A great tool, wish pricing were more flexible

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout's reports are visually pleasing and easy to digest, which is especially important for decision makers who might not have much of a marketing background. Comparing your brand against competitors and peers is also easy to do within the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there were lower tier plans you could subscribe to if you do not need the full suite of analytics or publishing tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Sprout to identify patterns in engagement, to learn about my audience, and to keep a finger on the pulse of our (very niche) industry.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a one-stop shop for social media management for an SMB, Sprout ticks a lot of boxes.

Sprout Social - Reporting Capabilities

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our agency loves the visual nature of the Sprout program, especially the reporting section. Its charts, graphs and organization make sharing insights very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see Sprout have expanded capabilities when it comes to in-depth audience reporting beyond the demo and geo info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Sprout, we are improving our social presence for clients by continually measuring performance and diving into the data it provides. It has also helped in research for new business pitches.

Easy platform for managing multiple accounts

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The learning process is quick. At my company, we did a call-in session with Sprout to learn the basics, and it really helped us get to know the layout and answer our preliminary questions. If I have to cover for the main social media manager, I don't get as nervous as I used to when we didn't have everything streamlined. He easily lines up posts ahead of time and I just monitor the messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find it a little confusing to respond to messages. But I don't do it often enough to really comment on the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a secondary user, it makes my life easier to know that all of our accounts are streamlined into one place. I love being able to quickly scroll through all of the latest messages and quickly prioritize who needs an immediate response.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout is very reliable and easy to use. Although my main role is not social media manager, I do have to cover that person from time to time. Before Sprout, I had a hard time stepping in and posting or monitoring. Now I can easily log in and respond to comments, monitor hashtags, and even post if need be. I know that we have had nothing but positive feedback from our clients, who can easily see their analytics.

5+ years of Sprout Social, and I've yet to find something better ... big or small business!

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a clean, easy to use, streamlined tool. I've used bulkier products ... products over-priced because of needless and distracting options. Besides the price, it's the tidiness and focus of Sprout Social that I love!
What do you dislike about the product?
I love the constant updates to Sprout Social, but many of these updates tend to appear without warning. So the UX sometimes changes, and because I haven't been made aware, it can be a little jarring ... though I always appreciate the add-ons and updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a mid-sized private university, and we use Sprout Social to put three different departments--the main brand, alumni, and outreach--under a single, uniform tool. This makes it easier to manage multiple accounts, different audiences, and various brand voices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For others looking at Sprout Social, I'd recommend comparing similarly priced products, but if you're looking for a powerful and lean tool, there's no reason to look at/compare a high-priced, option-heavy product. Stick to apples-to-apples comparisons, and don't waste your time with more expensive/bulky tools.

Love the platform to manage our department and clients!

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the reports it generates for clients. We can customize these very easily and they are very digestible for clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the competitor analysis in Sprout isn't the most valuable resource on the platform. It would be helpful to see these metrics on Instagram and not just Twitter and have more expansive data that we can go back to clients to discuss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often at times in reports images won't download or if we click "reach" to be the number we showcase it just defaults to a different metric. This has been an ongoing issue for a few months.

The benefits are we can manage all clients social, analytics and social media content posting all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the trial to your advantage and make the most of it. I have not used a platform that was more user-friendly than Sprout.

Pretty User Friendly

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to quickly write up and schedule a post for my organization. I also like how I can make one post go on more than one social media site.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only struggle with links when drafting a social media post. I can never get a picture to work on Twitter with the link to an article that I am tweeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm saving a lot of time by using Sprout Social to schedule my posts for the week.

Fun and easy to use

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the layout and the intuitive nature of the platform. For someone new to working in social media it made it really easy to identify where and when I needed to put my attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it got a little clunky moving back and forth between certain areas and at first I felt like my closed comments were hard to locate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its been so much easier navigating all platforms from one place. Really helped save time and energy having everything we needed in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's good to give it a thorough test run and figure out how to divide up the tasks if you have different people using the platform or working on different social platforms. When we first started I think there was some overlap and we could have done a better job figuring out how to use Sprout.

Self-Intuitive and Useful tool for Scheduling

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The calendars that let you visually see where and when content is going on - very helpful for those managing dozens of social media accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
That Facebook links/events can't be shared within scheduled Facebook posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems, just needed the ability to have all my scheduled posts in one place so I could see what was going on. Also the ability to cross-post one post to many different accounts as once. The latter have been invaluable, as going to each individual FB page and posting independently was not efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. Reasonably priced and easy to use.

Sprout is better than most, but could be better

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There's good user experience for publishing across different platforms, the interface is easy to follow and the mobile experience is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics is sometimes different from what the native platforms show. The inbox could also be more organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of publishing across different teams

    Michael S.

Great all in one tool for scheduling, reports, and community management.

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used to only use sprout for scheduling post, but I've recently discovered how much easier it is to manage comments on Facebook and Twitter in Sprout than on the native platforms. Bonus!
What do you dislike about the product?
As with anything, Facebook has its own API on some features, so not everything is going to work from Facebook.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily sit down and schedule a month's worth of posts in the course of one afternoon and not have to worry about it again until the next month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out what your needs are, not what companies are trying to sell you. Buy what works for you.
