What do you like best about the product?
Xero is a super user friendly platform that allows me to invoice all our customers with ease
What do you dislike about the product?
The api for xero can sometimes be difficult but it’s mostly ok

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Can access it anywhere and Xero links with most bank making bank reconciliation fast and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an online software company, it is usual to have bugs when a new version is released. However, when Xero has bugs it changes things that can cause issues in your accounting system i.e. changing a customers invoice to GST INCL instead of EXCL etc.

If you make changes to a repeating invoice, journal etc the notes give a time and a date but not what was changed.

Help is only available through email which is fine most of the time but sometimes you do need someone to speak to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time-saving features like automated bank feeds

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use, and handles most small to medium enterprise accounting requirements
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if it handled SAAS software subscriptions, and had more HR functions covered in the payroll solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do all our accounting and payroll via Xero, and it is really intuiitive and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple it is to process transactions directly from your bank accounts, with transactions imported on a daily basis. I also like how easy it is to integrate with Stripe and other apps, such as Zapier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most support is handled through external advisors, rather than from the Xero team themselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplified bookkeeping and financial reporting. I love having a daily look at the business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Xero for a small business that has outgrown Quickbooks, and/or is looking for something easier.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive and flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functionality in budget manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because of Xero and its integrations, our accounting close is clean and we have all supporting documentation attached to each entry. It is easy to make changes to entries, reporting, budgets, etc. saving me a lot of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One limitation is that there are only two dimensions that you can attach to an entry. Make sure you do not need more than that for the foreseeable future. In addition, Xero support is limited so be sure you have someone capable of figuring things out on their own. Finally, be aware that Xero has a done of great, seamless integrations so if Xero doesn't offer something you are looking for, be sure to check out their integrations as it is likely you can piece together a customized solution for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with banking systems which promote easy account reconciliation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is "big" and wasteful of space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote working; Xero provides us the facility to access our accounting over the cloud. This works seamlessly when working away from our head office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you conduct a trial make sure you set up bank feeds; this will show you the true power of Xero reconciliation.

Easy to make a mistake in not submitting your expenses and you aren't notified if you have not yet done that.

What do you like best about the product?
Xero is very easy to use and customizable. The reports and features are all easy to find and self-explanatory to use. There are many fields that can be used to track sales and expenditures. It is completely in the cloud which makes it easy to access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to remove & redo reconciled payments before being able to edit the invoices. Not easy to quickly pull sales data by customer for sales reporting. Difficult to manage contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking different types of sales to different sales channels. Xero allowed us the ability for more data entry for more useful insights. Compared to the other options on the market, Xero is the better software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think through what types of things are important for you in reporting so you can set it up cleanly to begin with.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the usability with Xero. It is extremely user friendly for even the beginner accountants or ones that have no accounting background.
What do you dislike about the product?
1099 process at year end needs to be streamlined and created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fx functions are great as we are a multi currency business. Really time saving as it is streamlined and takes out manual work.

The bank rules - they allow FAST reconciling
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't set up bank rules for transfers between my accounts, and I can't import XML documents (not that I'm aware of anyway)
