Best service for experienced and novice social media users alike
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout just makes it easy to do things. From scheduling posts to obtaining approvals from all parties involved, Sprout Social provides an easy to use interface with all the tools needed to get your next viral campaign to the masses. Reports are easy to create and export and the tech support is tops.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instagram does not allow for multi-image posts from Sprout Social and its interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying in touch with members, an easy way to communicate and it allows our team a seamless process for meeting our social media needs.
Best Social Scheduling Solution So Far
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is extremely easy to use. It is laid out in a manner that keeps everything organized so we can work quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had numerous occasions in which we have changed the image on our Facebook posts and then the default image ends up getting posted. This has been frustrating when we have shared "best of" articles and one of our competitors ends up being the default image in the post. We then have to quickly delete the post and manually resubmit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout dramatically decreases the time to post to our social media accounts. It's our one stop shop for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Easy To Use Platform!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite parts of sprout are the analytics and listening tools. It makes it very easy for us to see what's going on on all of our pages and interact or assist patrons when needed. Not only does our marketing department utilize sprout, our customer service does as well and it's easy to give everyone the right permissions for them to best do their job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the platform is very user friendly, it's not very friendly to those with multiple pages (we have 50+) since we're a large retailer with multiple stores. For example, when setting up a post, I have to hand select all 50+ facebook pages 1 at a time instead of being able to select them all at once. It's little things like this that still make managing all of this very cumbersome for someone with more than 5 pages. Also, it would be great to be able to segment pages into groups. For example, we have a lot of stores in Ohio with their own pages. It would be great if I could set up a group for just those stores, so we have have an event going on, I can market it just to them. Trying to fish them out 1 at a time is a pain!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the greatest problem solved for us is in the customer service department. We're on so many different platforms, it was difficult for us to keep up with questions and comments. Now between Sprout platform and YEXT, we can manage everything coming in more efficiently. Where as in the past, someone would ask a question and it would never be answered or it would be weeks before it even seen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hire a team to use this platform. It does make it easier if you are 1 person, but you miss out on a lot unless you're spending your whole day working with this platform. There are A LOT of features to take advantage of!
Great tool for social media marketers and marketing teams
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about sprout is the robust reporting feature - it helps me get a quick overview of what is working and what is not working, our overall numbers and insights on hashtags and competitors. The prescheduling tool (publisher) is a Godsend for us since we have 10 accounts to manage!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could post carousel and stories from the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With optimized time (Sprout Smart Queue) it takes the guesswork and time out of having to figure out when we should be posting and where. I have very limited bandwidth here and numerous accounts, the more that I can automate and systematize the more I can get done. We used to use 3 separate tools - one for twitter, one for Instagram and one for reports - consolidating into Sprout has streamlined out content scheduling process!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an investment compared some of the other tools out there but I promise you nothing has more robust metrics than Sprout.
Straight forward and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is great because it allows you to schedule posts in advance, and it also tells you when the best time to post for each social media platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes our scheduled posts will "fail to post" and there's no reasoning behind it. It's frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The scheduling is the best part of Sprout. It's also great to get reports on engagement, popular posts, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth using! The layout is clean and it's very easy to understand and use. I've learned a lot from using this platform.
Sprout Social is the best
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout allows social media managers to schedule content through multiple platforms while tracking in depth results that help grow your social presence.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I would say is least helpful, but I would add that using a marketing automation tool such as Sprout has been known to descend said ranking content in the algorithms on FB, insta, and Twitter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have realized it helps social media managers stay organized, track content, test content, and pin point where and how you might be losing or gaining followers/clicks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! it us way better than hootsuite or any other tool out there.
User friendly, glitch-free, comprehensive tool
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is an excellent tool for building and publishing social media content calendars across a large number of social media profiles. For agencies dealing with franchises or multi-unit businesses, sometimes we need to publish very similar on-brand content with just certain key words that are different, such as a location phone number or city. Combined with an Excel automation we developed to auto populate these items from our internal CRM, we're able to use Sprout Social's bulk scheduling tool to schedule these posts in a way that is time efficient and error free.
When accounts get disconnected due to an Instagram verification issue or password change, Sprout Social's reconnection process is quick and seamless, keeping down time low. Having worked previously in Falcon.io, that platform often kicked hundreds of accounts off at once, for example every time one of the platforms updated its API, and required us to manually reconnect every single one, which took days and resulted in many clients missing out on promised content - not to mention sometimes content was not published and didn't notify us that there was an error. I trust Sprout Social to get the job done and keep our clients happy! The customizable social metrics reports are also great.
I also enjoy Sprout Social's online response capabilities. After recently attempting to use another platform, Social Studio, to respond to social media comments on behalf of my clients, I found Sprout Social to be much more user friendly. Sprout allows you to easily filter and respond to comments directly on paid/dark Instagram and/or Facebook ads as well as regular organic posts and Facebook recommendations, viewing entire conversation threads while moving new/unhandled comments to the top of your queue. Sprout Social recently added review monitoring/response integration with Google My Business and Tripadvisor as well, so it has become a very useful tool for us.
Sprout Social has a dedicated rep for our team who proactively reaches out whenever there are updates to the platform so she can walk us through them, and aside from that periodically talks with us to make sure we're getting the best use based on all of the platform's capacity. I have spoken with and assessed many similar platforms and found that Sprout Social is more affordable for what it offers.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Sprout Social integrated with Yelp reviews, but Yelp's API is open to very few (if any).
My rep at Sprout Social told me they're working on some more robust reporting for the online response/monitoring side of the platform, but she offered some solutions that are working for us right now, as we're able to track tagging well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scalability is huge for us as an agency, and Sprout Social allows us to manage the diverse social media planning, scheduling, reporting and online response monitoring and management needs of a large number of clients in a way that is efficient, effective, and reliable. Sprout Social is continuously evolving the platform to stay at the forefront of the evolving digital landscape.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will likely have regrets if you choose a different platform -- no regrets with Sprout Social.
Social Media Made Simple
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set up a workflow where someone can create posts and someone else can approve/edit/reject them before they are finally scheduled is invaluable. Also, the calendar view, which allows us to see what is scheduled, when it will post and where it will post to — indispensable.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the rise of Facebook groups, I would love to have the ability to manage groups from within Sprout, rather than having to go to Facebook. There's a Facebook thread where I have seen this feature requested for several years now from many users, so it's definitely something that is needed, not just for our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're effectively monitoring and managing all our social media under a single umbrella. Time savings, organization and workflow approval are the top benefits we have seen.
Being able to set roles and permissions for users within Sprout — per social media page — lets us properly control who has access to post on which page.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you set your roles up properly. It's easy to just give everyone blanket access to everything, but as your company grows, it becomes more apparent that you really should set things up on an "as needed" basis only.
Very good
What do you like best about the product?
The convenience of the program. The user-friendly database, that allows Instagram posts (pictures and video!!) that do not need to be authorized through a mobile device. Great customer service!
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, there are some glitches but we are able to work around them because we understand these things happen
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to put out content on a consistent basis without having to have someone authorize the content on their mobile device. Especially on weekends and holidays

What do you like best about the product?
We love being able to seamlessly post on multiple sites at once. Not only is it easy to schedule, but also to duplicate posts and change them slightly based on the audience/event. It has made us more efficient on social media, reaching more of an audience to share our mission.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to post on instagram stories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is spending less time on social media throughout the day because we are able to schedule a full week/month's worth of posts at once. It is saving us time and allowing us to focus on other things throughout the week.
Additionally, we are better engaging with our social media following because we can do more with sprout social.
