Xero makes bookkeeping simple and less time consuming!
What do you like best about the product?
Xero not only has a fantastic platform that is easy to use thanks to their instructions, but their customer service is also outstanding!
What do you dislike about the product?
The app on my iPad has been a little buggy since I updated IOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me a lot of time and since using Xero my revenue has increased. I love watching my grow- literally- on their graphs!

Xero for Invoicing
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use platform, can work around it even without tutorial
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not tried contacting their support yet, that means no issues so far using Xero :)

Great software especially if you need a simple accounting software, even if you are not an accountant

What do you like best about the product?
It's cloud accounting, bank and credit card feeds, great support, intuitive, has a huge number of third party apps to integrate with. A large number of reports available, easy to use, built for the Internet from scratch. Allows tracking for projects, giving P&L for all projects. Bank Rules save a huge amount of bookkeeping time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Good, but not great with inventory, but has great apps to link with. Internal Payroll Processing needs to be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auto bank feeds eliminate data entry for almost all transactions. Bank Rules cut down on reconciling bank and credit card accounts.

Xero the best accounting for small business
What do you like best about the product?
Xero is a much better platform for small business than QBO. Especially considering that most business owners are not an accountant.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few of their APIs have restrictions (especially around inventory)

Sales tax treatment in Canada is not very elegant.

Clear interface for invoicing
What do you like best about the product?
Very clean interface for billing and sending invoices. When you see what the client is sent is it a very professional interaction. We can also set up click to pay for our clients to make bill pay easy.
We are using the workflow feature for a multi-step review process before anything is released. That is a nice feature.
I also like the Dashboards and ability to search and find saved invoices. The ability to copy and old invoice is also very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since I am not in the system all the time I find that sometimes I am not sure if an invoice is really sent to a client. I tend to make sure I am cc'd. We also have some issues with workflow where the approver may send a draft to a client because they can see an invoice created right away.

Invoicing and purchase orders.
BEST cloud accounting software ever
What do you like best about the product?
I love the value of Xero. You can do so much in it and it has an amazing ecosystem of apps that integrate with Xero. There is a lot of flexibility/functionality with Xero.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Canadian user, we do see some limitations how xero functions. For example, we cannot create a CSV direct from xero to upload to our bank to create an EFT/ACH.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to handle the "plumbing"of accounting, meaning its something thats in the background and just works.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its great for small medium business. Really consider xero vs going with an vanity 'enterprise' solution like Netsuite
Solid service once you get it set up.
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service is fantastic. I've been on a first name basis with my personal customer service representative since day 2. Every time I have a problem he quickly helps me figure it out, regardless of how basic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting this service up was a PAIN. I hate dealing with accounting anything, and honestly quickbooks was a way easier and painless setup. But now that I have it up and running it's going okay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It takes care of my accounting in the background, so I can spend more time on my business. The most basic benefit I'm seeing recently is now that it's all set up, it's crazy easy for me to see my basic numbers- money going out and money coming in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Realize it's going to take time in the beginning, but don't be afraid to use their customer service!
Ease of setup beat quicken and quickbooks.

It actually sync effortlessly, without duplicate records, manual uploads and all the other glitches I had with quicken.
What do you dislike about the product?
price is a little too high for very small businesses.
