that's understandable for an internationally used financial tool that features need very thorough testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are mainly some painful issues to do with the local Irish VAT accounting which they are still working on.
The new invoicing system seems less intuitive than the old one.
Line items in invoices and quotes are very cumbersome to move around. The UX could be much better here.
The worst part is probably the lack of transparency of the road map. The company have deliberately removed the dates from the user feedback forum so that the requests that are several years old don't have the weight behind them and it is impossible to judge how slow or fast they are progressing with certain things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving loads of time by getting the staff to submit all the expenses through the Xero mobile app is a great time saver. It empowers small organizations with big player workflows when it comes to accounting and bookkeeping.

Unlimited users makes this a winner

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can add unlimited users is fantastic, especially during the current rise in home based users. This is something which appears to be the case with all packages. I also love the fact I can issue invoices with a uniform look and shoot them all off in one go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service is quite lacking and lax. It's slowed down considerably over recent weeks, and as we have gone more towards home working, we have had more questions and tehnical issues. Sadly, they appear to have gone the other way and have only a skeleton staff and an over reliance on generic, 'please see our most commonly asked questions' approach.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fact I can integrate this for my financial team is excellent. I do not have to lift a finger; I am able to, and indeed have, handed this to our accountants and they are able to pick it up and get working straight away. It's also HMRC compliant meaning money is saved by simply sending accounts straight over from Xero.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At the moment, I'd suggest waiting to see how the current crisis affects them. They appear to have been overwhelmed by what is happening so after sales support is virtually non-existent. My advice would be to take a free 30 day trial, so how they fare (the middle of a crisis is the best time to find out, for free, how accounting software really does work under pressure!) and then go from there.

Great accounting software to save time and money

What do you like best about the product?
It has been the most profitable tool for all our accounting needs. It is very easy to configure with the meter, reducing the time required in accounting activities. Your ability to record individual transactions has helped our accountant answer all of our questions. What I like most about Xero is that it is a cloud-based software, it is very easy to use, representing a solid solution with very complex features, being compatible with any device as long as it has Internet access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have had problems to configure the automatic bank feeds for which some bank accounts cannot process the feeds, this has the consequence that these transactions must be entered manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found Xero to be the simplest and most cost effective solution to our accounting needs. Xero is configured with our accountant and has reduced the time that needs to be spent on accounting each month. With the automatic bank details, the time we need to reconcile the accounts for each month is minimal. In addition, the ability to record individual transactions helps the accountant to answer any questions we may have and with Xero we have been able to create custom templates, as well as easily create coupons, invoice forms and purchase orders.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Xero as it is an excellent cloud-based accounting tool, very easy to set up and use, so you can configure some items. By having multiple features you will be able to personalize your relevant or commercial transactions. You can send customer invoices, as well as view past due invoices, which is ideal as it allows you to track accounts payable, create quotes and commissions on invoices and purchase orders. For these reasons, I dare to recommend the use of Xero, for a company or for personal use, since it will speed up and save a lot of time when doing your accounting work.

Best Accounting software so far!

What do you like best about the product?
I like everything about this software! I use this on a daily basis and it helps me keep track of the status of the business. What made me surprise about this software is the sophisticated tabs to track invoices and bills at the same time. It also provides an amazing process for generating payroll and as` well as maintaining Profit and Loss and any other accounting data. Overall, I'm just satisfied.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could get slow times but always provides better results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the learning of the software from the basics to advance that Xero offers to the users and I think , it's all worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user-friendly and very cost effective.
Generated reports are really reliable.
Payroll processing is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Least helpful about Xero is that when they implemented the STP or the Single Touch Payroll. This may automate processed payruns to the ATO, however, you cannot make further changes. In fact, it is really inconvenient as you may have to make manual adjustments though the payrun is still recent but once this has been filed to the ATO, you can't make amendments anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Encountered some errors and issue but the good thing is the support team always updates and can resolve the issue within the day.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is too easy to use, not just for accountants but also for people (our clients) who are not trained accountants. Recognising the transactions, easy reconciliation process with a few clicks, bank feed and receipt bank app makes the life so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little expensive compared to other cloud softwares like Quickbooks Online or Freeagent. The add on apps are not free but need subscription too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bookkeeping, Vat returns and Managements Accounts for our clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a complete accounting solution software which gives you MTD facility and it save time and you could be spending time time in generating new business while this software looks after your bookkeeping and compliance needs.

What do you like best about the product?
It has numerous integrations like Ordermentum, Receiptbank, Lightyear ad others. It also allows many users to be on the screen at the same time. It has a lot of advance features that is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Always have an issues like sudden interruption in the system while using.

Very easy and simple to use. It is also flexible and allows numerous integration which helps our company to have faster transactions.

Xero - An easy to use and understand Accounting Platform

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that I can do everything I need to from the App. My Accountant does all the heavy lifting and I can see and engage with my financial information wherever I am
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the cheapest software on the market and they like to charge for premium or additional services on top of the already higher than some of the other tools prices. But this is not something against the actual software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because I am mobile the whole time it is important that I have access to my financial information wherever I may be. I can generate an Invoice or answer a question from my accountant by simply logging in to the app on my phone.

What do you like best about the product?
This software is a very sophisticated one as it helps track the cycle of the business in terms of accounts payable;e, receivable, income, and setting up payroll as well. From small to medium size businesses, it is perfect for bookkeeping needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any problem with Xero as it helps a lot for my bookkeeping needs plus it is not too complex to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking my expenses and income all in one software is honestly very helpful.
