Using Sprout for Higher Ed Social
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout makes things fairly easy and streamlined. It's pretty user-friendly and easy to hit the ground running with social and content creation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having used a few other services (i.e. Hootsuite, etc.), I noticed there's a few quirks, particularly when it comes to posting to LinkedIn. There are discrepancies with features available in Sprout compared to posting/scheduling natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is serving for me as mostly a content calendar and a way to streamline community management. It is nice to see all of the content in one place and it makes it easy to share posts across-platforms.
A powerful tool with good UI but could have better options for custom report
What do you like best about the product?
As a member of analytics team from the agency standpoint, I like sprout because for organic social management, it always gets messy; sprout gives it a one-stop shop for all posts made under one campaign or tag. It's look and feel really makes it easy to use not just for our team but for client as well. Our organic social team finds it easy to implement comparing to using the native platforms for measurement and keep tracking of the campaigns. The entire integration process took less than a month so it wasn't difficult to integrate into our current organic social reporting ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had trouble building custom report, the custom builder feature wouldn't allow you to add two metrics at the same time; sometimes I just need a custom report of a data table, no frills or data viz.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout mainly for analytics, it has strong pre-built dashboards that gives you a quick glimpse of campaign performance. But honestly it could have been better because the analytics tools are limited; it doesn't support robust custom report builder that allows you to create a nice looking dashboard with the data tables that includes more than one line of metric. I know you could export CSV but a dashboard will be better.
Sprout for Social Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout provides very thorough insights to all social platforms that I need to track. Their customer support is always available to chat, which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as user friendly as some of the other social analytic tracking tools I've used. It definitely takes some time to learn the user interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout gives a lot more insights than I can get from the platforms directly.
My experience with Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly interface: The layout is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate—even for those not particularly tech-savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much. I love using Sprout social given how user griendly it is
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of logging into multiple social accounts, I can manage everything—posting, replying, and tracking performance—from one dashboard. This saves a lot of time and reduces manual work.
It's the little things that count....
What do you like best about the product?
While Sprout handles all of the traditional things you'd want in a social management platform, there are two smaller/less prominent features I like the most compared to other platforms I've used in the past.
1. The posting queue is great for things that need to go out but not at an exact day or time. Sprout optimizes when that should get posted (and its different per channel), and even gives you suggested optimal times for things that do need a certain day. That alone has helped us see an increase in metrics in the first 4 months.
2. The listening feature - specifically on reddit. Our community is very active on Reddit and having something that notifies us of mentions and key terms is a game changer.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing at this point I "dislike". Any complains I'd have are more about the depth of the product and me not knowing my way around. I know they have good trainings too that I've glanced at for quick help, but nothing really. It took us a minute to figure out to connect somethings, but again, it was more of just trying to figure out where to go then anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved efficiency across our team members that handle social - posting, reviews/approvals, listening, responding, metrics, etc. All of it just became easier once we moved to Sprout.
Good all round social media software
What do you like best about the product?
Publishing and analytics are easy to use and provide useful functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service team is based in USA so sometimes a bit of an issue getting a hold of them during UK working hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a number of accounts that we manage and sprout makes it possible to keep our content as up to date as possible across all of them while providing a good analytical framework for us to consult.
Great social management tool for organisations of any size
What do you like best about the product?
Love that Sprout lets you have multiple accounts under one roof and easily post across your social pages. The 'campaign' tool is great for performance and metric tracking. The user face is super user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont have any downsides that i can list. Compared to other social publishing tools Sprout is very easy to navigate. One improvement would be if it allowed you to crop images within the platform (eg when they dont meet instagram specs)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprot keeps all of our business accounts under one roof allowing easy management of social pages and able to post to multiple. We can tag campaigns and easily review their success and performance
The best automated system for social media platforms!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation of the app and the competitor tools!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a different publishing layout for the calendar
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of the platforms in one area to conveniently post and respond to guest.
Useful platform, assists in business needs
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is necessary for me to do my job as a data analyst. While my primary focus isn't in social data, it is frequently a boon to the analyses I'm working on in terms of adding outside context to the numbers I'm primarily focused on (typically revenue-based)
What do you dislike about the product?
As more of an "infrequent" user than every day, I can sometimes feel like I have to relearn everything when I log in as opposed to natively understanding each feature, but I'm not sure that's a problem any system in the industry has a solve for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding our social media analytics/performance is critical to our business objectives and Sprout makes it possible and easy to do so
Streamlined Social Media Management with Great Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the clean and intuitive user interface, which makes managing multiple social media accounts much easier. The reporting and analytics tools are especially useful for tracking performance and making data-driven decisions. The Smart Inbox helps consolidate all messages, comments, and interactions into one convenient place, saving a ton of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sprout Social offers great features, the pricing can be a bit steep for small businesses or solo marketers. Some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which might not be feasible for all users. I’ve also experienced occasional delays in post publishing or syncing with some platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social is helping me streamline social media management across multiple platforms by centralizing everything in one place. It solves the issue of jumping between different apps and accounts by providing a unified dashboard for publishing, engagement, and analytics. This has saved me a lot of time and improved my team’s collaboration. The scheduling tools help keep our content consistent, and the in-depth reporting allows us to better understand what’s working and adjust our strategy accordingly.
