Great first experience with Sprout
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has a really user-friendly dashboard and is visually appealing. That reporting data is presented in a variety of ways that is useful to different types of learners. So far, their support team has been very responsive and helpful in setting up our account. We are also able to respond to incoming messages in one place, instead of through each individual platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a first-time user, Sprout is a bit overwhelming at first. It's hard to know where to start with all of the different capabilities, but I'm looking forward to learning more with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're working towards analyzing our data from social with the help of Sprout. Prior to using Sprout, we were only able to speak anecdotally about what posts were performing well, or not well, but now we'll be able to pull factual data. We are also able to categorize and tag our posts to have better knowledge about what our audience is responding to. We've realized the benefits of tracking similar organizations and the content they put out on social media, to see how we compare.
Easy and efficient to use, creating quality posts that you can learn from.
What do you like best about the product?
For our business, what we liked the best with Sprout Social was the fact that we were able to to have all of our social media platforms and pages routed into one site. The fact that it also helps with being able to compose and post, while still allowing for tagging among some other options from the platforms is also a great feature. This will create an efficiency within our department, allowing us to really dig in, but also be able to help our followers and members as well. The Sprout Social staff that we have had the opportunity to work with so far have also been very friendly and willing to help us with multiple questions and issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to have more profiles to be connected. We are a smaller business in most circles, so having a standard level subscription didn't give us enough profiles and we had to amend to have more. So it would be nice to be able to discuss how many are needed when starting with contract process, so that we are not leaving anything out. The onboarding process was great, I think that that helped out alot, as the first time logging in it seemed a little daunting, but after the meetings with Jesse, we were able to understand more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of having to be on multiple platforms and constantly checking for messages, comments, etc. This creates more efficiencies within our department, allowing us to dig into more and be more productive. This will also help us learn what our followers are engaged in and what works for us going forward. The reporting feature will also lessen the work that will need to be done to pull reports each month, instead of going through insights areas in each platform Sprout Social houses multiple reports that you can filter and manipulate and share.
Great management tool for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use out of the box. There is no complicated learning curve and the tool is user friendly. However, the platform has many robust features if and when you want to dive deeper and do more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as customizable as some other tools. For agencies or large organizations managing many different accounts, I might recommend a different tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to engage with following in an efficient way. Scheduling out content saves time. Compiled reports also saves time and energy.
Most efficient digital workspace
What do you like best about the product?
Easy calendar scheduling for all posts..
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to resize images to fit different social media platforms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time consumption.
I can schedule my posts across the whole month and have more free time
I can schedule my posts across the whole month and have more free time
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Save yourself time and effort and schedule your work tasks on Sprout Social.
Social and Community Forward
What do you like best about the product?
The analytics and listening tool features. Message tagging is incredibly resourceful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout of the inbox. It isn't as user-friendly as some other inboxes we have used previously. A suggestion would be to have the inbox layout be filtered by posts, and then you can comment back to everything on that specific post. At the moment, everything is organized via time each comment/message was posted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and optimization with our content via the listening tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for social optimization and monitoring.
Excellent customer support and onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
Getting our global team onto Sprout has opened up many doors for collaboration and has allowed us at headquarters to have all of our analytics in one centralized system. Onboarding our team was a smooth process and our customer success manager was great at guiding our team through the platform and answering all of the questions we had along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to see our competitive analytics in custom reports, and a few small features that are missing as well - however, these aren't features that any of Sprout's competitors have either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to make data driven decisions from social media metrics and the ability to collaborate as a team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having used a variety of tools in the past (as well as being an employee for Sprout's competitor), I can say that I would highly recommend Sprout to other organizations.
Sprout has saved me a HUGE amount of time and energy
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate that I can manage several different accounts through Sprout Social, without having to log in and out of various accounts all day. The reporting is fantastic, and being able to tag content to see what performs best has been really helpful, too. I also appreciate the hashtag and competitor reporting, and the variety of calendar views. I also really like the Chrome extension for adding articles to LinkedIn, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an Instagram Grid preview feature for desktop, that the asset uploader was better (it's not great for uploading more than two or three photos at a time, and there's no status bar for uploads so I never know if the bulk uploads will happen), as far as I can tell there isn't a way to choose an 'unused asset' for a new post (but maybe I'm missing this somewhere). I also wish there was a line break character available for Instagram captions (right now I copy from elsewhere and paste into Sprout), and that there was a frequently used emoji list instead of looking for the same ones each time. I would also love a Canva integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love not needing to log in and out of several accounts all day! Having the ability to create several drafts and upload from there has been fantastic, too. I also use the 'schedule and duplicate' function every day, and can easily tweak content for different platforms. I have saved a ton of time and energy using Sprout - which lets me spend more time actually creating content. The reporting is super helpful and detailed, too - which also saves me a ton of time each month.
Amazing.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Good reporting. Great separation between projects and folders, good design, amazing tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes certain characters like & would glitch when you posted
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media manager role time management and reporting
Sprout Social has a lot of bells and whistles to amp up your social media game.
What do you like best about the product?
The analytics are definitely the highlight in my opinion compared to other scheduling platforms out there. They get very detailed in what way you'd like to track or measure something which is very cool and can pertain to your niche and business model more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there is no grid over view and I am unable to see how a cropped image will lay in my feed. Most free scheduling tools offer this so I am shocked they don't have anything like this when it comes to scheduling out content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making my job as a social media manager easier by having everything housed in one place. From posting to tracking analytics as well as checking UGC and reviews. Super nice having all live in one place especially when onboarding a new team member I can approve or deny their work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you know what packages are available and see which one lines up with your needs. Some of the pieces in the premium package are vital to your daily routine as a social media manager and you want to utilize them to your best ability and know when it comes time for onboarding so they can properly show you all the tools.
Platform Streamlines Work Flow
What do you like best about the product?
A few things I find helpful are the ability to easily schedule and duplicate posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that you can't post multiple photos to Instagram. And you can't create Facebook photo albums either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is allowing me and my colleague to stay more organized and on the same page with the calendar. No more google docs. What I realized is that statistic reports look way better than what I was doing manually before.
