Perfect Accounting Software for Small to Medium Sized Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
As a small business we found Xero to be a very cost effective solution for all our accounting & book keeping needs. Xero is simple to set up with your accountant and reduces the time required on book keeping activities. The automatic bank feeds means the time we spend on reconciling our accounts each month is minimal. The audit trail feature highlight any issues that arise so they can be quickly rectified. The ability to notate individual transactions helps our accountant to respond to our questions. As a small business keeping our accountancy bills down is important to us and using Xero helps achieve this as the time our accountant has to spend on our accounts is lowever.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the automatic accounts Xero suggests you reconcile to are not always correct. We had some problems establishing some of the initial bank feeds and still have one bank account that will not process the feeds. Unfortunately we have to enter those transactions manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small business one key priority is to keep our monthly book keeping tasks to a minimum. Switching from MYOB to XERO we have seen a significant reduction in our book keeping time required each month. Not being accountants or book keeping experts using Xero as our accounting software has made this area of our business more efficient. Our accountant assists us as how best to use the software and as such we have been able to develop a simple client - accountant relationship with Xero being the main conduit of information between us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a simple accounting software to set up and use and like us you are not expert accountants then Xero is great. If you want to reduce the time you spend on your accounts each month then Zero will help you achieve that.

Easy to use and comprehensive
What do you like best about the product?
The way the software is easy to learn yourself without training or being shown. Loads of great features that make accounting for the non accountants out there a breeze

Would be good if there was live chat help

Excellent, easy, timesaving book keeping and accounting software
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, quality of software. Integrations are a real bonus.
Expenses module is also really good, although annoying it's an added service that you need to pay for.
Ability to integrate Stripe into invoices so clients can pay online is nice.
We use GoCardless to collect direct debit payments.

Super Simple Accounting Software for Small to Medium Sized Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Since moving to Xero from day one we have found a significant reduction in our book keeping time input. We are NOT accountants or book keeping experts and Xero as an accounting system has definitely made this part of our business much more efficient. We are guided by our accountant as how best to use the software and have been able to develop a simple client - accountant relationship with Xero being the main conduit of information between us.

Being able to notate any transactions enables our accountant to quickly respond to our queries. As a small business keeping our external accountant costs down is very important to us and by using Xero means the time our accountant has to actually spend on our accounts is less and therefore so are the invoices we receive from him!
Incredibly user friendly

I’ve moved from using excel to Xero for small business accounting and it’s made my life so much easier. Xero is simple to use and easy to learn.

It lacks configurability for specific company requirements.

Streamlining of accounting process and expense management. Has made billing much easier too
Great Accounting software for multiple inventory and sales
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using xero for almost 10 years its a great accounting software worked very well with Magento and now we use it with Shopify and Tradegecko the integration was super easy, having everthing in one place really made worth the switch plus the reports are very accurate and easy to pull

we had some issues with the returns and pulling sales from shopify that was duplicating the whole thing but was an easy fix

multiple sales on different platforms like amazon, shopify, walk ins, etc was very easy, and also invoicing

Easier than Quickbook
What do you like best about the product?
As an academic turned business owner, I had a really hard time learning the QuickBook system. But I was able to set up Xero and use it for my accounting needs almost immediately
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is newer and not as well known as QuickBook, there are some apps and programs that are not compatible with Xero, yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to use program that allows me to save cost by doing my own bookkeeping.

Powerful accounting platform
What do you like best about the product?
It has the ability to change complex and difficult reports into simpler ones without any additional hard work. Apart from this it’s a best option in order to pay bills and keep the invoices together at one place. All the tasks related to accounting can be easily done through this magnificent product in order to make tasks simpler. Furthermore, the ability of this application to manage all my tasks by its bookkeeping facility enables me to do all the major and minor tasks related to accounting in just few seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to keep record of GST return and also to maintain all the purchase history at one certain place is now convenient with this application. I have not faced any major issue since I have been using its services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great tool. For me attaching files with financial data is nowadays so much convenient through this product which requires no special training for this purpose. Another thing that I like about this application is its ease of access that enables me to login into my particular account from anywhere in the world. Lastly the painless setup of this product makes the working more efficient in order to do the setup more easily for the very first time as well.

It’s quite suitable for any kind of organization regardless of their resources because of its affordability. So, it’s a surely recommended application for everyone from my side.

It's easy to use, you can add all the options you need for your business and the software does the rest for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app doesn't have enough options for me, as some things can only be done in the browser version

It's better than other options I've tried before
Intuitive and easy to use accounting and billing software
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to copy invoices, create invoices and send them out based on templates. I also like that Xero has 2 factor authentication. It is an extra step but very important to ensure that the financial info remains secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you copy an invoice, it takes a few more clicks to change the recipient of the invoice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made it easier to track renewals with repeating invoices, also easier to track pending receivables.
