What do you like best about the product?
Managing social posts across all channels through one web medium, instead of multiple.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the site is down customer service representatives are not present.

Sprout is the perfect solution for our agency's needs

  • September 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hands down, our agency sees the biggest benefit when it comes to scheduling and reporting. Our clients are always impressed with our monthly reports and how clean and all-incompassing they are.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, notifications from Sprout regarding account reactivations, content that failed to post, etc. aren't sent in a timely fashion. In a few instances, disconnections have affected reports and left us having to pull missing data on our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social has absolutely saved our team time. From scheduling and drafting to monitoring and reporting, it's made each task easier.

The Social Media Suite on Steroids

  • September 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really hard to choose one feature I like best. There are a multitude of things I love. The ease of use and the reporting features are exceptional. Plus, they are constantly improving. Adding features and making existing features easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the large black pop-up box that appears once you click on a date to schedule. The box shows you how many posts you have scheduled for that day and a small preview of the content wording. I can appreciate that some users may find it beneficial but the need to move it off to the left and out of the compose area. I have to always get it to disappear to complete my tasks. And for my work, time is of the essence. The other thing I don't like is that I can't schedule time zones on a per client basis. I have International clients and I can't put them on Sprout due to the time issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling my clients and reporting in-depth to them the results of our efforts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, it's pricey. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!

Phenomenal Reporting Functionality & Would Highly Recommend

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a little more expensive (a lot more) than other tools but the reporting functionality far exceeds that of other social media scheduling tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost. I have tried to switch on a number of occasions -- but found myself coming back because all of our clients historical data is already being tracked in this system. I wish that it wasn't $125-150 each time I wanted to add a new employee to the account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to provide both paid and organic social media management services to e-commerce clients. It allows us to give them highly insightful data (demographics, etc) that they are not getting through other companies and tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you manage a lot of business accounts and want to differentiate yourself as a professional business, Sprout will be a great solution for your business.

Functional Social Media Monitoring and Management tool

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tired of siloed reporting? Sprout is one of the few [affordable] tools that lets you report on all of your social channels (minus YouTube).

It pulls in posts that you send from another platform into the calendar and reports so you get the whole picture.

The image editor allows you to crop images to the correct dimensions for each platform.

Monitoring is slick for support and community engagement (although doesn't include LinkedIn mentions, but that's most likely something to do with LinkedIn). Also pulls in Google reviews and Facebook reviews & recommendations.

What do you dislike about the product?
The calendar view - you can see daily, weekly, and monthly. If you choose to look at the monthly view - you can only see what's scheduled, and not past posts. Makes it hard to get the bigger picture of what's going on for the month, or even trying to see what type of posts you have going out week over week.

You can't save posts to reuse - although you can clone posts that went out within 90 days.

Listening is only available for the top price tier - something most other tools provide for free or with their basic accounts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout allows me to schedule out posts and report on social as a whole.

A Non Profit's Experience with Sprout Social

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the posting and reports feature of Sprout Social best.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could post on multiple platforms at one time. There are so many rules for each platform, I end up going into each platform and posting because with Sprout, I would have to hit compose a few times anyways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The analytics Sprout Social creates are so useful, easy to find, and very accurate! As a Content Strategist, it makes my life much easier in terms of tracking data.

A Fantastic Agency Tool

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting features are what really put Sprout Social above and beyond as a social media management system. Other perks include the social CRM features that allow you to track your entire history with a person online.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Asset Library function is lacking. And while it is advertised as a great feature, it isn't that useable to the powerful brands that are opting to use Sprout Social. The tool is too basic for the average Sprout user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social allows me to schedule, respond, and follow up on a variety of accounts all in one place as a team rather than just an individual.

Easy to use and effective

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, useful analytics and creates easy to understand reports that save time and make the life of a marketer easier and better. If you manage a lot of accounts, it is helpful but costly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price point can be a bit too much for a small agency or freelancer when business is low.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social Media analytics, post scheduling and monitoring. It is easy to use and saves times by unifying data.

Saves me time and brain space

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can so easily recreate a post and reschedule it in the platform. The timing recommendations with the star system are also a great way to take a lot of the guesswork out of when to post for optimal impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
Why aren't assets automatically uploaded to the asset manager and file library when they're uploaded to an individual post? Having to do this process separately has made it so that we don't use this feature as much as we would like to. It requires an additional step to organize and upload files to the library versus uploading them individually with each post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We reuse a lot of content, so Sprout saves us a lot of time when figuring out which posts did well in the past that we could reschedule. The ability to post to multiple platforms and have that customization for the platforms available on this tool is also very beneficial in terms of saving folks time and pain of logging in to post on the platform itself. The ability to view a post the way it would display in the platform also takes some of the anxiety out of a social media manager's life -- when before you'd always wonder how a social media management tool translated to the platform display itself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It takes the guesswork out of scheduling posts and the legwork out of rescheduling previously used posts. Their mobile app is also great for working away from your desk.

Great social media monitoring software with some difficulties

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to compare our organization with others in the same field, social media monitoring, and the scheduling features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The compatibility with Instagram is frustrating as some data works, some doesn't. There is also the mandatory delay with scheduling a post. It would be great to be able to instantly post something as well as schedule it. You cannot tag organizations on Facebook with is incredibly frustrating and leads me to have to post things on Facebook separately. Also annoying that there is a photo uploading size maximum which is not accurate. It won't take more than 4mb or 8 mb, when in reality, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram can all easily take 10mb or more -- it just converts it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier to monitor all mentions, especially useful for scheduling posts, reliably posts content, allows for multiple users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's perfect for Facebook and Twitter, but it's not good an monitoring or posting to Instagram -- if anything, it is more difficult to use sprout than to just email the post and image to yourself and manually put it into Instagram on your phone.
